Surah 13 al-Raʿd (The Thunder)

(13:32)	وَلَقَدِ ٱسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عِقَابِ	wa‑la‑qadi ustuhziʾa birusulin min qablika fa‑amlaytu li‑lladhīna kafarū thumma akhadhtuhum fa‑kayfa kāna ʿiqābi	Mocked were (many) messengers before thee: but I granted respite to the unbelievers, and finally I punished them: Then how (terrible) was my requital!
