Surah 35 al-Faṭīr (The Creator)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(35:20)

وَلَا  ٱلظُّلُمَٰتُ  وَلَا  ٱلنُّورُ wa‑lā l‑ẓulumātu wa‑lā l‑nūru
Nor are the depths of Darkness and the Light;
(35:21)

وَلَا  ٱلظِّلُّ  وَلَا  ٱلْحَرُورُ wa‑lā l‑ẓillu wa‑lā l‑ḥarūru
Nor are the (chilly) shade and the (genial) heat of the sun:
(35:22)

وَمَا  يَسْتَوِى  ٱلْأَحْيَآءُ  وَلَا  ٱلْأَمْوَٰتُ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  يُسْمِعُ  مَن  يَشَآءُ  وَمَآ  أَنتَ  بِمُسْمِعٍ  مَّن  فِى  ٱلْقُبُورِ wa‑mā yastawī l‑aḥyāʾu wa‑lā l‑amwātu inna allāha yusmiʿu man yashāʾu wa‑mā anta bi‑musmiʿin man l‑qubūri
Nor are alike those that are living and those that are dead. Allah can make any that He wills to hear; but thou canst not make those to hear who are (buried) in graves.
(35:23)

إِنْ  أَنتَ  إِلَّا  نَذِيرٌ in anta illā nadhīrun
Thou art no other than a warner.
(35:24)

إِنَّآ  أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ  بِٱلْحَقِّ  بَشِيرًا  وَنَذِيرًا  وَإِن  مِّنْ  أُمَّةٍ  إِلَّا  خَلَا  فِيهَا  نَذِيرٌ innā arsalnāka bil‑ḥaqqi bashīran wa‑nadhīran wa‑in min ummatin illā khalā fīhā nadhīrun
Verily We have sent thee in truth, as a bearer of glad tidings, and as a warner: and there never was a people, without a warner having lived among them (in the past).
(35:25)

وَإِن  يُكَذِّبُوكَ  فَقَدْ  كَذَّبَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  مِن  قَبْلِهِمْ  جَآءَتْهُمْ  رُسُلُهُم  بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ  وَبِٱلزُّبُرِ  وَبِٱلْكِتَٰبِ  ٱلْمُنِيرِ wa‑in yukadhdhibūka fa‑qad kadhdhaba lladhīna min qablihim jāʾathum rusuluhum bil‑bayyināti wa‑bil‑zuburi wa‑bil‑kitābi l‑munīri
And if they reject thee, so did their predecessors, to whom came their messengers with Clear Signs, Books of dark prophecies, and the Book of Enlightenment.
(35:26)

ثُمَّ  أَخَذْتُ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  فَكَيْفَ  كَانَ  نَكِيرِ thumma akhadhtu lladhīna kafarū fa‑kayfa kāna nakīri
In the end did I punish those who rejected Faith: and how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)!
