Surah 77 al-Mursalāt (The Emissaries)

(77:14)    | وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ | wa‑mā adrāka mā yawmu l‑faṣli | And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out?
Sura al-Mursalāt 77:14 وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ wa-mā adrāka mā yawmu l-faṣli And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? |
| (77:15) | وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ | waylun yawmaʾidhin lil‑mukadhdhibīna | Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
Sura al-Mursalāt 77:15 وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ waylun yawmaʾidhin lil-mukadhdhibīna Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! |
| (77:16) | أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ | a‑lam nuhliki l‑awwalīna | Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)?
Sura al-Mursalāt 77:16 أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ a-lam nuhliki l-awwalīna Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? |
| (77:17) | ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ ٱلْأَخِرِينَ | thumma nutbiʿuhumu l‑akhirīna | So shall We make later (generations) follow them.

| (77:18) | كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ | ka‑dhālika nafʿalu bil‑mujrimīna | Thus do We deal with men of sin.

| (77:19) | وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ | waylun yawmaʾidhin lil‑mukadhdhibīna | Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!

| (77:20) | أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ | a‑lam nakhluqkkum min māʾin mahīnin | Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?-
