Surah 70 al-Maʿārij (The Ladders)

(70:11)    | يُبَصَّرُونَهُمْ يَوَدُّ ٱلْمُجْرِمُ لَوْ يَفْتَدِى مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِئِذٍۭ بِبَنِيهِ | yubaṣṣarūnahum yawaddu l‑mujrimu law yaftadī min ʿadhābi yawmiʾidhin bi‑banīhi | Though they will be put in sight of each other,- the sinner's
desire will be: Would that he could redeem himself from the Penalty of that
Day by (sacrificing) his children,
