(7:195) | أَلَهُمْ أَرْجُلٌ يَمْشُونَ بِهَآ أَمْ لَهُمْ أَيْدٍ يَبْطِشُونَ بِهَآ أَمْ لَهُمْ أَعْيُنٌ يُبْصِرُونَ بِهَآ أَمْ لَهُمْ ءَاذَانٌ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا قُلِ ٱدْعُوا۟ شُرَكَآءَكُمْ ثُمَّ كِيدُونِ فَلَا تُنظِرُونِ | alahum arjulun yamshūna bihā am lahum aydin yabṭishūna bihā am lahum aʿyunun yubṣirūna bihā am lahum ādhānun yasmaʿūna bihā quli idʿū shurakāʾakum thumma kīdūni fa‑lā tunẓirūni | Have they feet to walk with? Or hands to lay hold with? Or
eyes to see with? Or ears to hear with? Say: "Call your 'god-partners',
scheme (your worst) against me, and give me no respite!
Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:195 أَلَهُمْ أَرْجُلٌ يَمْشُونَ بِهَآ أَمْ لَهُمْ أَيْدٍ يَبْطِشُونَ بِهَآ أَمْ لَهُمْ أَعْيُنٌ يُبْصِرُونَ بِهَآ أَمْ لَهُمْ ءَاذَانٌ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا قُلِ ٱدْعُوا۟ شُرَكَآءَكُمْ ثُمَّ كِيدُونِ فَلَا تُنظِرُونِ alahum arjulun yamshūna bihā am lahum aydin yabṭishūna bihā am lahum aʿyunun yubṣirūna bihā am lahum ādhānun yasmaʿūna bihā quli idʿū shurakāʾakum thumma kīdūni fa-lā tunẓirūni Have they feet to walk with? (28:19) | فَلَمَّآ أَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَبْطِشَ بِٱلَّذِى هُوَ عَدُوٌّ لَّهُمَا قَالَ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ أَتُرِيدُ أَن تَقْتُلَنِى كَمَا قَتَلْتَ نَفْسًۢا بِٱلْأَمْسِ إِن تُرِيدُ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَ جَبَّارًا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا تُرِيدُ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُصْلِحِينَ | fa‑lammā an arāda an yabṭisha bi‑lladhī huwa ʿaduwwun llahumā qalā yā‑mūsā aturīdu an taqtulanī ka‑mā qatalta nafsan bil‑amsi in turīdu illā an takūna jabbāran fī l‑arḍi wa‑mā turīdu an takūna mina l‑muṣliḥīna | Then, when he decided to lay hold of the man who was an enemy
to both of them, that man said: "O Moses! Is it thy intention to slay me as
thou slewest a man yesterday? Thy intention is none other than to become a
powerful violent man in the land, and not to be one who sets things
right!"
Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:19 فَلَمَّآ أَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَبْطِشَ بِٱلَّذِى هُوَ عَدُوٌّ لَّهُمَا قَالَ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ أَتُرِيدُ أَن تَقْتُلَنِى كَمَا قَتَلْتَ نَفْسًۢا بِٱلْأَمْسِ إِن تُرِيدُ إِلَّآ أَن تَكُونَ جَبَّارًا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا تُرِيدُ أَن تَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُصْلِحِينَ fa-lammā an arāda an yabṭisha bi-lladhī huwa ʿaduwwun llahumā qalā yā-mūsā aturīdu an taqtulanī ka-mā qatalta nafsan bil-amsi in turīdu illā an takūna jabbāran fī l-arḍi wa-mā turīdu an takūna mina l-muṣliḥīna Then, when he decided to lay hold of the man who was an enemy to both of them, that man said: "O Moses! Is it thy intention to slay me as thou slewest a man yesterday? Thy intention is none other than to become a powerful violent man in the land, and not to be one who sets things right!" |
