Sura al-Qamar 54:44

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌ مُّنتَصِرٌ

am yaqūlūna naḥnu jamīʿun muntaṣirun

Or do they say: "We acting together can defend ourselves"?

Sura al-Qamar 54:45

سَيُهْزَمُ ٱلْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ ٱلدُّبُرَ

sa-yuhzamu l-jamʿu wa-yuwallūna l-dubura

Soon will their multitude be put to flight, and they will show their backs.

Sura al-Qamar 54:46

بَلِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ

bali l-sāʿatu mawʿiduhum wa-l-sāʿatu adha wa-amarru

Nay, the Hour (of Judgment) is the time promised them (for their full recompense): And that Hour will be most grievous and most bitter.

Sura al-Qamar 54:47

إِنَّ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍ وَسُعُرٍ

inna l-mujrimīna fī ḍalālin wa-suʿurin

Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad.

Sura al-Qamar 54:48

يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِى ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا۟ مَسَّ سَقَرَ

yawma yusḥabūna fī l-nāri ʿalā wujūhihim dhūqū massa saqara

The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!"

Sura al-Qamar 54:49

إِنَّا كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَٰهُ بِقَدَرٍ

innā kulla shayʾin khalaqnāhu bi-qadarin

Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure.

Sura al-Qamar 54:50

وَمَآ أَمْرُنَآ إِلَّا وَٰحِدَةٌ كَلَمْحٍۭ بِٱلْبَصَرِ

wa-mā amrunā illā wāḥidatun kalamḥin bil-baṣari

And Our Command is but a single (Act),- like the twinkling of an eye.
