Sura Luqmān 31:18

وَلَا تُصَعِّرْ خَدَّكَ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَمْشِ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَرَحًا إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُورٍ

wa-lā tuṣaʿʿir khaddaka lil-nāsi wa-lā tamshi fī l-arḍi maraḥan inna allāha lā yuḥibbu kulla mukhtālin fakhūrin

"And swell not thy cheek (for pride) at men, nor walk in insolence through the earth; for Allah loveth not any arrogant boaster.

Sura Luqmān 31:32

وَإِذَا غَشِيَهُم مَّوْجٌ كَٱلظُّلَلِ دَعَوُا۟ ٱللَّـهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّىٰهُمْ إِلَى ٱلْبَرِّ فَمِنْهُم مُّقْتَصِدٌ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِلَّا كُلُّ خَتَّارٍ كَفُورٍ

wa-idhā ghashiyahum mawjun ka-l-ẓulali daʿawu allāha mukhliṣīna lahu l-dīna fa-lammā najjahum ilā l-barri fa-minhum muqtaṣidun wa-mā yajḥadu bi-āyātinā illā kullu khattārin kafūrin

When a wave covers them like the canopy (of clouds), they call to Allah, offering Him sincere devotion. But when He has delivered them safely to land, there are among them those that halt between (right and wrong). But none reject Our Signs except only a perfidious ungrateful (wretch)!
