Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)

(6:114)

أَفَغَيْرَ  ٱللَّـهِ  أَبْتَغِى  حَكَمًا  وَهُوَ  ٱلَّذِىٓ  أَنزَلَ  إِلَيْكُمُ  ٱلْكِتَٰبَ  مُفَصَّلًا  وَٱلَّذِينَ  ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ  ٱلْكِتَٰبَ  يَعْلَمُونَ  أَنَّهُۥ  مُنَزَّلٌ  مِّن  رَّبِّكَ  بِٱلْحَقِّ  فَلَا  تَكُونَنَّ  مِنَ  ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ a‑fa‑ghayra allāhi abtaghī ḥakaman wa‑huwa alladhī anzala ilaykumu l‑kitāba mufaṣṣalan wa‑lladhīna ātaynāhumu l‑kitāba yaʿlamūna annahu munazzalun min rabbika bil‑ḥaqqi fa‑lā takūnanna mina l‑mumtarīna
Say: "Shall I seek for judge other than Allah? - when He it is Who hath sent unto you the Book, explained in detail." They know full well, to whom We have given the Book, that it hath been sent down from thy Lord in truth. Never be then of those who doubt.
(6:164)

قُلْ  أَغَيْرَ  ٱللَّـهِ  أَبْغِى  رَبًّا  وَهُوَ  رَبُّ  كُلِّ  شَىْءٍ  وَلَا  تَكْسِبُ  كُلُّ  نَفْسٍ  إِلَّا  عَلَيْهَا  وَلَا  تَزِرُ  وَازِرَةٌ  وِزْرَ  أُخْرَىٰ  ثُمَّ  إِلَىٰ  رَبِّكُم  مَّرْجِعُكُمْ  فَيُنَبِّئُكُم  بِمَا  كُنتُمْ  فِيهِ  تَخْتَلِفُونَ qul aghayra allāhi abghī rabban wa‑huwa rabbu kulli shayʾin wa‑lā taksibu kullu nafsin illā ʿalayhā wa‑lā taziru wāziratun wizra ukhrā thumma ilā rabbikum marjiʿukum fa‑yunabbiʾukum bi‑mā kuntum fīhi takhtalifūna
Say: "Shall I seek for (my) Cherisher other than Allah, when He is the Cherisher of all things (that exist)? Every soul draws the meed of its acts on none but itself: no bearer of burdens can bear of burdens can bear the burden of another. Your goal in the end is towards Allah: He will tell you the truth of the things wherein ye disputed."

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:140)

قَالَ  أَغَيْرَ  ٱللَّـهِ  أَبْغِيكُمْ  إِلَٰهًا  وَهُوَ  فَضَّلَكُمْ  عَلَى  ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ qalā aghayra allāhi abghīkum ilāhan wa‑huwa faḍḍalakum ʿalā l‑ʿālamīna
He said: "Shall I seek for you a god other than the (true) Allah, when it is Allah Who hath endowed you with gifts above the nations?"

Surah 12 Yūsuf (Joseph)
(12:65)

وَلَمَّا  فَتَحُوا۟  مَتَٰعَهُمْ  وَجَدُوا۟  بِضَٰعَتَهُمْ  رُدَّتْ  إِلَيْهِمْ  قَالُوا۟  يَٰٓأَبَانَا  مَا  نَبْغِى  هَٰذِهِۦ  بِضَٰعَتُنَا  رُدَّتْ  إِلَيْنَا  وَنَمِيرُ  أَهْلَنَا  وَنَحْفَظُ  أَخَانَا  وَنَزْدَادُ  كَيْلَ  بَعِيرٍ  ذَٰلِكَ  كَيْلٌ  يَسِيرٌ wa‑lammā fataḥū matāʿahum wajadū biḍāʿatahum ruddat ilayhim qālū yā‑abānā nabghī hādhihi biḍāʿatunā ruddat ilaynā wa‑namīru ahlanā wa‑naḥfaẓu akhānā wa‑nazdādu kayla baʿīrin dhālika kaylun yasīrun
Then when they opened their baggage, they found their stock-in-trade had been returned to them. They said: "O our father! What (more) can we desire? this our stock-in-trade has been returned to us: so we shall get (more) food for our family; We shall take care of our brother; and add (at the same time) a full camel's load (of grain to our provisions). This is but a small quantity.

Surah 18 al-Kahf (The Cave)
(18:64)

قَالَ  ذَٰلِكَ  مَا  كُنَّا  نَبْغِ  فَٱرْتَدَّا  عَلَىٰٓ  ءَاثَارِهِمَا  قَصَصًا qalā dhālika kunnā nabghi fa‑irtaddā ʿala āthārihimā qaṣaṣan
Moses said: "That was what we were seeking after:" So they went back on their footsteps, following (the path they had come).

Surah 28 al-Qaṣaṣ (The Narrative)
(28:55)

وَإِذَا  سَمِعُوا۟  ٱللَّغْوَ  أَعْرَضُوا۟  عَنْهُ  وَقَالُوا۟  لَنَآ  أَعْمَٰلُنَا  وَلَكُمْ  أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ  سَلَٰمٌ  عَلَيْكُمْ  لَا  نَبْتَغِى  ٱلْجَٰهِلِينَ wa‑idhā samiʿū l‑laghwa aʿraḍū ʿanhu wa‑qālū lanā aʿmālunā wa‑lakum aʿmālukum salāmun ʿalaykum nabtaghī l‑jāhilīna
And when they hear vain talk, they turn away therefrom and say: "To us our deeds, and to you yours; peace be to you: we seek not the ignorant."
