Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:89

وَزَكَرِيَّآ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِى فَرْدًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ

wa-zakarīyā idh nādā rabbahu rabbi lā tadharnī fardan waanta khayru l-wārithīna

And (remember) Zakariya, when he cried to his Lord: "O my Lord! leave me not without offspring, though thou art the best of inheritors."

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:90

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥ يَحْيَىٰ وَأَصْلَحْنَا لَهُۥ زَوْجَهُۥٓ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَيَدْعُونَنَا رَغَبًا وَرَهَبًا وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا خَٰشِعِينَ

fa-istajabnā lahu wa-wahabnā lahu yaḥyā wa-aṣlaḥnā lahu zawjahu innahum kānū yusāriʿūna fī l-khayrāti wa-yadʿūnanā raghaban wa-rahaban wa-kānū la-nā khāshiʿīna

So We listened to him: and We granted him Yahya: We cured his wife's (Barrenness) for him. These (three) were ever quick in emulation in good works; they used to call on Us with love and reverence, and humble themselves before Us.

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:91

وَٱلَّتِىٓ أَحْصَنَتْ فَرْجَهَا فَنَفَخْنَا فِيهَا مِن رُّوحِنَا وَجَعَلْنَٰهَا وَٱبْنَهَآ ءَايَةً لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ

wa-allatī aḥṣanat farjahā fanafakhnā fīhā min rrūḥinā wa-jaʿalnāhā wa-abnahā āyatan lil-ʿālamīna

And (remember) her who guarded her chastity: We breathed into her of Our spirit, and We made her and her son a sign for all peoples.

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:92

إِنَّ هَٰذِهِۦٓ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَٰحِدَةً وَأَنَا۠ رَبُّكُمْ فَٱعْبُدُونِ

inna hādhihi ummatukum ummatan wāḥidatan wa-anā rabbukum fa-iʿbudūni

Verily, this brotherhood of yours is a single brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore serve Me (and no other).

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:93

وَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَهُم بَيْنَهُمْ كُلٌّ إِلَيْنَا رَٰجِعُونَ

wa-ṭaqaṭṭaʿū amrahum baynahum kullun ilaynā rājiʿūna

But (later generations) cut off their affair (of unity), one from another: (yet) will they all return to Us.

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:94

فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَا كُفْرَانَ لِسَعْيِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَهُۥ كَٰتِبُونَ

fa-man yaʿmal mina l-ṣāliḥāti wa-huwa muʾminun fa-lā kufrāna lisaʿyihi wa-innā lahu kātibūna

Whoever works any act of righteousness and has faith,- His endeavour will not be rejected: We shall record it in his favour.

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:95

وَحَرَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَٰهَآ أَنَّهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ

wa-ḥarāmun ʿalā qaryatin ahlaknāhā annahum lā yarjiʿūna

But there is a ban on any population which We have destroyed: that they shall not return,
