Sura al-Takwīr 81:8

وَإِذَا ٱلْمَوْءُۥدَةُ سُئِلَتْ

wa-idhā l-mawudatu suʾilat

When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned -

Sura al-Takwīr 81:9

بِأَىِّ ذَنۢبٍ قُتِلَتْ

bi-ayyi dhanbin qutilat

For what crime she was killed;

Sura al-Takwīr 81:10

وَإِذَا ٱلصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ

wa-idhā l-ṣuḥufu nushirat

When the scrolls are laid open;

Sura al-Takwīr 81:11

وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ كُشِطَتْ

wa-idhā l-samāʾu kushiṭat

When the world on High is unveiled;

Sura al-Takwīr 81:12

وَإِذَا ٱلْجَحِيمُ سُعِّرَتْ

wa-idhā l-jaḥīmu suʿʿirat

When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat;

Sura al-Takwīr 81:13

وَإِذَا ٱلْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ

wa-idhā l-jannatu uzlifat

And when the Garden is brought near;-

Sura al-Takwīr 81:14

عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّآ أَحْضَرَتْ

ʿalimat nafsun mā aḥḍarat

(Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward.
