Surah 53 al-Najm (The Star)

(53:15)	عِندَهَا جَنَّةُ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰٓ	ʿindahā jannatu l‑maʾwā	Near it is the Garden of Abode. Sura al-Najm 53:15 عِندَهَا جَنَّةُ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰٓ ʿindahā jannatu l-maʾwā Near it is the Garden of Abode.
(53:16)	إِذْ يَغْشَى ٱلسِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَىٰ	idh yaghshā l‑sidrata mā yaghshā	Behold, the Lote-tree was shrouded (in mystery unspeakable!) Sura al-Najm 53:16 إِذْ يَغْشَى ٱلسِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَىٰ idh yaghshā l-sidrata mā yaghshā Behold, the Lote-tree was shrouded (in mystery unspeakable!)
(53:17)	مَا زَاغَ ٱلْبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغَىٰ	mā zāgha l‑baṣaru wa‑mā ṭaghā	(His) sight never swerved, nor did it go wrong! Sura al-Najm 53:17 مَا زَاغَ ٱلْبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغَىٰ mā zāgha l-baṣaru wa-mā ṭaghā (His) sight never swerved, nor did it go wrong!
(53:18)	لَقَدْ رَأَىٰ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰٓ	la‑qad raʾā min āyāti rabbihi l‑kubrā	For truly did he see, of the Signs of his Lord, the Greatest! Sura al-Najm 53:18 لَقَدْ رَأَىٰ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰٓ la-qad raʾā min āyāti rabbihi l-kubrā For truly did he see, of the Signs of his Lord, the Greatest!
(53:19)	أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱللَّٰتَ وَٱلْعُزَّىٰ	a‑fa‑raʾaytumu l‑lāta wa‑l‑ʿuzzā	Have ye seen Lat. and 'Uzza, Sura al-Najm 53:19 أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱللَّٰتَ وَٱلْعُزَّىٰ a-fa-raʾaytumu l-lāta wa-l-ʿuzzā Have ye seen Lat. and 'Uzza,
(53:20)	وَمَنَوٰةَ ٱلثَّالِثَةَ ٱلْأُخْرَىٰٓ	wa‑manāta l‑thālithata l‑ukhrā	And another, the third (goddess), Manat? Sura al-Najm 53:20 وَمَنَوٰةَ ٱلثَّالِثَةَ ٱلْأُخْرَىٰٓ wa-manāta l-thālithata l-ukhrā And another, the third (goddess), Manat?
(53:21)	أَلَكُمُ ٱلذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ ٱلْأُنثَىٰ	a‑la‑kumu l‑dhakaru wa‑lahu l‑unthā	What! for you the male sex, and for Him, the female? Sura al-Najm 53:21 أَلَكُمُ ٱلذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ ٱلْأُنثَىٰ a-la-kumu l-dhakaru wa-lahu l-unthā What! for you the male sex, and for Him, the female?
