Sura al-Tawbah 9:110

لَا يَزَالُ بُنْيَٰنُهُمُ ٱلَّذِى بَنَوْا۟ رِيبَةً فِى قُلُوبِهِمْ إِلَّآ أَن تَقَطَّعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَٱللَّـهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ

lā yazālu bunyānuhumu alladhī banaw rībatan fī qulūbihim illā an taqaṭṭaʿa qulūbuhum wallāhu ʿalīmun ḥakīmun

The foundation of those who so build is never free from suspicion and shakiness in their hearts, until their hearts are cut to pieces. And Allah is All-Knowing, Wise.

Sura al-Kahf 18:21

وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَعْثَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ لِيَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّـهِ حَقٌّ وَأَنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَآ إِذْ يَتَنَٰزَعُونَ بَيْنَهُمْ أَمْرَهُمْ فَقَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ عَلَيْهِم بُنْيَٰنًا رَّبُّهُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِهِمْ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ غَلَبُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرِهِمْ لَنَتَّخِذَنَّ عَلَيْهِم مَّسْجِدًا

wa-ka-dhālika aʿtharnā ʿalayhim li-yaʿlamū annā waʿda allāhi ḥaqqun wa-anna l-sāʿata lā rayba fīhā idh yatanāzaʿūna baynahum amrahum fa-qālū ibnū ʿalayhim bunyānan rrabbuhum aʿlamu bihim qalā lladhīna ghalabū ʿala amrihim la-nattakhidhanna ʿalayhim masjidan

Thus did We make their case known to the people, that they might know that the promise of Allah is true, and that there can be no doubt about the Hour of Judgment. Behold, they dispute among themselves as to their affair. (Some) said, "Construct a building over them": Their Lord knows best about them: those who prevailed over their affair said, "Let us surely build a place of worship over them."

Sura al-Shuʿarā 26:128

أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ ءَايَةً تَعْبَثُونَ

atabnūna bi-kulli rīʿin āyatan taʿbathūna

"Do ye build a landmark on every high place to amuse yourselves?

Sura al-Ṣaffāt 37:97

قَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ لَهُۥ بُنْيَٰنًا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِى ٱلْجَحِيمِ

qālū ibnū lahu bunyānan fa-alqūhu fī l-jaḥīmi

They said, "Build him a furnace, and throw him into the blazing fire!"

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:36

وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ يَٰهَٰمَٰنُ ٱبْنِ لِى صَرْحًا لَّعَلِّىٓ أَبْلُغُ ٱلْأَسْبَٰبَ

wa-qāla firʿawun yā-hāmānu ibni lī ṣarḥan laʿallī ablughu l-asbāba

Pharaoh said: "O Haman! Build me a lofty palace, that I may attain the ways and means-

Sura Qāf 50:6

أَفَلَمْ يَنظُرُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا وَزَيَّنَّٰهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِن فُرُوجٍ

a-fa-lam yanẓurū ilā l-samāʾi fawqahum kayfa banaynāhā wa-zayyannāhā wa-mā lahā min furūjin

Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it?

Sura al-Dhāriyāt 51:47

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا بِأَيْي۟دٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ

wa-l-samāʾa banaynāhā bi-ayydin wa-innā lamūsiʿūna

With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace.

Sura al-Taḥrīm 66:11

وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّـهُ مَثَلًا لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱمْرَأَتَ فِرْعَوْنَ إِذْ قَالَتْ رَبِّ ٱبْنِ لِى عِندَكَ بَيْتًا فِى ٱلْجَنَّةِ وَنَجِّنِى مِن فِرْعَوْنَ وَعَمَلِهِۦ وَنَجِّنِى مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

wa-ḍaraba allāhu mathalan li-lladhīna āmanū mraata firʿawna idh qālat rabbi ibni lī ʿindaka baytan fī l-jannati wa-najjinī min firʿawna wa-ʿamalihi wa-najjinī mina l-qawmi l-ẓālimīna

And Allah sets forth, as an example to those who believe the wife of Pharaoh: Behold she said: "O my Lord! Build for me, in nearness to Thee, a mansion in the Garden, and save me from Pharaoh and his doings, and save me from those that do wrong";

Sura al-Nabaʾ 78:12

وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا

wa-banaynā fawqakum sabʿan shidādan

And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments,

Sura al-Nāziʿāt 79:27

ءَأَنتُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ بَنَىٰهَا

aʾantum ashaddu khalqan ami l-samāʾu banāhā

What! Are ye the more difficult to create or the heaven (above)? (Allah) hath constructed it:

Sura al-Shams 91:5

وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا بَنَىٰهَا

wa-l-samāʾi wa-mā banāhā

By the Firmament and its (wonderful) structure;
