Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:231)

وَإِذَا  طَلَّقْتُمُ  ٱلنِّسَآءَ  فَبَلَغْنَ  أَجَلَهُنَّ  فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ  بِمَعْرُوفٍ  أَوْ  سَرِّحُوهُنَّ  بِمَعْرُوفٍ  وَلَا  تُمْسِكُوهُنَّ  ضِرَارًا  لِّتَعْتَدُوا۟  وَمَن  يَفْعَلْ  ذَٰلِكَ  فَقَدْ  ظَلَمَ  نَفْسَهُۥ  وَلَا  تَتَّخِذُوٓا۟  ءَايَٰتِ  ٱللَّـهِ  هُزُوًا  وَٱذْكُرُوا۟  نِعْمَتَ  ٱللَّـهِ  عَلَيْكُمْ  وَمَآ  أَنزَلَ  عَلَيْكُم  مِّنَ  ٱلْكِتَٰبِ  وَٱلْحِكْمَةِ  يَعِظُكُم  بِهِۦ  وَٱتَّقُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟  أَنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  بِكُلِّ  شَىْءٍ  عَلِيمٌ wa‑idhā ṭallaqtumu l‑nisāʾa fa‑balaghna ajalahunna fa‑amsikūhunna bi‑maʿrūfin aw sarriḥūhunna bi‑maʿrūfin wa‑lā tumsikūhunna ḍirāran la‑taʿtadū wa‑man yafʿal dhālika fa‑qad ẓalama nafsahu wa‑lā tattakhidhū āyāti allāhi huzuwan wa‑idhkurū niʿmata allāhi ʿalaykum wa‑mā anzala ʿalaykum mina l‑kitābi wa‑l‑ḥikmati yaʿiẓukum bihi wa‑ittaqū allāha wa‑iʿlamū annā allāha bi‑kulli shayʾin ʿalīmun
When ye divorce women, and they fulfil the term of their ('Iddat), either take them back on equitable terms or set them free on equitable terms; but do not take them back to injure them, (or) to take undue advantage; if any one does that; He wrongs his own soul. Do not treat Allah's Signs as a jest, but solemnly rehearse Allah's favours on you, and the fact that He sent down to you the Book and Wisdom, for your instruction. And fear Allah, and know that Allah is well acquainted with all things.
(2:232)

وَإِذَا  طَلَّقْتُمُ  ٱلنِّسَآءَ  فَبَلَغْنَ  أَجَلَهُنَّ  فَلَا  تَعْضُلُوهُنَّ  أَن  يَنكِحْنَ  أَزْوَٰجَهُنَّ  إِذَا  تَرَٰضَوْا۟  بَيْنَهُم  بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ  ذَٰلِكَ  يُوعَظُ  بِهِۦ  مَن  كَانَ  مِنكُمْ  يُؤْمِنُ  بِٱللَّـهِ  وَٱلْيَوْمِ  ٱلْأَخِرِ  ذَٰلِكُمْ  أَزْكَىٰ  لَكُمْ  وَأَطْهَرُ  وَٱللَّـهُ  يَعْلَمُ  وَأَنتُمْ  لَا  تَعْلَمُونَ wa‑idhā ṭallaqtumu l‑nisāʾa fa‑balaghna ajalahunna fa‑lā taʿḍulūhunna an yankiḥna azwājahunna idhā tarāḍaw baynahum bil‑maʿrūfi dhālika yūʿaẓu bihi man kāna minkum yuʾminū billāhi wa‑l‑yawmi l‑akhiri dhālikum azka la‑kum wa‑aṭharu wallāhu yaʿlamu wa‑antum taʿlamūna
When ye divorce women, and they fulfil the term of their ('Iddat), do not prevent them from marrying their (former) husbands, if they mutually agree on equitable terms. This instruction is for all amongst you, who believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is (the course Making for) most virtue and purity amongst you and Allah knows, and ye know not.
(2:234)

If any of you die and leave widows behind, they shall wait concerning themselves four months and ten days: When they have fulfilled their term, there is no blame on you if they dispose of themselves in a just and reasonable manner. And Allah is well acquainted with what ye do.

Surah 4 al-Nisāʾ (The Women)
(4:6)

وَٱبْتَلُوا۟  ٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ  حَتَّىٰٓ  إِذَا  بَلَغُوا۟  ٱلنِّكَاحَ  فَإِنْ  ءَانَسْتُم  مِّنْهُمْ  رُشْدًا  فَٱدْفَعُوٓا۟  إِلَيْهِمْ  أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ  وَلَا  تَأْكُلُوهَآ  إِسْرَافًا  وَبِدَارًا  أَن  يَكْبَرُوا۟  وَمَن  كَانَ  غَنِيًّا  فَلْيَسْتَعْفِفْ  وَمَن  كَانَ  فَقِيرًا  فَلْيَأْكُلْ  بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ  فَإِذَا  دَفَعْتُمْ  إِلَيْهِمْ  أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ  فَأَشْهِدُوا۟  عَلَيْهِمْ  وَكَفَىٰ  بِٱللَّـهِ  حَسِيبًا wa‑ibtalū l‑yatāmā ḥatta idhā balaghū l‑nikāḥa fa‑in ānastum minhum rushdan fa‑idfaʿū ilayhim amwālahum wa‑lā takulūhā isrāfan wa‑bidāran an yakbarū wa‑man kāna ghaniyyan fa‑l‑yastaʿfif wa‑man kāna faqīran fa‑l‑yāʾkul bil‑maʿrūfi fa‑idhā dafaʿtum ilayhim amwālahum fa‑ashhidū ʿalayhim wa‑kafā billāhi ḥasīban
Make trial of orphans until they reach the age of marriage; if then ye find sound judgment in them, release their property to them; but consume it not wastefully, nor in haste against their growing up. If the guardian is well-off, Let him claim no remuneration, but if he is poor, let him have for himself what is just and reasonable. When ye release their property to them, take witnesses in their presence: But all-sufficient is Allah in taking account.

Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)
(6:128)

وَيَوْمَ  يَحْشُرُهُمْ  جَمِيعًا  يَٰمَعْشَرَ  ٱلْجِنِّ  قَدِ  ٱسْتَكْثَرْتُم  مِّنَ  ٱلْإِنسِ  وَقَالَ  أَوْلِيَآؤُهُم  مِّنَ  ٱلْإِنسِ  رَبَّنَا  ٱسْتَمْتَعَ  بَعْضُنَا  بِبَعْضٍ  وَبَلَغْنَآ  أَجَلَنَا  ٱلَّذِىٓ  أَجَّلْتَ  لَنَا  قَالَ  ٱلنَّارُ  مَثْوَىٰكُمْ  خَٰلِدِينَ  فِيهَآ  إِلَّا  مَا  شَآءَ  ٱللَّـهُ  إِنَّ  رَبَّكَ  حَكِيمٌ  عَلِيمٌ wa‑yawma yaḥshuruhum jamīʿan yā‑maʿshara l‑jinni qadi istakthartum mina l‑insi wa‑qāla awlīāuhum mina l‑insi rabbanā istamtaʿa baʿḍunā bi‑baʿḍin wa‑balaghnā ajalanā alladhī ajjalta la‑nā qalā l‑nāru mathwakum khālidīna fīhā illā shāʾa allāhu inna rabbaka ḥakīmun ʿalīmun
One day will He gather them all together, (and say): "O ye assembly of Jinns! Much (toll) did ye take of men." Their friends amongst men will say: "Our Lord! we made profit from each other: but (alas!) we reached our term - which thou didst appoint for us." He will say: "The Fire be your dwelling-place: you will dwell therein for ever, except as Allah willeth." for thy Lord is full of wisdom and knowledge.

Surah 22 al-Ḥajj (The Pilgrimage)
(22:5)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلنَّاسُ  إِن  كُنتُمْ  فِى  رَيْبٍ  مِّنَ  ٱلْبَعْثِ  فَإِنَّا  خَلَقْنَٰكُم  مِّن  تُرَابٍ  ثُمَّ  مِن  نُّطْفَةٍ  ثُمَّ  مِنْ  عَلَقَةٍ  ثُمَّ  مِن  مُّضْغَةٍ  مُّخَلَّقَةٍ  وَغَيْرِ  مُخَلَّقَةٍ  لِّنُبَيِّنَ  لَكُمْ  وَنُقِرُّ  فِى  ٱلْأَرْحَامِ  مَا  نَشَآءُ  إِلَىٰٓ  أَجَلٍ  مُّسَمًّى  ثُمَّ  نُخْرِجُكُمْ  طِفْلًا  ثُمَّ  لِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟  أَشُدَّكُمْ  وَمِنكُم  مَّن  يُتَوَفَّىٰ  وَمِنكُم  مَّن  يُرَدُّ  إِلَىٰٓ  أَرْذَلِ  ٱلْعُمُرِ  لِكَيْلَا  يَعْلَمَ  مِنۢ  بَعْدِ  عِلْمٍ  شَيْـًٔا  وَتَرَى  ٱلْأَرْضَ  هَامِدَةً  فَإِذَآ  أَنزَلْنَا  عَلَيْهَا  ٱلْمَآءَ  ٱهْتَزَّتْ  وَرَبَتْ  وَأَنۢبَتَتْ  مِن  كُلِّ  زَوْجٍۭ  بَهِيجٍ yā‑ayyuhā l‑nāsu in kuntum raybin mina l‑baʿthi fa‑innā khalaqnākum min turābin thumma min nuṭfatin thumma min ʿalaqatin thumma min muḍghatin mukhallaqatin wa‑ghayri mukhallaqatin li‑nubayyina la‑kum wa‑nuqirru l‑arḥāmi nashāʾu ila ajalin musamman thumma nukhrijukum ṭiflan thumma li‑tablughū ashuddakum wa‑minkum man yutawaffā wa‑minkum man yuraddu ila ardhali l‑ʿumuri li‑kaylā yaʿlama min baʿdi ʿilmin shayʾan wa‑tara l‑arḍa hāmidatan fa‑idhā anzalnā ʿalayhā l‑māa ihtazzat wa‑rabat wa‑anbatat min kulli zawjin bahījin
O mankind! if ye have a doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that We created you out of dust, then out of sperm, then out of a leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, in order that We may manifest (our power) to you; and We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full strength; and some of you are called to die, and some are sent back to the feeblest old age, so that they know nothing after having known (much), and (further), thou seest the earth barren and lifeless, but when We pour down rain on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells, and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs).

Surah 24 al-Nūr (The Light)
(24:58)

O ye who believe! let those whom your right hands possess, and the (children) among you who have not come of age ask your permission (before they come to your presence), on three occasions: before morning prayer; the while ye doff your clothes for the noonday heat; and after the late-night prayer: these are your three times of undress: outside those times it is not wrong for you or for them to move about attending to each other: Thus does Allah make clear the Signs to you: for Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom.

Surah 33 al-Aḥzāb (The Allies)
(33:39)

(It is the practice of those) who preach the Messages of Allah, and fear Him, and fear none but Allah. And enough is Allah to call (men) to account.

Surah 34 Sabaʾ (Sheba)
(34:45)

And their predecessors rejected (the Truth); these have not received a tenth of what We had granted to those: yet when they rejected My messengers, how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)!

Surah 40 al-Ghāfir (The Forgiving One)
(40:67)

هُوَ  ٱلَّذِى  خَلَقَكُم  مِّن  تُرَابٍ  ثُمَّ  مِن  نُّطْفَةٍ  ثُمَّ  مِنْ  عَلَقَةٍ  ثُمَّ  يُخْرِجُكُمْ  طِفْلًا  ثُمَّ  لِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟  أَشُدَّكُمْ  ثُمَّ  لِتَكُونُوا۟  شُيُوخًا  وَمِنكُم  مَّن  يُتَوَفَّىٰ  مِن  قَبْلُ  وَلِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟  أَجَلًا  مُّسَمًّى  وَلَعَلَّكُمْ  تَعْقِلُونَ huwa alladhī khalaqakum min turābin thumma min nuṭfatin thumma min ʿalaqatin thumma yukhrijukum ṭiflan thumma li‑tablughū ashuddakum thumma li‑takūnū shuyūkhan wa‑minkum man yutawaffā min qablu wa‑li‑tablughū ajalan musamman wa‑la‑ʿallakum taʿqilūna
It is He Who has created you from dust then from a sperm-drop, then from a leech-like clot; then does he get you out (into the light) as a child: then lets you (grow and) reach your age of full strength; then lets you become old,- though of you there are some who die before;- and lets you reach a Term appointed; in order that ye may learn wisdom.
(40:80)

And there are (other) advantages in them for you (besides); that ye may through them attain to any need (there may be) in your hearts; and on them and on ships ye are carried.

Surah 65 al-Ṭalāq (The Divorce)
(65:2)

فَإِذَا  بَلَغْنَ  أَجَلَهُنَّ  فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ  بِمَعْرُوفٍ  أَوْ  فَارِقُوهُنَّ  بِمَعْرُوفٍ  وَأَشْهِدُوا۟  ذَوَىْ  عَدْلٍ  مِّنكُمْ  وَأَقِيمُوا۟  ٱلشَّهَٰدَةَ  لِلَّـهِ  ذَٰلِكُمْ  يُوعَظُ  بِهِۦ  مَن  كَانَ  يُؤْمِنُ  بِٱللَّـهِ  وَٱلْيَوْمِ  ٱلْأَخِرِ  وَمَن  يَتَّقِ  ٱللَّـهَ  يَجْعَل  لَّهُۥ  مَخْرَجًا fa‑idhā balaghna ajalahunna fa‑amsikūhunna bi‑maʿrūfin aw fāriqūhunna bi‑maʿrūfin wa‑ashhidū dhawa ʿadlin minkum wa‑aqīmū l‑shahādata lillāhi dhālikum yūʿaẓu bihi man kāna yuʾminū billāhi wa‑l‑yawmi l‑akhiri wa‑man yattaqi allāha yajʿal lahu makhrajan
Thus when they fulfil their term appointed, either take them back on equitable terms or part with them on equitable terms; and take for witness two persons from among you, endued with justice, and establish the evidence (as) before Allah. Such is the admonition given to him who believes in Allah and the Last Day. And for those who fear Allah, He (ever) prepares a way out,

Surah 72 al-Jinn (The Jinn)
(72:28)

"That He may know that they have (truly) brought and delivered the Messages of their Lord: and He surrounds (all the mysteries) that are with them, and takes account of every single thing."
