Sura al-Ghāfir 40:11

قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ أَمَتَّنَا ٱثْنَتَيْنِ وَأَحْيَيْتَنَا ٱثْنَتَيْنِ فَٱعْتَرَفْنَا بِذُنُوبِنَا فَهَلْ إِلَىٰ خُرُوجٍ مِّن سَبِيلٍ

qālū rabbanā amattanā ithnatayni wa-aḥyaytanā ithnatayni fa-iʿtarafnā bi-dhunūbinā fa-hal ilā khurūjin min sabīlin

They will say: "Our Lord! twice hast Thou made us without life, and twice hast Thou given us Life! Now have we recognised our sins: Is there any way out (of this)?"

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:12

ذَٰلِكُم بِأَنَّهُۥٓ إِذَا دُعِىَ ٱللَّـهُ وَحْدَهُۥ كَفَرْتُمْ وَإِن يُشْرَكْ بِهِۦ تُؤْمِنُوا۟ فَٱلْحُكْمُ لِلَّـهِ ٱلْعَلِىِّ ٱلْكَبِيرِ

dhālikum biannahu idhā duʿiya allāhu waḥdahu kafartum wa-in yushrak bihi tūʾminū fa-l-ḥukmu lillāhi l-ʿaliyyi l-kabīri

(The answer will be:) "This is because, when Allah was invoked as the Only (object of worship), ye did reject Faith, but when partners were joined to Him, ye believed! the Command is with Allah, Most High, Most Great!"

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:13

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُرِيكُمْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ وَيُنَزِّلُ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقًا وَمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ إِلَّا مَن يُنِيبُ

huwa alladhī yurīkum āyātihi wa-yunazzilu la-kum mina l-samāʾi rizqan wa-mā yatadhakkaru illā man yunību

He it is Who showeth you his Signs, and sendeth down sustenance for you from the sky: but only those receive admonition who turn (to Allah).

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:14

فَٱدْعُوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

fa-idʿu allāha mukhliṣīna lahu l-dīna wa-law kariha l-kāfirūna

Call ye, then, upon Allah with sincere devotion to Him, even though the Unbelievers may detest it.

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:15

رَفِيعُ ٱلدَّرَجَٰتِ ذُو ٱلْعَرْشِ يُلْقِى ٱلرُّوحَ مِنْ أَمْرِهِۦ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ لِيُنذِرَ يَوْمَ ٱلتَّلَاقِ

rafīʿu l-darajāti dhū l-ʿarshi yulqī l-rūḥa min amrihi ʿalā man yashāʾu min ʿibādihi li-yundhira yawma l-talāqi

Raised high above ranks (or degrees), (He is) the Lord of the Throne (of Authority): by His Command doth He send the Spirit (of inspiration) to any of His servants he pleases, that it may warn (men) of the Day of Mutual Meeting,-

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:16

يَوْمَ هُم بَٰرِزُونَ لَا يَخْفَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّـهِ مِنْهُمْ شَىْءٌ لِّمَنِ ٱلْمُلْكُ ٱلْيَوْمَ لِلَّـهِ ٱلْوَٰحِدِ ٱلْقَهَّارِ

yawma hum bārizūna lā yakhfā ʿalā allāhi minhum shayʾun li-mani l-mulku l-yawma lillāhi l-wāḥidi l-qahhāri

The Day whereon they will (all) come forth: not a single thing concerning them is hidden from Allah. Whose will be the dominion that Day?" That of Allah, the One the Irresistible!

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:17

ٱلْيَوْمَ تُجْزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ لَا ظُلْمَ ٱلْيَوْمَ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ سَرِيعُ ٱلْحِسَابِ

l-yawma tujzā kullu nafsin bi-mā kasabat lā ẓulma l-yawma inna allāha sarīʿu l-ḥisābi

That Day will every soul be requited for what it earned; no injustice will there be that Day, for Allah is Swift in taking account.
