(42:3) | كَذَٰلِكَ يُوحِىٓ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكَ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ | ka‑dhālika yūḥī ilayka wa‑ilā lladhīna min qablika allāhu l‑ʿazīzu l‑ḥakīmu | Thus doth (He) send inspiration to thee as (He did) to those
before thee,- Allah, Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom.
Sura al-Shūrā 42:3 كَذَٰلِكَ يُوحِىٓ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكَ ٱللَّـهُ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ka-dhālika yūḥī ilayka wa-ilā lladhīna min qablika allāhu l-ʿazīzu l-ḥakīmu Thus doth (He) send inspiration to thee as (He did) to those before thee,- Allah, Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom. |
(42:4) | لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَلِىُّ ٱلْعَظِيمُ | lahu mā fī l‑samāwāti wa‑mā fī l‑arḍi wa‑huwa l‑ʿaliyyu l‑ʿaẓīmu | To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: and He
is Most High, Most Great.
Sura al-Shūrā 42:4 لَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَلِىُّ ٱلْعَظِيمُ lahu mā fī l-samāwāti wa-mā fī l-arḍi wa-huwa l-ʿaliyyu l-ʿaẓīmu To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: and He is Most High, Most Great. |
(42:5) | تَكَادُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِن فَوْقِهِنَّ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَلَآ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ هُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ | takādu l‑samāwātu yaṭafaṭṭarna min fawqihinna wa‑l‑malāʾikatu yusabbiḥūna bi‑ḥamdi rabbihim wa‑yastaghfirūna li‑man fī l‑arḍi āla inna allāha huwa l‑ghafūru l‑raḥīmu | The heavens are almost rent asunder from above them (by Him
Glory): and the angels celebrate the Praises of their Lord, and pray for
forgiveness for (all) beings on earth: Behold! Verily Allah is He, the
Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Sura al-Shūrā 42:5 تَكَادُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِن فَوْقِهِنَّ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَلَآ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ هُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ takādu l-samāwātu yaṭafaṭṭarna min fawqihinna wa-l-malāʾikatu yusabbiḥūna bi-ḥamdi rabbihim wa-yastaghfirūna li-man fī l-arḍi āla inna allāha huwa l-ghafūru l-raḥīmu The heavens are almost rent asunder from above them (by Him Glory): and the angels celebrate the Praises of their Lord, and pray for forgiveness for (all) beings on earth: Behold! Verily Allah is He, the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
(42:6) | وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ حَفِيظٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِوَكِيلٍ | wa‑lladhīna ittakhadhū min dūnihi awliyāʾa allāhu ḥafīẓun ʿalayhim wa‑mā anta ʿalayhim bi‑wakīlin | And those who take as protectors others besides Him,- Allah doth
watch over them; and thou art not the disposer of their affairs.
Sura al-Shūrā 42:6 وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ حَفِيظٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَمَآ أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِوَكِيلٍ wa-lladhīna ittakhadhū min dūnihi awliyāʾa allāhu ḥafīẓun ʿalayhim wa-mā anta ʿalayhim bi-wakīlin And those who take as protectors others besides Him,- Allah doth watch over them; and thou art not the disposer of their affairs. |
(42:7) | وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ قُرْءَانًا عَرَبِيًّا لِّتُنذِرَ أُمَّ ٱلْقُرَىٰ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَتُنذِرَ يَوْمَ ٱلْجَمْعِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ فَرِيقٌ فِى ٱلْجَنَّةِ وَفَرِيقٌ فِى ٱلسَّعِيرِ | wa‑ka‑dhālika awḥaynā ilayka qurʾānan ʿarabiyyan li‑tundhira umma l‑qurā wa‑man ḥawlahā wa‑tundhira yawma l‑jamʿi lā rayba fīhi farīqun fī l‑jannati wa‑farīqun fī l‑saʿīri | Thus have We sent by inspiration to thee an Arabic Qur'an:
that thou mayest warn the Mother of Cities and all around her,- and warn
(them) of the Day of Assembly, of which there is no doubt: (when) some will
be in the Garden, and some in the Blazing Fire.
Sura al-Shūrā 42:7 وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ قُرْءَانًا عَرَبِيًّا لِّتُنذِرَ أُمَّ ٱلْقُرَىٰ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَتُنذِرَ يَوْمَ ٱلْجَمْعِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ فَرِيقٌ فِى ٱلْجَنَّةِ وَفَرِيقٌ فِى ٱلسَّعِيرِ wa-ka-dhālika awḥaynā ilayka qurʾānan ʿarabiyyan li-tundhira umma l-qurā wa-man ḥawlahā wa-tundhira yawma l-jamʿi lā rayba fīhi farīqun fī l-jannati wa-farīqun fī l-saʿīri Thus have We sent by inspiration to thee an Arabic Qur'an: that thou mayest warn the Mother of Cities and all around her,- and warn (them) of the Day of Assembly, of which there is no doubt: (when) some will be in the Garden, and some in the Blazing Fire. |
