Sura al-ʿĀdiyāt 100:2

فَٱلْمُورِيَٰتِ قَدْحًا

fa-l-mūriyāti qadḥan

And strike sparks of fire,

Sura al-ʿĀdiyāt 100:3

فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبْحًا

fa-l-mughīrāti ṣubḥan

And push home the charge in the morning,

Sura al-ʿĀdiyāt 100:4

فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِۦ نَقْعًا

fa-atharna bihi naqʿan

And raise the dust in clouds the while,

Sura al-ʿĀdiyāt 100:5

فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِۦ جَمْعًا

fa-wasaṭna bihi jamʿan

And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;-

Sura al-ʿĀdiyāt 100:6

إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٌ

inna l-insāna li-rabbihi lakanūdun

Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful;

Sura al-ʿĀdiyāt 100:7

وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ

wa-innahu ʿalā dhālika lashahīdun

And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds);

Sura al-ʿĀdiyāt 100:8

وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ

wa-innahu liḥubbi l-khayri la-shadīdun

And violent is he in his love of wealth.
