Sura al-Māʾidah 5:75

مَّا ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ مَرْيَمَ إِلَّا رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ ٱلرُّسُلُ وَأُمُّهُۥ صِدِّيقَةٌ كَانَا يَأْكُلَانِ ٱلطَّعَامَ ٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ نُبَيِّنُ لَهُمُ ٱلْأَيَٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱنظُرْ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ

mā l-masīḥu ibnu maryama illā rasūlun qad khalat min qablihi l-rusulu wa-ummuhu ṣiddīqatun kānā yakulāni l-ṭaʿāma inẓur kayfa nubayyinu lahumu l-ayāti thumma inẓur annā yuʾfakūna

Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!

Sura al-Anʿām 6:95

إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ فَالِقُ ٱلْحَبِّ وَٱلنَّوَىٰ يُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَيِّتِ وَمُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتِ مِنَ ٱلْحَىِّ ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ

inna allāha fāliqu l-ḥabbi wa-l-nawa yukhriju l-ḥayya mina l-mayyiti wa-mukhriju l-mayyiti mina l-ḥayyi dhālikumu allāhu fa-annā tuʾfakūna

It is Allah Who causeth the seed-grain and the date-stone to split and sprout. He causeth the living to issue from the dead, and He is the one to cause the dead to issue from the living. That is Allah: then how are ye deluded away from the truth?

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:117

وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ

wa-awḥaynā ilā mūsā an alqi ʿaṣāka fa-idhā hiya talqafu mā yafikūna

We put it into Moses's mind by inspiration: "Throw (now) thy rod":and behold! it swallows up straight away all the falsehoods which they fake!

Sura al-Tawbah 9:30

وَقَالَتِ ٱلْيَهُودُ عُزَيْرٌ ٱبْنُ ٱللَّـهِ وَقَالَتِ ٱلنَّصَٰرَى ٱلْمَسِيحُ ٱبْنُ ٱللَّـهِ ذَٰلِكَ قَوْلُهُم بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ يُضَٰهِـُٔونَ قَوْلَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن قَبْلُ قَٰتَلَهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ

wa-qālati l-yahūdu ʿuzayrun ibnu allāhi wa-qālati al-naṣāra l-masīḥu ibnu allāhi dhālika qawluhum bi-afwāhihim yuḍāhiʾūna qawla lladhīna kafarū min qablu qātalahumu allāhu annā yuʾfakūna

The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!

Sura Yūnus 10:34

قُلْ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ قُلِ ٱللَّـهُ يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ

qul hal min shurakāʾikum man yabdaʾu l-khalqa thumma yuʿīduhu quli allāhu yabdaʾu l-khalqa thumma yuʿīduhu fa-annā tuʾfakūna

Say: "Of your 'partners', can any originate creation and repeat it?" Say: "It is Allah Who originates creation and repeats it: then how are ye deluded away (from the truth)?"

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:45

فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ

fa-alqā mūsā ʿaṣāhu fa-idhā hiya talqafu mā yafikūna

Then Moses threw his rod, when, behold, it straightway swallows up all the falsehoods which they fake!

Sura al-ʿAnkabūt 29:61

وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّـهُ فَأَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ

wa-laʾin saʾaltahum man khalaqa l-samāwāti wa-l-arḍa wa-sakhkhara l-shamsa wa-l-qamara la-yaqūlunna allāhu fa-annā yuʾfakūna

If indeed thou ask them who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law), they will certainly reply, "Allah". How are they then deluded away (from the truth)?

Sura al-Rūm 30:55

وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يُقْسِمُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ مَا لَبِثُوا۟ غَيْرَ سَاعَةٍ كَذَٰلِكَ كَانُوا۟ يُؤْفَكُونَ

wa-yawma taqūmu l-sāʿatu yuqsimu l-mujrimūna mā labithū ghayra sāʿatin ka-dhālika kānū yuʾfakūna

On the Day that the Hour (of Reckoning) will be established, the transgressors will swear that they tarried not but an hour: thus were they used to being deluded!

Sura al-Faṭīr 35:3

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّـهِ عَلَيْكُمْ هَلْ مِنْ خَٰلِقٍ غَيْرُ ٱللَّـهِ يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ

yā-ayyuhā l-nāsu idhkurū niʿmata allāhi ʿalaykum hal min khāliqin ghayru allāhi yarzuqukum mina l-samāʾi wa-l-arḍi lā ilāha illā huwa fa-annā tuʾfakūna

O men! Call to mind the grace of Allah unto you! is there a creator, other than Allah, to give you sustenance from heaven or earth? There is no god but He: how then are ye deluded away from the Truth?

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:62

ذَٰلِكُمُ ٱللَّـهُ رَبُّكُمْ خَٰلِقُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ لَّآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ

dhālikumu allāhu rabbukum khāliqu kulli shayʾin lā ilāha illā huwa fa-annā tuʾfakūna

Such is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of all things, there is no god but He: Then how ye are deluded away from the Truth!

Sura al-Zukhruf 43:87

وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّـهُ فَأَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ

wa-laʾin saʾaltahum man khalaqahum la-yaqūlunna allāhu fa-annā yuʾfakūna

If thou ask them, who created them, they will certainly say, Allah: How then are they deluded away (from the Truth)?

Sura al-Munāfiqūn 63:4

وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ تُعْجِبُكَ أَجْسَامُهُمْ وَإِن يَقُولُوا۟ تَسْمَعْ لِقَوْلِهِمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ خُشُبٌ مُّسَنَّدَةٌ يَحْسَبُونَ كُلَّ صَيْحَةٍ عَلَيْهِمْ هُمُ ٱلْعَدُوُّ فَٱحْذَرْهُمْ قَٰتَلَهُمُ ٱللَّـهُ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ

wa-idhā raʾaytahum tuʿjibuka ajsāmuhum wa-in yaqūlū tasmaʿ liqawlihim ka-annahum khushubun musannadatun yaḥsabūna kulla ṣayḥatin ʿalayhim humu l-ʿadūwu faḥdharhum qātalahumu allāhu annā yuʾfakūna

When thou lookest at them, their exteriors please thee; and when they speak, thou listenest to their words. They are as (worthless as hollow) pieces of timber propped up, (unable to stand on their own). They think that every cry is against them. They are the enemies; so beware of them. The curse of Allah be on them! How are they deluded (away from the Truth)!
