Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:174)

Those who conceal Allah's revelations in the Book, and purchase for them a miserable profit,- they swallow into themselves naught but Fire; Allah will not address them on the Day of Resurrection. Nor purify them: Grievous will be their penalty.
(2:275)

ٱلَّذِينَ  يَأْكُلُونَ  ٱلرِّبَوٰا۟  لَا  يَقُومُونَ  إِلَّا  كَمَا  يَقُومُ  ٱلَّذِى  يَتَخَبَّطُهُ  ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ  مِنَ  ٱلْمَسِّ  ذَٰلِكَ  بِأَنَّهُمْ  قَالُوٓا۟  إِنَّمَا  ٱلْبَيْعُ  مِثْلُ  ٱلرِّبَوٰا۟  وَأَحَلَّ  ٱللَّـهُ  ٱلْبَيْعَ  وَحَرَّمَ  ٱلرِّبَوٰا۟  فَمَن  جَآءَهُۥ  مَوْعِظَةٌ  مِّن  رَّبِّهِۦ  فَٱنتَهَىٰ  فَلَهُۥ  مَا  سَلَفَ  وَأَمْرُهُۥٓ  إِلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  وَمَنْ  عَادَ  فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  أَصْحَٰبُ  ٱلنَّارِ  هُمْ  فِيهَا  خَٰلِدُونَ lladhīna yaʾkulūna l‑ribā yaqūmūna illā ka‑mā yaqūmu alladhī yatakhabbaṭuhu l‑shayṭānu mina l‑massi dhālika bi‑annahum qālū innamā l‑bayʿu mithlu l‑ribā wa‑aḥalla allāhu l‑bayʿa wa‑ḥarrama l‑ribā fa‑man jāʾahu mawʿiẓatun min rabbihi fa‑antaha fa‑lahu salafa wa‑amruhu ilā allāhi wa‑man ʿāda fa‑ūlāʾika aṣḥābu l‑nāri hum fīhā khālidūna
Those who devour usury will not stand except as stand one whom the Evil one by his touch Hath driven to madness. That is because they say: "Trade is like usury," but Allah hath permitted trade and forbidden usury. Those who after receiving direction from their Lord, desist, shall be pardoned for the past; their case is for Allah (to judge); but those who repeat (The offence) are companions of the Fire: They will abide therein (for ever).

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)
(3:183)

ٱلَّذِينَ  قَالُوٓا۟  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  عَهِدَ  إِلَيْنَآ  أَلَّا  نُؤْمِنَ  لِرَسُولٍ  حَتَّىٰ  يَأْتِيَنَا  بِقُرْبَانٍ  تَأْكُلُهُ  ٱلنَّارُ  قُلْ  قَدْ  جَآءَكُمْ  رُسُلٌ  مِّن  قَبْلِى  بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ  وَبِٱلَّذِى  قُلْتُمْ  فَلِمَ  قَتَلْتُمُوهُمْ  إِن  كُنتُمْ  صَٰدِقِينَ lladhīna qālū inna allāha ʿahida ilaynā allā numina lirasūlin ḥattā yaʾtiyanā bi‑qurbānin takuluhu l‑nāru qul qad jāʾakum rusulun min qablī bil‑bayyināti wa‑billadhī qultum falima qataltumūhum in kuntum ṣādiqīna
They (also) said: "Allah took our promise not to believe in an messenger unless He showed us a sacrifice consumed by Fire (From heaven)." Say: "There came to you messengers before me, with clear Signs and even with what ye ask for: why then did ye slay them, if ye speak the truth?"

Surah 4 al-Nisāʾ (The Women)
(4:6)

Make trial of orphans until they reach the age of marriage; if then ye find sound judgment in them, release their property to them; but consume it not wastefully, nor in haste against their growing up. If the guardian is well-off, Let him claim no remuneration, but if he is poor, let him have for himself what is just and reasonable. When ye release their property to them, take witnesses in their presence: But all-sufficient is Allah in taking account.
(4:10)

Those who unjustly eat up the property of orphans, eat up a Fire into their own bodies: They will soon be enduring a Blazing Fire!

(5:3)

Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked the name of other than Allah; that which hath been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which hath been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless ye are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
(5:66)

If only they had stood fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that was sent to them from their Lord, they would have enjoyed happiness from every side. There is from among them a party on the right course: but many of them follow a course that is evil.
(5:75)

Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!

The likeness of the life of the present is as the rain which We send down from the skies: by its mingling arises the produce of the earth- which provides food for men and animals: (It grows) till the earth is clad with its golden ornaments and is decked out (in beauty): the people to whom it belongs think they have all powers of disposal over it: There reaches it Our command by night or by day, and We make it like a harvest clean-mown, as if it had not flourished only the day before! thus do We explain the Signs in detail for those who reflect.

In the result, they both ate of the tree, and so their nakedness appeared to them: they began to sew together, for their covering, leaves from the Garden: thus did Adam disobey his Lord, and allow himself to be seduced.

Surah 21 al-Anbiyāʾ (The Prophets)
(21:8)

Nor did We give them bodies that ate no food, nor were they exempt from death.

Surah 23 al-Muʾminūn (The Believers)
(23:33)

وَقَالَ  ٱلْمَلَأُ  مِن  قَوْمِهِ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  وَكَذَّبُوا۟  بِلِقَآءِ  ٱلْأَخِرَةِ  وَأَتْرَفْنَٰهُمْ  فِى  ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ  ٱلدُّنْيَا  مَا  هَٰذَآ  إِلَّا  بَشَرٌ  مِّثْلُكُمْ  يَأْكُلُ  مِمَّا  تَأْكُلُونَ  مِنْهُ  وَيَشْرَبُ  مِمَّا  تَشْرَبُونَ wa‑qāla l‑malaʾu min qawmihi lladhīna kafarū wa‑kadhdhabū bi‑liqāʾi l‑akhirati wa‑atrafnāhum l‑ḥayāti l‑dunyā hādhā illā basharun mithlukum yakulu mimmā taʾkulūna minhu wa‑yashrabu mimmā tashrabūna
And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and on whom We had bestowed the good things of this life, said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: he eats of that of which ye eat, and drinks of what ye drink.

Surah 25 al-Furqān (The Criterion)
(25:7)

And they say: "What sort of a messenger is this, who eats food, and walks through the streets? Why has not an angel been sent down to him to give admonition with him?
(25:8)

أَوْ  يُلْقَىٰٓ  إِلَيْهِ  كَنزٌ  أَوْ  تَكُونُ  لَهُۥ  جَنَّةٌ  يَأْكُلُ  مِنْهَا  وَقَالَ  ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ  إِن  تَتَّبِعُونَ  إِلَّا  رَجُلًا  مَّسْحُورًا aw yulqā ilayhi kanzun aw takūnu lahu jannatun yakulu minhā wa‑qāla l‑ẓālimūna in tattabiʿūna illā rajulan masḥūran
"Or (Why) has not a treasure been bestowed on him, or why has he (not) a garden for enjoyment?" The wicked say: "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched."
(25:20)

And the messengers whom We sent before thee were all (men) who ate food and walked through the streets: We have made some of you as a trial for others: will ye have patience? for Allah is One Who sees (all things).

Surah 32 al-Sajdah (The Adoration)
(32:27)

أَوَلَمْ  يَرَوْا۟  أَنَّا  نَسُوقُ  ٱلْمَآءَ  إِلَى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  ٱلْجُرُزِ  فَنُخْرِجُ  بِهِۦ  زَرْعًا  تَأْكُلُ  مِنْهُ  أَنْعَٰمُهُمْ  وَأَنفُسُهُمْ  أَفَلَا  يُبْصِرُونَ a‑wa‑lam yaraw annā nasūqu l‑māa ilā l‑arḍi l‑juruzi fa‑nukhriju bihi zarʿan taʾkulu minhu anʿāmuhum wa‑anfusuhum a‑fa‑lā yubṣirūna
And do they not see that We do drive rain to parched soil (bare of herbage), and produce therewith crops, providing food for their cattle and themselves? Have they not the vision?

Surah 34 Sabaʾ (Sheba)
(34:14)

فَلَمَّا  قَضَيْنَا  عَلَيْهِ  ٱلْمَوْتَ  مَا  دَلَّهُمْ  عَلَىٰ  مَوْتِهِۦٓ  إِلَّا  دَآبَّةُ  ٱلْأَرْضِ  تَأْكُلُ  مِنسَأَتَهُۥ  فَلَمَّا  خَرَّ  تَبَيَّنَتِ  ٱلْجِنُّ  أَن  لَّوْ  كَانُوا۟  يَعْلَمُونَ  ٱلْغَيْبَ  مَا  لَبِثُوا۟  فِى  ٱلْعَذَابِ  ٱلْمُهِينِ fa‑lammā qaḍaynā ʿalayhi l‑mawtā dallahum ʿalā mawtihi illā dābbatu l‑arḍi taʾkulu minsaʾatahu fa‑lammā kharra tabayyanati l‑jinnu an law kānū yaʿlamūna l‑ghayba labithū l‑ʿadhābi l‑muhīni
Then, when We decreed (Solomon's) death, nothing showed them his death except a little worm of the earth, which kept (slowly) gnawing away at his staff: so when he fell down, the Jinns saw plainly that if they had known the unseen, they would not have tarried in the humiliating Penalty (of their Task).

Surah 36 Yā Sin (Ya Sin)
(36:33)

A Sign for them is the earth that is dead: We do give it life, and produce grain therefrom, of which ye do eat.
(36:35)

لِيَأْكُلُوا۟  مِن  ثَمَرِهِۦ  وَمَا  عَمِلَتْهُ  أَيْدِيهِمْ  أَفَلَا  يَشْكُرُونَ li‑yaʾkulū min thamarihi wa‑mā ʿamilathu aydīhim a‑fa‑lā yashkurūna
That they may enjoy the fruits of this (artistry): It was not their hands that made this: will they not then give thanks?
(36:72)

And that We have subjected them to their (use)? of them some do carry them and some they eat:

Surah 47 Muḥammad (Muhammad)
(47:12)

إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  يُدْخِلُ  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  وَعَمِلُوا۟  ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ  جَنَّٰتٍ  تَجْرِى  مِن  تَحْتِهَا  ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ  وَٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  يَتَمَتَّعُونَ  وَيَأْكُلُونَ  كَمَا  تَأْكُلُ  ٱلْأَنْعَٰمُ  وَٱلنَّارُ  مَثْوًى  لَّهُمْ inna allāha yudkhilu lladhīna āmanū wa‑ʿamilū l‑ṣāliḥāti jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l‑anhāru wa‑lladhīna kafarū yatamattaʿūna wa‑yakulūna ka‑mā taʾkulu l‑anʿāmu wa‑l‑nāru mathwan lahum
Verily Allah will admit those who believe and do righteous deeds, to Gardens beneath which rivers flow; while those who reject Allah will enjoy (this world) and eat as cattle eat; and the Fire will be their abode.

Surah 49 al-Ḥujurāt (The Chambers)
(49:12)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  ٱجْتَنِبُوا۟  كَثِيرًا  مِّنَ  ٱلظَّنِّ  إِنَّ  بَعْضَ  ٱلظَّنِّ  إِثْمٌ  وَلَا  تَجَسَّسُوا۟  وَلَا  يَغْتَب  بَّعْضُكُم  بَعْضًا  أَيُحِبُّ  أَحَدُكُمْ  أَن  يَأْكُلَ  لَحْمَ  أَخِيهِ  مَيْتًا  فَكَرِهْتُمُوهُ  وَٱتَّقُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  تَوَّابٌ  رَّحِيمٌ yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū ijtanibū kathīran mina l‑ẓanni inna baʿḍa l‑ẓanni ithmun wa‑lā tajassasū wa‑lā yaghtab baʿḍukum baʿḍan a‑yuḥibbu aḥadukum an yakula laḥma akhīhi maytan fa‑karihtumūhu wa‑ittaqū allāha inna allāha tawwābun raḥīmun
O ye who believe! Avoid suspicion as much (as possible): for suspicion in some cases is a sin: And spy not on each other behind their backs. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Nay, ye would abhor it...But fear Allah: For Allah is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.

Surah 69 al-Ḥāqqah (The Inevitable)
(69:37)

"Which none do eat but those in sin."
