Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:54

إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌ قَلِيلُونَ

inna hāʾulāʾi la-shirdhimatun qalīlūna

(Saying): "These (Israelites) are but a small band,

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:55

وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَآئِظُونَ

wa-innahum la-nā la-ghāʾiẓūna

"And they are raging furiously against us;

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:56

وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَٰذِرُونَ

wa-innā la-jamīʿun ḥādhirūna

"But we are a multitude amply fore-warned."

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:57

فَأَخْرَجْنَٰهُم مِّن جَنَّٰتٍ وَعُيُونٍ

faakhrajnāhum min jannātin wa-ʿuyūnin

So We expelled them from gardens, springs,

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:58

وَكُنُوزٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ

wa-kunūzin wa-maqāmin karīmin

Treasures, and every kind of honourable position;

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:59

كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَٰهَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

ka-dhālika wa-awrathnāhā banī isrāʾīla

Thus it was, but We made the Children of Israel inheritors of such things.

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:60

فَأَتْبَعُوهُم مُّشْرِقِينَ

fa-atbaʿūhum mushriqīna

So they pursued them at sunrise.
