Sura al-Muʾminūn 23:80

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ وَلَهُ ٱخْتِلَٰفُ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

wa-huwa alladhī yuḥyi wa-yumītu wa-lahu ikhtilāfu l-layli wa-l-nahāri a-fa-lā taʿqilūna

It is He Who gives life and death, and to Him (is due) the alternation of Night and Day: will ye not then understand?

Sura al-Muʾminūn 23:81

بَلْ قَالُوا۟ مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ

bal qālū mithla mā qalā l-awwalūna

On the contrary they say things similar to what the ancients said.

Sura al-Muʾminūn 23:82

قَالُوٓا۟ أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ

qālū a-idhā mitnā wa-kunnā turāban wa-ʿiẓāman a-innā la-mabʿūthūna

They say: "What! when we die and become dust and bones, could we really be raised up again?

Sura al-Muʾminūn 23:83

لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَءَابَآؤُنَا هَٰذَا مِن قَبْلُ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

la-qad wuʿidnā naḥnu wa-ābāunā hādhā min qablu in hādhā illā asāṭīru l-awwalīna

"Such things have been promised to us and to our fathers before! they are nothing but tales of the ancients!"

Sura al-Muʾminūn 23:84

قُل لِّمَنِ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهَآ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

qul li-mani l-arḍu wa-man fīhā in kuntum taʿlamūna

Say: "To whom belong the earth and all beings therein? (say) if ye know!"

Sura al-Muʾminūn 23:85

سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّـهِ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

sa-yaqūlūna lillāhi qul a-fa-lā tadhakkarūna

They will say, "To Allah!" say: "Yet will ye not receive admonition?"

Sura al-Muʾminūn 23:86

قُلْ مَن رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ ٱلسَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

qul man rrabbu l-samāwāti l-sabʿi wa-rabbu l-ʿarshi l-ʿaẓīmi

Say: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme?"
