Sura Hūd 11:8

وَلَئِنْ أَخَّرْنَا عَنْهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابَ إِلَىٰٓ أُمَّةٍ مَّعْدُودَةٍ لَّيَقُولُنَّ مَا يَحْبِسُهُۥٓ أَلَا يَوْمَ يَأْتِيهِمْ لَيْسَ مَصْرُوفًا عَنْهُمْ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

wa-lain akhkharnā ʿanhumu l-ʿadhāba ila ummatin maʿdūdatin llayaqūlunna mā yaḥbisuhu āla yawma yaʾtīhim laysa maṣrūfan ʿanhum wa-ḥāqa bihim mā kānū bihi yastahziʾūna

If We delay the penalty for them for a definite term, they are sure to say, "What keeps it back?" Ah! On the day it (actually) reaches them, nothing will turn it away from them, and they will be completely encircled by that which they used to mock at!

Sura Hūd 11:9

وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِنَّا رَحْمَةً ثُمَّ نَزَعْنَٰهَا مِنْهُ إِنَّهُۥ لَيَـُٔوسٌ كَفُورٌ

wa-lain adhaqnā l-insāna minnā raḥmatan thumma nazaʿnāhā minhu innahu la-yaʾūsun kafūrun

If We give man a taste of Mercy from Ourselves, and then withdraw it from him, behold! he is in despair and (falls into) blasphemy.

Sura Hūd 11:10

وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَٰهُ نَعْمَآءَ بَعْدَ ضَرَّآءَ مَسَّتْهُ لَيَقُولَنَّ ذَهَبَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتُ عَنِّىٓ إِنَّهُۥ لَفَرِحٌ فَخُورٌ

wa-lain adhaqnāhu naʿmāa baʿda ḍarrāʾa massathu la-yaqūlanna dhahaba l-sayyiʾātu ʿannī innahu lafariḥun fakhūrun

But if We give him a taste of (Our) favours after adversity hath touched him, he is sure to say, "All evil has departed from me:" Behold! he falls into exultation and pride.

Sura Hūd 11:11

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ

illā lladhīna ṣabarū wa-ʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti ulāʾika lahum maghfiratun wa-ajrun kabīrun

Not so do those who show patience and constancy, and work righteousness; for them is forgiveness (of sins) and a great reward.

Sura Hūd 11:12

فَلَعَلَّكَ تَارِكٌۢ بَعْضَ مَا يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَيْكَ وَضَآئِقٌۢ بِهِۦ صَدْرُكَ أَن يَقُولُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ كَنزٌ أَوْ جَآءَ مَعَهُۥ مَلَكٌ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ نَذِيرٌ وَٱللَّـهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَكِيلٌ

fa-laʿallaka tārikun baʿḍa mā yūḥā ilayka wa-ḍāʾiqun bihi ṣadruka an yaqūlū lawlā unzila ʿalayhi kanzun aw jāa maʿahu malakun innamā anta nadhīrun wallāhu ʿalā kulli shayʾin wakīlun

Perchance thou mayest (feel the inclination) to give up a part of what is revealed unto thee, and thy heart feeleth straightened lest they say, "Why is not a treasure sent down unto him, or why does not an angel come down with him?" But thou art there only to warn! It is Allah that arrangeth all affairs!

Sura Hūd 11:13

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ قُلْ فَأْتُوا۟ بِعَشْرِ سُوَرٍ مِّثْلِهِۦ مُفْتَرَيَٰتٍ وَٱدْعُوا۟ مَنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

am yaqūlūna iftarāhu qul fa-ʾtū bi-ʿashri suwarin mithlihi muftarayātin wa-idʿū mani istaṭaʿtum min dūni allāhi in kuntum ṣādiqīna

Or they may say, "He forged it," Say, "Bring ye then ten suras forged, like unto it, and call (to your aid) whomsoever ye can, other than Allah!- If ye speak the truth!

Sura Hūd 11:14

فَإِلَّمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَكُمْ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَآ أُنزِلَ بِعِلْمِ ٱللَّـهِ وَأَن لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَهَلْ أَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ

fa-illam yastajībū la-kum fa-iʿlamū annamā unzila biʿilmi allāhi wa-an lā ilāha illā huwa fa-hal antum muslimūna

"If then they (your false gods) answer not your (call), know ye that this revelation is sent down (replete) with the knowledge of Allah, and that there is no god but He! will ye even then submit (to Islam)?"
