Surah 44 al-Dukhān (The Evident Smoke)

(44:49)    | ذُقْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْكَرِيمُ | dhuq innaka anta l‑ʿazīzu l‑karīmu | "Taste thou (this)! Truly wast thou mighty, full of honour!

| (44:56) | لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا ٱلْمَوْتَ إِلَّا ٱلْمَوْتَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ | lā yadhūqūna fīhā l‑mawtā illā l‑mawtata l‑ūlā wa‑waqāhum ʿadhāba l‑jaḥīmi | Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and
He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,-
Sura al-Dukhān 44:56 لَا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا ٱلْمَوْتَ إِلَّا ٱلْمَوْتَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ lā yadhūqūna fīhā l-mawtā illā l-mawtata l-ūlā wa-waqāhum ʿadhāba l-jaḥīmi Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire,- |
