Surah 19 Maryam (Mary)

(19:34)	ذَٰلِكَ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ قَوْلَ ٱلْحَقِّ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ	dhālika ʿīsā ibnu maryama qawla l‑ḥaqqi alladhī fīhi yamtarūna	Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute. Sura Maryam 19:34 ذَٰلِكَ عِيسَى ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ قَوْلَ ٱلْحَقِّ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ dhālika ʿīsā ibnu maryama qawla l-ḥaqqi alladhī fīhi yamtarūna Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.
(19:35)	مَا كَانَ لِلَّـهِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ مِن وَلَدٍ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥٓ إِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ	mā kāna lillāhi an yattakhidha min waladin subḥānahu idhā qaḍa amran fa‑innamā yaqūlu lahu kun fa‑yakūnu	It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, "Be", and it is. Sura Maryam 19:35 مَا كَانَ لِلَّـهِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ مِن وَلَدٍ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥٓ إِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ mā kāna lillāhi an yattakhidha min waladin subḥānahu idhā qaḍa amran fa-innamā yaqūlu lahu kun fa-yakūnu It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, "Be", and it is.
(19:36)	وَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ رَبِّى وَرَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ	wa‑inna allāha rabbī wa‑rabbukum fa‑iʿbudūhu hādhā ṣirāṭun mustaqīmun	Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve ye: this is a Way that is straight. Sura Maryam 19:36 وَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ رَبِّى وَرَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُوهُ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌ wa-inna allāha rabbī wa-rabbukum fa-iʿbudūhu hādhā ṣirāṭun mustaqīmun Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve ye: this is a Way that is straight.
(19:37)	فَٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَيْنِهِمْ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن مَّشْهَدِ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ	fa‑ikhtalafa l‑aḥzābu min baynihim fa‑waylun li‑lladhīna kafarū min mashhadi yawmin ʿaẓīmin	But the sects differ among themselves: and woe to the unbelievers because of the (coming) Judgment of a Momentous Day! Sura Maryam 19:37 فَٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَيْنِهِمْ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن مَّشْهَدِ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ fa-ikhtalafa l-aḥzābu min baynihim fa-waylun li-lladhīna kafarū min mashhadi yawmin ʿaẓīmin But the sects differ among themselves: and woe to the unbelievers because of the (coming) Judgment of a Momentous Day!
(19:38)	أَسْمِعْ بِهِمْ وَأَبْصِرْ يَوْمَ يَأْتُونَنَا لَٰكِنِ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ ٱلْيَوْمَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ	asmiʿ bihim wa‑abṣir yawma yaʾtūnana lākini l‑ẓālimūna l‑yawma fī ḍalālin mubīnin	How plainly will they see and hear, the Day that they will appear before Us! but the unjust today are in error manifest! Sura Maryam 19:38 أَسْمِعْ بِهِمْ وَأَبْصِرْ يَوْمَ يَأْتُونَنَا لَٰكِنِ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ ٱلْيَوْمَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ asmiʿ bihim wa-abṣir yawma yaʾtūnana lākini l-ẓālimūna l-yawma fī ḍalālin mubīnin How plainly will they see and hear, the Day that they will appear before Us! but the unjust today are in error manifest!
(19:39)	وَأَنذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْحَسْرَةِ إِذْ قُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍ وَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ	wa‑andhirhum yawma l‑ḥasrati idh quḍiya l‑amru wa‑hum fī ghaflatin wa‑hum lā yuʾminūna	But warn them of the Day of Distress, when the matter will be determined: for (behold,) they are negligent and they do not believe! Sura Maryam 19:39 وَأَنذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْحَسْرَةِ إِذْ قُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍ وَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ wa-andhirhum yawma l-ḥasrati idh quḍiya l-amru wa-hum fī ghaflatin wa-hum lā yuʾminūna But warn them of the Day of Distress, when the matter will be determined: for (behold,) they are negligent and they do not believe!
(19:40)	إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَرِثُ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا وَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ	innā naḥnu narithu l‑arḍa wa‑man ʿalayhā wa‑ilaynā yurjaʿūna	It is We Who will inherit the earth, and all beings thereon: to Us will they all be returned. Sura Maryam 19:40 إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَرِثُ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا وَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ innā naḥnu narithu l-arḍa wa-man ʿalayhā wa-ilaynā yurjaʿūna It is We Who will inherit the earth, and all beings thereon: to Us will they all be returned.
