Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:75

قَالَ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ

qalā a-fa-raʾaytum mā kuntum taʿbudūna

He said: "Do ye then see whom ye have been worshipping,-

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:76

أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ

antum wa-ābāukumu l-aqdamūna

"Ye and your fathers before you?-

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:77

فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِّىٓ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

fainnahum ʿaduwwun llī illā rabba l-ʿālamīna

"For they are enemies to me; not so the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds;

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:78

ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَنِى فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ

alladhī khalaqanī fa-huwa yahdīni

"Who created me, and it is He Who guides me;

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:79

وَٱلَّذِى هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِى وَيَسْقِينِ

wa-lladhī huwa yuṭʿimunī wa-yasqīni

"Who gives me food and drink,

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:80

وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ

wa-idhā mariḍtu fa-huwa yashfīni

"And when I am ill, it is He Who cures me;

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:81

وَٱلَّذِى يُمِيتُنِى ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ

wa-lladhī yumītunī thumma yuḥyīni

"Who will cause me to die, and then to life (again);
