Sura al-Qiyāmah 75:21

وَتَذَرُونَ ٱلْأَخِرَةَ

wa-tadharūna l-akhirata

And leave alone the Hereafter.

Sura al-Qiyāmah 75:22

وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ

wujūhun yawmaʾidhin nnāḍiratun

Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);-

Sura al-Qiyāmah 75:23

إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ

ilā rabbihā nāẓiratun

Looking towards their Lord;

Sura al-Qiyāmah 75:24

وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بَاسِرَةٌ

wa-wujūhun yawmaʾidhin bāsiratun

And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal,

Sura al-Qiyāmah 75:25

تَظُنُّ أَن يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ

taẓunnu an yufʿala bihā fāqiratun

In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them;

Sura al-Qiyāmah 75:26

كَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِىَ

kallā idhā balaghati l-tarāqiya

Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit),

Sura al-Qiyāmah 75:27

وَقِيلَ مَنْ رَاقٍ

wa-qīla man rāqin

And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?"
