Surah 21 al-Anbiyāʾ (The Prophets)

(21:9)	ثُمَّ صَدَقْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْوَعْدَ فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُمْ وَمَن نَّشَآءُ وَأَهْلَكْنَا ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ	thumma ṣadaqnāhumu l‑waʿda fa‑anjaynāhum wa‑man nashāʾu wa‑ahlaknā l‑musrifīna	In the end We fulfilled to them Our Promise, and We saved them and those whom We pleased, but We destroyed those who transgressed beyond bounds.
