Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:151

وَلَا تُطِيعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ

wa-lā tuṭīʿū amra l-musrifīna

"And follow not the bidding of those who are extravagant,-

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:152

ٱلَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ

lladhīna yufsidūna fī l-arḍi wa-lā yuṣliḥūna

"Who make mischief in the land, and mend not (their ways)."

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:153

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ

qālū innamā anta mina l-musaḥḥarīna

They said: "Thou art only one of those bewitched!

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:154

مَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

mā anta illā basharun mithlunā fa-ʾti bi-āyatin in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīna

"Thou art no more than a mortal like us: then bring us a Sign, if thou tellest the truth!"

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:155

قَالَ هَٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةٌ لَّهَا شِرْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَّعْلُومٍ

qalā hādhihi nāqatun llahā shirbun wa-lakum shirbu yawmin maʿlūmin

He said: "Here is a she-camel: she has a right of watering, and ye have a right of watering, (severally) on a day appointed.

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:156

وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ

wa-lā tamassūhā bi-sūʾin fa-yaʾkhudhakum ʿadhābu yawmin ʿaẓīmin

"Touch her not with harm, lest the Penalty of a Great Day seize you."

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:157

فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ نَٰدِمِينَ

faʿaqarūhā fa-aṣbaḥū nādimīna

But they ham-strung her: then did they become full of regrets.
