Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:2

مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِم مُّحْدَثٍ إِلَّا ٱسْتَمَعُوهُ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ

mā yaʾtīhim min dhikrin min rrabbihim muḥdathin illā istamaʿūhu wa-hum yalʿabūna

Never comes (aught) to them of a renewed Message from their Lord, but they listen to it as in jest,-

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:5

وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ

wa-mā yaʾtīhim min dhikrin mina l-raḥmāni muḥdathin illā kānū ʿanhu muʿriḍīna

But there comes not to them a newly-revealed Message from (Allah) Most Gracious, but they turn away therefrom.
