Sura al-Zumar 39:8

وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ ضُرٌّ دَعَا رَبَّهُۥ مُنِيبًا إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلَهُۥ نِعْمَةً مِّنْهُ نَسِىَ مَا كَانَ يَدْعُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ مِن قَبْلُ وَجَعَلَ لِلَّـهِ أَندَادًا لِّيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ قُلْ تَمَتَّعْ بِكُفْرِكَ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلنَّارِ

wa-idhā massa l-insāna ḍurrun daʿā rabbahu munīban ilayhi thumma idhā khawwalahu niʿmatan minhu nasiya mā kāna yadʿū ilayhi min qablu wa-jaʿala lillāhi andādan li-yuḍilla ʿan sabīlihi qul tamattaʿ bi-kufrika qalīlan innaka min aṣḥābi l-nāri

When some trouble toucheth man, he crieth unto his Lord, turning to Him in repentance: but when He bestoweth a favour upon him as from Himself, (man) doth forget what he cried and prayed for before, and he doth set up rivals unto Allah, thus misleading others from Allah's Path. Say, "Enjoy thy blasphemy for a little while: verily thou art (one) of the Companions of the Fire!"

Sura al-Zumar 39:38

وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّـهُ قُلْ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ إِنْ أَرَادَنِىَ ٱللَّـهُ بِضُرٍّ هَلْ هُنَّ كَٰشِفَٰتُ ضُرِّهِۦٓ أَوْ أَرَادَنِى بِرَحْمَةٍ هَلْ هُنَّ مُمْسِكَٰتُ رَحْمَتِهِۦ قُلْ حَسْبِىَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْهِ يَتَوَكَّلُ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ

wa-laʾin saʾaltahum man khalaqa l-samāwāti wa-l-arḍa la-yaqūlunna allāhu qul a-fa-raʾaytum mā tadʿūna min dūni allāhi in arādaniya allāhu bi-ḍurrin hal hunna kāshifātu ḍurrihi aw arādanī bi-raḥmaṭin hal hunna mumsikātu raḥmatihi qul ḥasbiya allāhu ʿalayhi yatawakkalu l-mutawakkilūna

If indeed thou ask them who it is that created the heavens and the earth, they would be sure to say, "Allah". Say: "See ye then? the things that ye invoke besides Allah,- can they, if Allah wills some Penalty for me, remove His Penalty?- Or if He wills some Grace for me, can they keep back his Grace?" Say: "Sufficient is Allah for me! In Him trust those who put their trust."

Sura al-Zumar 39:49

فَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ ضُرٌّ دَعَانَا ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلْنَٰهُ نِعْمَةً مِّنَّا قَالَ إِنَّمَآ أُوتِيتُهُۥ عَلَىٰ عِلْمٍۭ بَلْ هِىَ فِتْنَةٌ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

fa-idhā massa l-insāna ḍurrun daʿānā thumma idhā khawwalnāhu niʿmatan minnā qalā innamā ūtītuhu ʿalā ʿilmin bal hiya fitnatun wa-lākinna aktharahum lā yaʿlamūna

Now, when trouble touches man, he cries to Us: But when We bestow a favour upon him as from Ourselves, he says, "This has been given to me because of a certain knowledge (I have)!" Nay, but this is but a trial, but most of them understand not!
