Sura Fuṣṣilat 41:23

وَذَٰلِكُمْ ظَنُّكُمُ ٱلَّذِى ظَنَنتُم بِرَبِّكُمْ أَرْدَىٰكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم مِّنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ

wa-dhālikum ẓannukumu alladhī ẓanantum birabbikum ardākum fa-aṣbaḥtum mina l-khāsirīna

"But this thought of yours which ye did entertain concerning your Lord, hath brought you to destruction, and (now) have ye become of those utterly lost!"

Sura Fuṣṣilat 41:24

فَإِن يَصْبِرُوا۟ فَٱلنَّارُ مَثْوًى لَّهُمْ وَإِن يَسْتَعْتِبُوا۟ فَمَا هُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُعْتَبِينَ

fa-in yaṣbirū fa-l-nāru mathwan lahum wa-in yastaʿtibū fa-mā hum mina l-muʿtabīna

If, then, they have patience, the Fire will be a home for them! and if they beg to be received into favour, into favour will they not (then) be received.

Sura Fuṣṣilat 41:25

وَقَيَّضْنَا لَهُمْ قُرَنَآءَ فَزَيَّنُوا۟ لَهُم مَّا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ وَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْقَوْلُ فِىٓ أُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ خَٰسِرِينَ

wa-qayyaḍnā lahum quranāʾa fa-zayyanū lahum mā bayna aydīhim wa-mā khalfahum wa-ḥaqqa ʿalayhimu l-qawlu fī umamin qad khalat min qablihim mina l-jinni wa-l-insi innahum kānū khāsirīna

And We have destined for them intimate companions (of like nature), who made alluring to them what was before them and behind them; and the sentence among the previous generations of Jinns and men, who have passed away, is proved against them; for they are utterly lost.

Sura Fuṣṣilat 41:26

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَا تَسْمَعُوا۟ لِهَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ وَٱلْغَوْا۟ فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَغْلِبُونَ

wa-qāla lladhīna kafarū lā tasmaʿū li-hādhā l-qurʾāni wa-l-ghaw fīhi la-ʿallakum taghlibūna

The Unbelievers say: "Listen not to this Qur'an, but talk at random in the midst of its (reading), that ye may gain the upper hand!"

Sura Fuṣṣilat 41:27

فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَسْوَأَ ٱلَّذِى كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

fa-la-nudhīqanna lladhīna kafarū ʿadhāban shadīdan wa-la-najziyannahum aswaʾa alladhī kānū yaʿmalūna

But We will certainly give the Unbelievers a taste of a severe Penalty, and We will requite them for the worst of their deeds.

Sura Fuṣṣilat 41:28

ذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ أَعْدَآءِ ٱللَّـهِ ٱلنَّارُ لَهُمْ فِيهَا دَارُ ٱلْخُلْدِ جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ

dhālika jazāʾu aʿdāʾi allāhi l-nāru lahum fīhā dāru l-khuldi jazāʾan bi-mā kānū bi-āyātinā yajḥadūna

Such is the requital of the enemies of Allah,- the Fire: therein will be for them the Eternal Home: a (fit) requital, for that they were wont to reject Our Signs.

Sura Fuṣṣilat 41:29

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ أَرِنَا ٱلَّذَيْنِ أَضَلَّانَا مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ نَجْعَلْهُمَا تَحْتَ أَقْدَامِنَا لِيَكُونَا مِنَ ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ

wa-qāla lladhīna kafarū rabbanā arinā lladhayni aḍallānā mina l-jinni wa-l-insi najʿalhumā taḥta aqdāminā li-yakūnā mina l-asfalīna

And the Unbelievers will say: "Our Lord! Show us those, among Jinns and men, who misled us: We shall crush them beneath our feet, so that they become the vilest (before all)."
