Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:33)

قَالَ  يَٰٓـَٔادَمُ  أَنۢبِئْهُم  بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْ  فَلَمَّآ  أَنۢبَأَهُم  بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْ  قَالَ  أَلَمْ  أَقُل  لَّكُمْ  إِنِّىٓ  أَعْلَمُ  غَيْبَ  ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ  وَٱلْأَرْضِ  وَأَعْلَمُ  مَا  تُبْدُونَ  وَمَا  كُنتُمْ  تَكْتُمُونَ qalā yā‑ʾādamu anbihum bi‑asmāʾihim fa‑lammā anbāʾahum bi‑asmāʾihim qalā a‑lam aqul la‑kum innī aʿlamu ghayba l‑samāwāti wa‑l‑arḍi wa‑iʿlamū tubdūna wa‑mā kuntum taktumūna
He said: "O Adam! Tell them their names." When he had told them, Allah said: "Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of heaven and earth, and I know what ye reveal and what ye conceal?"
(2:271)

إِن  تُبْدُوا۟  ٱلصَّدَقَٰتِ  فَنِعِمَّا  هِىَ  وَإِن  تُخْفُوهَا  وَتُؤْتُوهَا  ٱلْفُقَرَآءَ  فَهُوَ  خَيْرٌ  لَّكُمْ  وَيُكَفِّرُ  عَنكُم  مِّن  سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ  وَٱللَّـهُ  بِمَا  تَعْمَلُونَ  خَبِيرٌ in tubdū l‑ṣadaqāti fa‑niʿimmā hiya wa‑in tukhfūhā wa‑tuʾtūhā l‑fuqarāʾa fa‑huwa khayrun la‑kum wa‑yukaffiru ʿankum min sayyiʾātikum wallāhu bi‑mā taʿmalūna khabīrun
If ye disclose (acts of) charity, even so it is well, but if ye conceal them, and make them reach those (really) in need, that is best for you: It will remove from you some of your (stains of) evil. And Allah is well acquainted with what ye do.
(2:284)

لِلَّـهِ  مَا  فِى  ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ  وَمَا  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  وَإِن  تُبْدُوا۟  مَا  فِىٓ  أَنفُسِكُمْ  أَوْ  تُخْفُوهُ  يُحَاسِبْكُم  بِهِ  ٱللَّـهُ  فَيَغْفِرُ  لِمَن  يَشَآءُ  وَيُعَذِّبُ  مَن  يَشَآءُ  وَٱللَّـهُ  عَلَىٰ  كُلِّ  شَىْءٍ  قَدِيرٌ lillāhi l‑samāwāti wa‑mā l‑arḍi wa‑in tubdū anfusikum aw tukhfūhu yuḥāsibkum bihi allāhu fayaghfiru li‑man yashāʾu wa‑yuʿadhdhibu man yashāʾu wallāhu ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīrun
To Allah belongeth all that is in the heavens and on earth. Whether ye show what is in your minds or conceal it, Allah Calleth you to account for it. He forgiveth whom He pleaseth, and punisheth whom He pleaseth, for Allah hath power over all things.

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)
(3:29)

قُلْ  إِن  تُخْفُوا۟  مَا  فِى  صُدُورِكُمْ  أَوْ  تُبْدُوهُ  يَعْلَمْهُ  ٱللَّـهُ  وَيَعْلَمُ  مَا  فِى  ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ  وَمَا  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  وَٱللَّـهُ  عَلَىٰ  كُلِّ  شَىْءٍ  قَدِيرٌ qul in tukhfū ṣudūrikum aw tubdūhu yaʿlamhu allāhu wayaʿlamu l‑samāwāti wa‑mā l‑arḍi wallāhu ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīrun
Say: "Whether ye hide what is in your hearts or reveal it, Allah knows it all: He knows what is in the heavens, and what is on earth. And Allah has power over all things.
(3:118)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  لَا  تَتَّخِذُوا۟  بِطَانَةً  مِّن  دُونِكُمْ  لَا  يَأْلُونَكُمْ  خَبَالًا  وَدُّوا۟  مَا  عَنِتُّمْ  قَدْ  بَدَتِ  ٱلْبَغْضَآءُ  مِنْ  أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ  وَمَا  تُخْفِى  صُدُورُهُمْ  أَكْبَرُ  قَدْ  بَيَّنَّا  لَكُمُ  ٱلْأَيَٰتِ  إِن  كُنتُمْ  تَعْقِلُونَ yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū tattakhidhū biṭānatan min dūnikum yalūnakum khabālan waddū ʿanittum qad badati l‑baghḍāʾu min afwāhihim wa‑mā tukhfī ṣudūruhum akbaru qad bayyannā lakumu l‑ayāti in kuntum taʿqilūna
O ye who believe! Take not into your intimacy those outside your ranks: They will not fail to corrupt you. They only desire your ruin: Rank hatred has already appeared from their mouths: What their hearts conceal is far worse. We have made plain to you the Signs, if ye have wisdom.
(3:154)

After (the excitement) of the distress, He sent down calm on a band of you overcome with slumber, while another band was stirred to anxiety by their own feelings, Moved by wrong suspicions of Allah-suspicions due to ignorance. They said: "What affair is this of ours?" Say thou: "Indeed, this affair is wholly Allah's." They hide in their minds what they dare not reveal to thee. They say (to themselves): "If we had had anything to do with this affair, We should not have been in the slaughter here." Say: "Even if you had remained in your homes, those for whom death was decreed would certainly have gone forth to the place of their death"; but (all this was) that Allah might test what is in your breasts and purge what is in your hearts. For Allah knoweth well the secrets of your hearts.

Surah 4 al-Nisāʾ (The Women)
(4:149)

إِن  تُبْدُوا۟  خَيْرًا  أَوْ  تُخْفُوهُ  أَوْ  تَعْفُوا۟  عَن  سُوٓءٍ  فَإِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  كَانَ  عَفُوًّا  قَدِيرًا in tubdū khayran aw tukhfūhu aw taʿfū ʿan sūʾin fa‑inna allāha kāna ʿafūwan qadīran
Whether ye publish a good deed or conceal it or cover evil with pardon, verily Allah doth blot out (sins) and hath power (in the judgment of values).

Surah 5 al-Māʾidah (The Table Spread)
(5:99)

The Messenger's duty is but to proclaim (the message). But Allah knoweth all that ye reveal and ye conceal.
(5:101)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  لَا  تَسْـَٔلُوا۟  عَنْ  أَشْيَآءَ  إِن  تُبْدَ  لَكُمْ  تَسُؤْكُمْ  وَإِن  تَسْـَٔلُوا۟  عَنْهَا  حِينَ  يُنَزَّلُ  ٱلْقُرْءَانُ  تُبْدَ  لَكُمْ  عَفَا  ٱللَّـهُ  عَنْهَا  وَٱللَّـهُ  غَفُورٌ  حَلِيمٌ yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū tasʾalū ʿan ashyāʾa in tubda la‑kum tasukum wa‑in tasʾalū ʿanhā ḥīna yunazzalu l‑qurʾānu tubda la‑kum ʿafā allāhu ʿanhā wallāhu ghafūrun ḥalīmun
O ye who believe! Ask not questions about things which, if made plain to you, may cause you trouble. But if ye ask about things when the Qur'an is being revealed, they will be made plain to you, Allah will forgive those: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Forbearing.

Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)
(6:28)

Yea, in their own (eyes) will become manifest what before they concealed. But if they were returned, they would certainly relapse to the things they were forbidden, for they are indeed liars.
(6:91)

وَمَا  قَدَرُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  حَقَّ  قَدْرِهِۦٓ  إِذْ  قَالُوا۟  مَآ  أَنزَلَ  ٱللَّـهُ  عَلَىٰ  بَشَرٍ  مِّن  شَىْءٍ  قُلْ  مَنْ  أَنزَلَ  ٱلْكِتَٰبَ  ٱلَّذِى  جَآءَ  بِهِۦ  مُوسَىٰ  نُورًا  وَهُدًى  لِّلنَّاسِ  تَجْعَلُونَهُۥ  قَرَاطِيسَ  تُبْدُونَهَا  وَتُخْفُونَ  كَثِيرًا  وَعُلِّمْتُم  مَّا  لَمْ  تَعْلَمُوٓا۟  أَنتُمْ  وَلَآ  ءَابَآؤُكُمْ  قُلِ  ٱللَّـهُ  ثُمَّ  ذَرْهُمْ  فِى  خَوْضِهِمْ  يَلْعَبُونَ wa‑mā qadarū allāha ḥaqqa qadrihi idh qālū anzala allāhu ʿalā basharin min shayʾin qul man anzala l‑kitāba alladhī jāa bihi mūsā nūran wa‑hudan lil‑nāsi tajʿalūnahu qarāṭīsa tubdūnahā wa‑tukhfūna kathīran waʿullimtum lam taʿlamū antum wa‑lā ābāʾukum quli allāhu thumma dharhum khawḍihim yalʿabūna
No just estimate of Allah do they make when they say: "Nothing doth Allah send down to man (by way of revelation)" Say: "Who then sent down the Book which Moses brought?- a light and guidance to man: But ye make it into (separate) sheets for show, while ye conceal much (of its contents): therein were ye taught that which ye knew not- neither ye nor your fathers." Say: "Allah (sent it down)": Then leave them to plunge in vain discourse and trifling.

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:20)

فَوَسْوَسَ  لَهُمَا  ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ  لِيُبْدِىَ  لَهُمَا  مَا  وُۥرِىَ  عَنْهُمَا  مِن  سَوْءَٰتِهِمَا  وَقَالَ  مَا  نَهَىٰكُمَا  رَبُّكُمَا  عَنْ  هَٰذِهِ  ٱلشَّجَرَةِ  إِلَّآ  أَن  تَكُونَا  مَلَكَيْنِ  أَوْ  تَكُونَا  مِنَ  ٱلْخَٰلِدِينَ fa‑waswasa lahumā l‑shayṭānu li‑yubdiya lahumā wuriya ʿanhumā min sawʾātihimā wa‑qāla nahakumā rabbukumā ʿan hādhihi l‑shajarati illā an takūnā malakayni aw takūnā mina l‑khālidīna
Then began Satan to whisper suggestions to them, bringing openly before their minds all their shame that was hidden from them (before): he said: "Your Lord only forbade you this tree, lest ye should become angels or such beings as live for ever."
(7:22)

فَدَلَّىٰهُمَا  بِغُرُورٍ  فَلَمَّا  ذَاقَا  ٱلشَّجَرَةَ  بَدَتْ  لَهُمَا  سَوْءَٰتُهُمَا  وَطَفِقَا  يَخْصِفَانِ  عَلَيْهِمَا  مِن  وَرَقِ  ٱلْجَنَّةِ  وَنَادَىٰهُمَا  رَبُّهُمَآ  أَلَمْ  أَنْهَكُمَا  عَن  تِلْكُمَا  ٱلشَّجَرَةِ  وَأَقُل  لَّكُمَآ  إِنَّ  ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ  لَكُمَا  عَدُوٌّ  مُّبِينٌ fa‑dallahumā bi‑ghurūrin fa‑lammā dhāqā l‑shajarata badat lahumā sawʾātuhumā wa‑ṭafiqā yakhṣifāni ʿalayhimā min waraqi l‑jannati wa‑nādāhumā rabbuhumā a‑lam anhakumā ʿan tilkumā l‑shajarati wa‑aqul lakumā inna l‑shayṭāna lakumā ʿaduwwun mubīnun
So by deceit he brought about their fall: when they tasted of the tree, their shame became manifest to them, and they began to sew together the leaves of the garden over their bodies. And their Lord called unto them: "Did I not forbid you that tree, and tell you that Satan was an avowed enemy unto you?"

Surah 12 Yūsuf (Joseph)
(12:35)

Then it occurred to the men, after they had seen the signs, (that it was best) to imprison him for a time.
(12:77)

قَالُوٓا۟  إِن  يَسْرِقْ  فَقَدْ  سَرَقَ  أَخٌ  لَّهُۥ  مِن  قَبْلُ  فَأَسَرَّهَا  يُوسُفُ  فِى  نَفْسِهِۦ  وَلَمْ  يُبْدِهَا  لَهُمْ  قَالَ  أَنتُمْ  شَرٌّ  مَّكَانًا  وَٱللَّـهُ  أَعْلَمُ  بِمَا  تَصِفُونَ qālū in yasriq fa‑qad saraqa akhun lahu min qablu fa‑asarrahā yūsufu nafsihi wa‑lam yubdihā lahum qalā antum sharrun makānan wallāhu aʿlamu bi‑mā taṣifūna
They said: "If he steals, there was a brother of his who did steal before (him)." But these things did Joseph keep locked in his heart, revealing not the secrets to them. He (simply) said (to himself): "Ye are the worse situated; and Allah knoweth best the truth of what ye assert!"

Surah 20 Ṭā Hā (Ta-Ha)
(20:121)

In the result, they both ate of the tree, and so their nakedness appeared to them: they began to sew together, for their covering, leaves from the Garden: thus did Adam disobey his Lord, and allow himself to be seduced.

Surah 24 al-Nūr (The Light)
(24:29)

لَّيْسَ  عَلَيْكُمْ  جُنَاحٌ  أَن  تَدْخُلُوا۟  بُيُوتًا  غَيْرَ  مَسْكُونَةٍ  فِيهَا  مَتَٰعٌ  لَّكُمْ  وَٱللَّـهُ  يَعْلَمُ  مَا  تُبْدُونَ  وَمَا  تَكْتُمُونَ laysa ʿalaykum junāḥun an tadkhulū buyūtan ghayra maskūnatin fīhā matāʿun la‑kum wallāhu yaʿlamu tubdūna wa‑mā taktumūna
It is no fault on your part to enter houses not used for living in, which serve some (other) use for you: And Allah has knowledge of what ye reveal and what ye conceal.
(24:31)

And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty; that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husbands' sons, their brothers or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or the slaves whom their right hands possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O ye Believers! turn ye all together towards Allah, that ye may attain Bliss.

Surah 28 al-Qaṣaṣ (The Narrative)
(28:10)

وَأَصْبَحَ  فُؤَادُ  أُمِّ  مُوسَىٰ  فَٰرِغًا  إِن  كَادَتْ  لَتُبْدِى  بِهِۦ  لَوْلَآ  أَن  رَّبَطْنَا  عَلَىٰ  قَلْبِهَا  لِتَكُونَ  مِنَ  ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ wa‑aṣbaḥa fuʾādu ummi mūsā fārighan in kādat la‑tubdī bihi lawlā an rrabaṭnā ʿalā qalbihā li‑takūna mina l‑muʾminīna
But there came to be a void in the heart of the mother of Moses: She was going almost to disclose his (case), had We not strengthened her heart (with faith), so that she might remain a (firm) believer.

Surah 33 al-Aḥzāb (The Allies)
(33:54)

إِن  تُبْدُوا۟  شَيْـًٔا  أَوْ  تُخْفُوهُ  فَإِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  كَانَ  بِكُلِّ  شَىْءٍ  عَلِيمًا in tubdū shayʾan aw tukhfūhu fa‑inna allāha kāna bi‑kulli shayʾin ʿalīman
Whether ye reveal anything or conceal it, verily Allah has full knowledge of all things.

Surah 39 al-Zumar (The Companies)
(39:47)

وَلَوْ  أَنَّ  لِلَّذِينَ  ظَلَمُوا۟  مَا  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  جَمِيعًا  وَمِثْلَهُۥ  مَعَهُۥ  لَٱفْتَدَوْا۟  بِهِۦ  مِن  سُوٓءِ  ٱلْعَذَابِ  يَوْمَ  ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ  وَبَدَا  لَهُم  مِّنَ  ٱللَّـهِ  مَا  لَمْ  يَكُونُوا۟  يَحْتَسِبُونَ wa‑law annā li‑lladhīna ẓalamū l‑arḍi jamīʿan wa‑mithlahu maʿahu la‑iftadaw bihi min sūi l‑ʿadhābi yawma l‑qiyāmati wa‑badā lahum mina allāhi lam yakūnū yaḥtasibūna
Even if the wrong-doers had all that there is on earth, and as much more, (in vain) would they offer it for ransom from the pain of the Penalty on the Day of Judgment: but something will confront them from Allah, which they could never have counted upon!
(39:48)

For the evils of their Deeds will confront them, and they will be (completely) encircled by that which they used to mock at!

Surah 45 al-Jāthiyah (The Kneeling)
(45:33)

Then will appear to them the evil (fruits) of what they did, and they will be completely encircled by that which they used to mock at!

(They prayed): "Our Lord! in Thee do we trust, and to Thee do we turn in repentance: to Thee is (our) Final Goal.
