Sura al-Balad 90:4

لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ فِى كَبَدٍ

la-qad khalaqnā l-insāna fī kabadin

Verily We have created man into toil and struggle.

Sura al-Balad 90:9

وَلِسَانًا وَشَفَتَيْنِ

wa-lisānan wa-shafatayni

And a tongue, and a pair of lips?-

Sura al-Balad 90:10

وَهَدَيْنَٰهُ ٱلنَّجْدَيْنِ

wa-hadaynāhu l-najdayni

And shown him the two highways?

Sura al-Balad 90:14

أَوْ إِطْعَٰمٌ فِى يَوْمٍ ذِى مَسْغَبَةٍ

aw iṭʿāmun fī yawmin dhī masghabatin

Or the giving of food in a day of privation
