Sura al-Tawbah 9:98

وَمِنَ ٱلْأَعْرَابِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنفِقُ مَغْرَمًا وَيَتَرَبَّصُ بِكُمُ ٱلدَّوَآئِرَ عَلَيْهِمْ دَآئِرَةُ ٱلسَّوْءِ وَٱللَّـهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ

wa-mina l-aʿrābi man yattakhidhu mā yunfiqu maghraman wa-yatarabbaṣu bikumu l-dawāʾira ʿalayhim dāʾiratu l-sawʾi wallāhu samīʿun ʿalīmun

Some of the desert Arabs look upon their payments as a fine, and watch for disasters for you: on them be the disaster of evil: for Allah is He That heareth and knoweth (all things).

Sura al-Naḥl 16:60

لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْأَخِرَةِ مَثَلُ ٱلسَّوْءِ وَلِلَّەِ ٱلْمَثَلُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

li-lladhīna lā yuʾminūna bil-akhirati mathalu l-sawʾi wa-lillahi l-mathalu l-aʿlā wa-huwa l-ʿazīzu l-ḥakīmu

To those who believe not in the Hereafter, applies the similitude of evil: to Allah applies the highest similitude: for He is the Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom.

Sura Maryam 19:28

يَٰٓأُخْتَ هَٰرُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ ٱمْرَأَ سَوْءٍ وَمَا كَانَتْ أُمُّكِ بَغِيًّا

yā-ukhta hārūna mā kāna abūki imraʾa sawʾin wa-mā kānat ummuki baghiyyan

"O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!"

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:74

وَلُوطًا ءَاتَيْنَٰهُ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِى كَانَت تَّعْمَلُ ٱلْخَبَٰٓئِثَ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَٰسِقِينَ

wa-lūṭan ātaynāhu ḥukman wa-ʿilman wa-najjaynāhu mina l-qaryati allatī kānat ttaʿmalu l-khabāʾitha innahum kānū qawma sawʾin fāsiqīna

And to Lut, too, We gave Judgment and Knowledge, and We saved him from the town which practised abominations: truly they were a people given to Evil, a rebellious people.

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:77

وَنَصَرْنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَأَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

wa-naṣarnāhu mina l-qawmi lladhīna kadhdhabū bi-āyātinā innahum kānū qawma sawʾin fa-aghraqnāhum ajmaʿīna

We helped him against people who rejected Our Signs: truly they were a people given to Evil: so We drowned them (in the Flood) all together.

Sura al-Furqān 25:40

وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَى ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ ٱلسَّوْءِ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا۟ يَرَوْنَهَا بَلْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُورًا

wa-la-qad ātaw ʿalā l-qaryati allatī umṭirat maṭara l-sawʾi a-fa-lam yakūnū yarawnahā bal kānū lā yarjūna nushūran

And the (Unbelievers) must indeed have passed by the town on which was rained a shower of evil: did they not then see it (with their own eyes)? But they fear not the Resurrection.

Sura al-Fatḥ 48:6

وَيُعَذِّبَ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقَٰتِ وَٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ وَٱلْمُشْرِكَٰتِ ٱلظَّآنِّينَ بِٱللَّـهِ ظَنَّ ٱلسَّوْءِ عَلَيْهِمْ دَآئِرَةُ ٱلسَّوْءِ وَغَضِبَ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَعَنَهُمْ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَهَنَّمَ وَسَآءَتْ مَصِيرًا

wa-yuʿadhdhiba l-munāfiqīna wa-l-munāfiqāti wa-l-mushrikīna wa-l-mushrikāti l-ẓānnīna billāhi ẓanna l-sawʾi ʿalayhim dāʾiratu l-sawʾi wa-ghaḍiba allāhu ʿalayhim wa-laʿanahum wa-aʿadda lahum jahannama wa-sāʾat maṣīran

And that He may punish the Hypocrites, men and women, and the Polytheists men and women, who imagine an evil opinion of Allah. On them is a round of Evil: the Wrath of Allah is on them: He has cursed them and got Hell ready for them: and evil is it for a destination.

Sura al-Fatḥ 48:12

بَلْ ظَنَنتُمْ أَن لَّن يَنقَلِبَ ٱلرَّسُولُ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِيهِمْ أَبَدًا وَزُيِّنَ ذَٰلِكَ فِى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَظَنَنتُمْ ظَنَّ ٱلسَّوْءِ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْمًۢا بُورًا

bal ẓanantum an lan yanqaliba l-rasūlu wa-l-muʾminūna ila ahlīhim abadan wa-zuyyina dhālika fī qulūbikum wa-ẓanantum ẓanna l-sawʾi wa-kuntum qawman būran

"Nay, ye thought that the Messenger and the Believers would never return to their families; this seemed pleasing in your hearts, and ye conceived an evil thought, for ye are a people lost (in wickedness)."
