Sura al-Naml 27:34

قَالَتْ إِنَّ ٱلْمُلُوكَ إِذَا دَخَلُوا۟ قَرْيَةً أَفْسَدُوهَا وَجَعَلُوٓا۟ أَعِزَّةَ أَهْلِهَآ أَذِلَّةً وَكَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ

qālat inna l-mulūka idhā dakhalū qaryatan afsadūhā wa-jaʿalū aʿizzata ahlihā adhillatan wa-ka-dhālika yafʿalūna

She said: "Kings, when they enter a country, despoil it, and make the noblest of its people its meanest thus do they behave.

Sura al-Naml 27:48

وَكَانَ فِى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ تِسْعَةُ رَهْطٍ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ

wa-kāna fī l-madīnati tisʿatu rahṭin yufsidūna fī l-arḍi wa-lā yuṣliḥūna

There were in the city nine men of a family, who made mischief in the land, and would not reform.
