(2:158) | إِنَّ ٱلصَّفَا وَٱلْمَرْوَةَ مِن شَعَآئِرِ ٱللَّـهِ فَمَنْ حَجَّ ٱلْبَيْتَ أَوِ ٱعْتَمَرَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ أَن يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِمَا وَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ شَاكِرٌ عَلِيمٌ | inna l‑ṣafā wa‑l‑marwata min shaʿāʾiri allāhi fa‑man ḥajja l‑bayta awi ʿtamara fa‑lā junāḥa ʿalayhi an yaṭṭawwafa bihimā wa‑man taṭawwaʿa khayran fa‑inna allāha shākirun ʿalīmun | Behold! Safa and Marwa are among the Symbols of Allah. So if
those who visit the House in the Season or at other times, should compass
them round, it is no sin in them. And if any one obeyeth his own impulse to
good,- be sure that Allah is He Who recogniseth and knoweth.

(2:184) | أَيَّامًا مَّعْدُودَٰتٍ فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِّنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ وَعَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُۥ فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مِسْكِينٍ فَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّهُۥ وَأَن تَصُومُوا۟ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ | ayyāman maʿdūdātin fa‑man kāna minkum marīḍan aw ʿalā safarin faʿiddatun min ayyāmin ukhara wa‑ʿalā lladhīna yuṭīqūnahu fidyatun ṭaʿāmu miskīnin fa‑man taṭawwaʿa khayran fa‑huwa khayrun lahu wa‑an taṣūmū khayrun la‑kum in kuntum taʿlamūna | (Fasting) for a fixed number of days; but if any of you is
ill, or on a journey, the prescribed number (Should be made up) from days
later. For those who can do it (With hardship), is a ransom, the feeding of
one that is indigent. But he that will give more, of his own free will,- it
is better for him. And it is better for you that ye fast, if ye only knew.
