Sura al-Rūm 30:54

ٱللَّـهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن ضَعْفٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ضَعْفٍ قُوَّةً ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍ ضَعْفًا وَشَيْبَةً يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٱلْقَدِيرُ

allāhu alladhī khalaqakum min ḍaʿfin thumma jaʿala min baʿdi ḍaʿfin quwwatan thumma jaʿala min baʿdi quwwatin ḍaʿfan wa-shaybatan yakhluqu mā yashāʾu wa-huwa l-ʿalīmu l-qadīru

It is Allah Who created you in a state of (helpless) weakness, then gave (you) strength after weakness, then, after strength, gave (you weakness and a hoary head: He creates as He wills, and it is He Who has all knowledge and power.

Sura al-Rūm 30:55

وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يُقْسِمُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ مَا لَبِثُوا۟ غَيْرَ سَاعَةٍ كَذَٰلِكَ كَانُوا۟ يُؤْفَكُونَ

wa-yawma taqūmu l-sāʿatu yuqsimu l-mujrimūna mā labithū ghayra sāʿatin ka-dhālika kānū yuʾfakūna

On the Day that the Hour (of Reckoning) will be established, the transgressors will swear that they tarried not but an hour: thus were they used to being deluded!

Sura al-Rūm 30:56

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ وَٱلْإِيمَٰنَ لَقَدْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِى كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّـهِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْبَعْثِ فَهَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْبَعْثِ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

wa-qāla lladhīna ūtū l-ʿilma wa-alīmāna la-qad labithtum fī kitābi allāhi ilā yawmi l-baʿthi fa-hādhā yawmu l-baʿthi wa-lākinnakum kuntum lā taʿlamūna

But those endued with knowledge and faith will say: "Indeed ye did tarry, within Allah's Decree, to the Day of Resurrection, and this is the Day of Resurrection: but ye - ye were not aware!"

Sura al-Rūm 30:57

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يَنفَعُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ

fa-yawmaʾidhin lā yanfaʿu lladhīna ẓalamū maʿdhiratuhum wa-lā hum yustaʿtabūna

So on that Day no excuse of theirs will avail the transgressors, nor will they be invited (then) to seek grace (by repentance).

Sura al-Rūm 30:58

وَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِى هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ وَلَئِن جِئْتَهُم بِـَٔايَةٍ لَّيَقُولَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُبْطِلُونَ

wa-la-qad ḍarabnā lil-nāsi fī hādhā l-qurʾāni min kulli mathalin wa-laʾin jiʾtahum bi-āyatin la-yaqūlanna lladhīna kafarū in antum illā mubṭilūna

verily We have propounded for men, in this Qur'an every kind of Parable: But if thou bring to them any Sign, the Unbelievers are sure to say, "Ye do nothing but talk vanities."

Sura al-Rūm 30:59

كَذَٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

ka-dhālika yaṭbaʿu allāhu ʿalā qulūbi lladhīna lā yaʿlamūna

Thus does Allah seal up the hearts of those who understand not.

Sura al-Rūm 30:60

فَٱصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّـهِ حَقٌّ وَلَا يَسْتَخِفَّنَّكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُوقِنُونَ

fa-iṣbir inna waʿda allāhi ḥaqqun wa-lā yastakhiffannaka lladhīna lā yūqinūna

So patiently persevere: for verily the promise of Allah is true: nor let those shake thy firmness, who have (themselves) no certainty of faith.
