Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:37)

Then learnt Adam from his Lord words of inspiration, and his Lord Turned towards him; for He is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.
(2:54)

And remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Ye have indeed wronged yourselves by your worship of the calf: So turn (in repentance) to your Maker, and slay yourselves (the wrong-doers); that will be better for you in the sight of your Maker." Then He turned towards you (in forgiveness): For He is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.
(2:128)

"Our Lord! make of us Muslims, bowing to Thy (Will), and of our progeny a people Muslim, bowing to Thy (will); and show us our place for the celebration of (due) rites; and turn unto us (in Mercy); for Thou art the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.
(2:160)

Except those who repent and make amends and openly declare (the Truth): To them I turn; for I am Oft-returning, Most Merciful.
(2:187)

Permitted to you, on the night of the fasts, is the approach to your wives. They are your garments and ye are their garments. Allah knoweth what ye used to do secretly among yourselves; but He turned to you and forgave you; so now associate with them, and seek what Allah Hath ordained for you, and eat and drink, until the white thread of dawn appear to you distinct from its black thread; then complete your fast Till the night appears; but do not associate with your wives while ye are in retreat in the mosques. Those are Limits (set by) Allah: Approach not nigh thereto. Thus doth Allah make clear His Signs to men: that they may learn self-restraint.
(2:279)

فَإِن  لَّمْ  تَفْعَلُوا۟  فَأْذَنُوا۟  بِحَرْبٍ  مِّنَ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَرَسُولِهِۦ  وَإِن  تُبْتُمْ  فَلَكُمْ  رُءُوسُ  أَمْوَٰلِكُمْ  لَا  تَظْلِمُونَ  وَلَا  تُظْلَمُونَ fa‑in lam tafʿalū fa‑dhanū bi‑ḥarbin mina allāhi wa‑rasūlihi wa‑in tubtum fa‑lakum ruʾūsu amwālikum taẓlimūna wa‑lā tuẓlamūna
If ye do it not, Take notice of war from Allah and His Messenger: But if ye turn back, ye shall have your capital sums: Deal not unjustly, and ye shall not be dealt with unjustly.

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)
(3:89)

Except for those that repent (Even) after that, and make amends; for verily Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
(3:128)

Not for thee, (but for Allah), is the decision: Whether He turn in mercy to them, or punish them; for they are indeed wrong-doers.

Surah 4 al-Nisāʾ (The Women)
(4:16)

وَٱلَّذَانِ  يَأْتِيَٰنِهَا  مِنكُمْ  فَـَٔاذُوهُمَا  فَإِن  تَابَا  وَأَصْلَحَا  فَأَعْرِضُوا۟  عَنْهُمَآ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  كَانَ  تَوَّابًا  رَّحِيمًا wa‑alladhāni yaʾtiyānihā minkum fa‑ādhūhumā fa‑in tābā wa‑aṣlaḥā fa‑aʿriḍū ʿanhumā inna allāha kāna tawwāban raḥīman
If two men among you are guilty of lewdness, punish them both. If they repent and amend, Leave them alone; for Allah is Oft-returning, Most Merciful.
(4:17)

Allah accept the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and repent soon afterwards; to them will Allah turn in mercy: For Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom.
(4:18)

وَلَيْسَتِ  ٱلتَّوْبَةُ  لِلَّذِينَ  يَعْمَلُونَ  ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ  حَتَّىٰٓ  إِذَا  حَضَرَ  أَحَدَهُمُ  ٱلْمَوْتُ  قَالَ  إِنِّى  تُبْتُ  ٱلْـَٰٔنَ  وَلَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  يَمُوتُونَ  وَهُمْ  كُفَّارٌ  أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  أَعْتَدْنَا  لَهُمْ  عَذَابًا  أَلِيمًا wa‑laysati l‑tawbatu li‑lladhīna yaʿmalūna l‑sayyiʾāti ḥatta idhā ḥaḍara aḥadahumu l‑mawtu qalā innī tubtu l‑ana wa‑lā lladhīna yamūtūna wa‑hum kuffārun ulāʾika aʿtadnā lahum ʿadhāban alīman
Of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil, until death faces one of them, and he says, "Now have I repented indeed;" nor of those who die rejecting Faith: for them have We prepared a punishment most grievous.
(4:26)

Allah doth wish to make clear to you and to show you the ordinances of those before you; and (He doth wish to) turn to you (In Mercy): And Allah is All-knowing, All-wise.
(4:27)

وَٱللَّـهُ  يُرِيدُ  أَن  يَتُوبَ  عَلَيْكُمْ  وَيُرِيدُ  ٱلَّذِينَ  يَتَّبِعُونَ  ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ  أَن  تَمِيلُوا۟  مَيْلًا  عَظِيمًا wallāhu yurīdu an yatūba ʿalaykum wa‑yurīdu lladhīna yattabiʿūna l‑shahawāti an tamīlū maylan ʿaẓīman
Allah doth wish to Turn to you, but the wish of those who follow their lusts is that ye should turn away (from Him),- far, far away.
(4:146)

إِلَّا  ٱلَّذِينَ  تَابُوا۟  وَأَصْلَحُوا۟  وَٱعْتَصَمُوا۟  بِٱللَّـهِ  وَأَخْلَصُوا۟  دِينَهُمْ  لِلَّـهِ  فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  مَعَ  ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ  وَسَوْفَ  يُؤْتِ  ٱللَّـهُ  ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ  أَجْرًا  عَظِيمًا illā lladhīna tābū wa‑aṣlaḥū wa‑aʿtaṣamū billāhi wa‑akhlaṣū dīnahum lillāhi fa‑ūlāʾika maʿa l‑muʾminīna wa‑sawfa yuʾti allāhu l‑muʾminīna ajran ʿaẓīman
Except for those who repent, mend (their lives) hold fast to Allah, and purify their religion as in Allah's sight: if so they will be (numbered) with the believers. And soon will Allah grant to the believers a reward of immense value.

Surah 5 al-Māʾidah (The Table Spread)
(5:34)

إِلَّا  ٱلَّذِينَ  تَابُوا۟  مِن  قَبْلِ  أَن  تَقْدِرُوا۟  عَلَيْهِمْ  فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟  أَنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  غَفُورٌ  رَّحِيمٌ illā lladhīna tābū min qabli an taqdirū ʿalayhim fa‑iʿlamū annā allāha ghafūrun raḥīmun
Except for those who repent before they fall into your power: in that case, know that Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
(5:39)

فَمَن  تَابَ  مِنۢ  بَعْدِ  ظُلْمِهِۦ  وَأَصْلَحَ  فَإِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  يَتُوبُ  عَلَيْهِ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  غَفُورٌ  رَّحِيمٌ fa‑man tāba min baʿdi ẓulmihi wa‑aṣlaḥa fa‑inna allāha yatūbu ʿalayhi inna allāha ghafūrun raḥīmun
But if the thief repents after his crime, and amends his conduct, Allah turneth to him in forgiveness; for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
(5:71)

They thought there would be no trial (or punishment); so they became blind and deaf; yet Allah (in mercy) turned to them; yet again many of them became blind and deaf. But Allah sees well all that they do.
(5:74)

أَفَلَا  يَتُوبُونَ  إِلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَهُۥ  وَٱللَّـهُ  غَفُورٌ  رَّحِيمٌ a‑fa‑lā yatūbūna ilā allāhi wa‑yastaghfirūnahu wallāhu ghafūrun raḥīmun
Why turn they not to Allah, and seek His forgiveness? For Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)
(6:54)

وَإِذَا  جَآءَكَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  يُؤْمِنُونَ  بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا  فَقُلْ  سَلَٰمٌ  عَلَيْكُمْ  كَتَبَ  رَبُّكُمْ  عَلَىٰ  نَفْسِهِ  ٱلرَّحْمَةَ  أَنَّهُۥ  مَنْ  عَمِلَ  مِنكُمْ  سُوٓءًۢا  بِجَهَٰلَةٍ  ثُمَّ  تَابَ  مِنۢ  بَعْدِهِۦ  وَأَصْلَحَ  فَأَنَّهُۥ  غَفُورٌ  رَّحِيمٌ wa‑idhā jāʾaka lladhīna yuʾminūna bi‑āyātinā fa‑qul salāmun ʿalaykum kataba rabbukum ʿalā nafsihi l‑raḥmata annahu man ʿamila minkum sūan bi‑jahālatin thumma tāba min baʿdihi wa‑aṣlaḥa fa‑annahu ghafūrun raḥīmun
When those come to thee who believe in Our signs, Say: "Peace be on you: Your Lord hath inscribed for Himself (the rule of) mercy: verily, if any of you did evil in ignorance, and thereafter repented, and amend (his conduct), lo! He is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:143)

When Moses came to the place appointed by Us, and his Lord addressed him, He said: "O my Lord! show (Thyself) to me, that I may look upon thee." Allah said: "By no means canst thou see Me (direct); But look upon the mount; if it abide in its place, then shalt thou see Me." When his Lord manifested His glory on the Mount, He made it as dust. And Moses fell down in a swoon. When he recovered his senses he said: "Glory be to Thee! to Thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe."
(7:153)

But those who do wrong but repent thereafter and (truly) believe,- verily thy Lord is thereafter Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Surah 9 al-Tawbah (Repentance)
(9:3)

وَأَذَٰنٌ  مِّنَ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَرَسُولِهِۦٓ  إِلَى  ٱلنَّاسِ  يَوْمَ  ٱلْحَجِّ  ٱلْأَكْبَرِ  أَنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  بَرِىٓءٌ  مِّنَ  ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ  وَرَسُولُهُۥ  فَإِن  تُبْتُمْ  فَهُوَ  خَيْرٌ  لَّكُمْ  وَإِن  تَوَلَّيْتُمْ  فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟  أَنَّكُمْ  غَيْرُ  مُعْجِزِى  ٱللَّـهِ  وَبَشِّرِ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  بِعَذَابٍ  أَلِيمٍ wa‑adhānun mina allāhi wa‑rasūlihi ilā l‑nāsi yawma l‑ḥajji l‑akbari annā allāha barīʾun mina l‑mushrikīna wa‑rasūluhu fa‑in tubtum fa‑huwa khayrun la‑kum wa‑in tawallaytum fa‑iʿlamū annakum ghayru muʿjizī allāhi wa‑bashshiri lladhīna kafarū bi‑ʿadhābin alīmin
And an announcement from Allah and His Messenger, to the people (assembled) on the day of the Great Pilgrimage,- that Allah and His Messenger dissolve (treaty) obligations with the Pagans. If then, ye repent, it were best for you; but if ye turn away, know ye that ye cannot frustrate Allah. And proclaim a grievous penalty to those who reject Faith.
(9:5)

فَإِذَا  ٱنسَلَخَ  ٱلْأَشْهُرُ  ٱلْحُرُمُ  فَٱقْتُلُوا۟  ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ  حَيْثُ  وَجَدتُّمُوهُمْ  وَخُذُوهُمْ  وَٱحْصُرُوهُمْ  وَٱقْعُدُوا۟  لَهُمْ  كُلَّ  مَرْصَدٍ  فَإِن  تَابُوا۟  وَأَقَامُوا۟  ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ  وَءَاتَوُا۟  ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ  فَخَلُّوا۟  سَبِيلَهُمْ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  غَفُورٌ  رَّحِيمٌ fa‑idhā nsalakha l‑ashhuru l‑ḥurumu faqtulū l‑mushrikīna ḥaythu wa‑jadttumūhum wa‑khudhūhum wa‑aḥṣurūhum wa‑aqʿudū lahum kulla marṣadin fa‑in tābū wa‑aqāmū l‑ṣalāta wa‑ātawu l‑zakāta fakhallū sabīlahum inna allāha ghafūrun raḥīmun
But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practise regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
(9:11)

فَإِن  تَابُوا۟  وَأَقَامُوا۟  ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ  وَءَاتَوُا۟  ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ  فَإِخْوَٰنُكُمْ  فِى  ٱلدِّينِ  وَنُفَصِّلُ  ٱلْأَيَٰتِ  لِقَوْمٍ  يَعْلَمُونَ fa‑in tābū wa‑aqāmū l‑ṣalāta wa‑ātawu l‑zakāta fa‑ikhwānukum l‑dīni wa‑nufaṣṣilu l‑ayāti li‑qawmin yaʿlamūna
But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity,- they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand.
(9:15)

وَيُذْهِبْ  غَيْظَ  قُلُوبِهِمْ  وَيَتُوبُ  ٱللَّـهُ  عَلَىٰ  مَن  يَشَآءُ  وَٱللَّـهُ  عَلِيمٌ  حَكِيمٌ wa‑yudhhib ghayẓa qulūbihim wa‑yatūbu allāhu ʿalā man yashāʾu wallāhu ʿalīmun ḥakīmun
And still the indignation of their hearts. For Allah will turn (in mercy) to whom He will; and Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
(9:27)

ثُمَّ  يَتُوبُ  ٱللَّـهُ  مِنۢ  بَعْدِ  ذَٰلِكَ  عَلَىٰ  مَن  يَشَآءُ  وَٱللَّـهُ  غَفُورٌ  رَّحِيمٌ thumma yatūbu allāhu min baʿdi dhālika ʿalā man yashāʾu wallāhu ghafūrun raḥīmun
Again will Allah, after this, turn (in mercy) to whom He will: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
(9:74)

يَحْلِفُونَ  بِاللَّـهِ  مَا  قَالُوا۟  وَلَقَدْ  قَالُوا۟  كَلِمَةَ  ٱلْكُفْرِ  وَكَفَرُوا۟  بَعْدَ  إِسْلَٰمِهِمْ  وَهَمُّوا۟  بِمَا  لَمْ  يَنَالُوا۟  وَمَا  نَقَمُوٓا۟  إِلَّآ  أَنْ  أَغْنَىٰهُمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  وَرَسُولُهُۥ  مِن  فَضْلِهِۦ  فَإِن  يَتُوبُوا۟  يَكُ  خَيْرًا  لَّهُمْ  وَإِن  يَتَوَلَّوْا۟  يُعَذِّبْهُمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  عَذَابًا  أَلِيمًا  فِى  ٱلدُّنْيَا  وَٱلْأَخِرَةِ  وَمَا  لَهُمْ  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  مِن  وَلِىٍّ  وَلَا  نَصِيرٍ yaḥlifūna billahi qālū wa‑la‑qad qālū kalimata l‑kufri wa‑kafarū baʿda islāmihim wa‑hammū bi‑mā lam yanālū wa‑mā naqamū illā an aghnahumu allāhu wa‑rasūluhu min faḍlihi fa‑in yatūbū yaku khayran lahum wa‑in yatawallaw yuʿadhdhibhumu allāhu ʿadhāban alīman l‑dunyā wa‑l‑akhirati wa‑mā lahum l‑arḍi min waliyyin wa‑lā naṣīrin
They swear by Allah that they said nothing (evil), but indeed they uttered blasphemy, and they did it after accepting Islam; and they meditated a plot which they were unable to carry out: this revenge of theirs was (their) only return for the bounty with which Allah and His Messenger had enriched them! If they repent, it will be best for them; but if they turn back (to their evil ways), Allah will punish them with a grievous penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: They shall have none on earth to protect or help them.
(9:102)

وَءَاخَرُونَ  ٱعْتَرَفُوا۟  بِذُنُوبِهِمْ  خَلَطُوا۟  عَمَلًا  صَٰلِحًا  وَءَاخَرَ  سَيِّئًا  عَسَى  ٱللَّـهُ  أَن  يَتُوبَ  عَلَيْهِمْ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  غَفُورٌ  رَّحِيمٌ wa‑ākharūna iʿtarafū bi‑dhunūbihim khalaṭū ʿamalan ṣāliḥan wa‑ākhara sayyian ʿasā allāhu an yatūba ʿalayhim inna allāha ghafūrun raḥīmun
Others (there are who) have acknowledged their wrong-doings: they have mixed an act that was good with another that was evil. Perhaps Allah will turn unto them (in Mercy): for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
(9:106)

There are (yet) others, held in suspense for the command of Allah, whether He will punish them, or turn in mercy to them: and Allah is All-Knowing, Wise.
(9:117)

Allah turned with favour to the Prophet, the Muhajirs, and the Ansar,- who followed him in a time of distress, after that the hearts of a part of them had nearly swerved (from duty); but He turned to them (also): for He is unto them Most Kind, Most Merciful.
(9:118)

وَعَلَى  ٱلثَّلَٰثَةِ  ٱلَّذِينَ  خُلِّفُوا۟  حَتَّىٰٓ  إِذَا  ضَاقَتْ  عَلَيْهِمُ  ٱلْأَرْضُ  بِمَا  رَحُبَتْ  وَضَاقَتْ  عَلَيْهِمْ  أَنفُسُهُمْ  وَظَنُّوٓا۟  أَن  لَّا  مَلْجَأَ  مِنَ  ٱللَّـهِ  إِلَّآ  إِلَيْهِ  ثُمَّ  تَابَ  عَلَيْهِمْ  لِيَتُوبُوٓا۟  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  هُوَ  ٱلتَّوَّابُ  ٱلرَّحِيمُ wa‑ʿala l‑thalāthati lladhīna khullifū ḥatta idhā ḍāqat ʿalayhimu l‑arḍu bi‑mā raḥubat wa‑ḍāqat ʿalayhim anfusuhum wa‑ẓannū an maljaʾa mina allāhi illā ilayhi thumma tāba ʿalayhim li‑yatūbū inna allāha huwa l‑tawwābu l‑raḥīmu
(He turned in mercy also) to the three who were left behind; (they felt guilty) to such a degree that the earth seemed constrained to them, for all its spaciousness, and their (very) souls seemed straightened to them,- and they perceived that there is no fleeing from Allah (and no refuge) but to Himself. Then He turned to them, that they might repent: for Allah is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.
(9:126)

See they not that they are tried every year once or twice? Yet they turn not in repentance, and they take no heed.

Surah 11 Hūd (Hud)
(11:3)

وَأَنِ  ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟  رَبَّكُمْ  ثُمَّ  تُوبُوٓا۟  إِلَيْهِ  يُمَتِّعْكُم  مَّتَٰعًا  حَسَنًا  إِلَىٰٓ  أَجَلٍ  مُّسَمًّى  وَيُؤْتِ  كُلَّ  ذِى  فَضْلٍ  فَضْلَهُۥ  وَإِن  تَوَلَّوْا۟  فَإِنِّىٓ  أَخَافُ  عَلَيْكُمْ  عَذَابَ  يَوْمٍ  كَبِيرٍ wa‑ani istaghfirū rabbakum thumma tūbū ilayhi yumattiʿkum matāʿan ḥasanan ila ajalin musamman wa‑yuʾti kulla dhī faḍlin faḍlahu wa‑in tawallaw fa‑innī akhāfu ʿalaykum ʿadhāba yawmin kabīrin
"(And to preach thus), 'Seek ye the forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him in repentance; that He may grant you enjoyment, good (and true), for a term appointed, and bestow His abounding grace on all who abound in merit! But if ye turn away, then I fear for you the penalty of a great day:
(11:52)

وَيَٰقَوْمِ  ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟  رَبَّكُمْ  ثُمَّ  تُوبُوٓا۟  إِلَيْهِ  يُرْسِلِ  ٱلسَّمَآءَ  عَلَيْكُم  مِّدْرَارًا  وَيَزِدْكُمْ  قُوَّةً  إِلَىٰ  قُوَّتِكُمْ  وَلَا  تَتَوَلَّوْا۟  مُجْرِمِينَ wa‑yā‑qawmi istaghfirū rabbakum thumma tūbū ilayhi yursili l‑samāʾa ʿalaykum midrāran wa‑yazidkum quwwatan ilā quwwatikum wa‑lā tatawallaw mujrimīna
"And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him (in repentance): He will send you the skies pouring abundant rain, and add strength to your strength: so turn ye not back in sin!"
(11:61)

وَإِلَىٰ  ثَمُودَ  أَخَاهُمْ  صَٰلِحًا  قَالَ  يَٰقَوْمِ  ٱعْبُدُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  مَا  لَكُم  مِّنْ  إِلَٰهٍ  غَيْرُهُۥ  هُوَ  أَنشَأَكُم  مِّنَ  ٱلْأَرْضِ  وَٱسْتَعْمَرَكُمْ  فِيهَا  فَٱسْتَغْفِرُوهُ  ثُمَّ  تُوبُوٓا۟  إِلَيْهِ  إِنَّ  رَبِّى  قَرِيبٌ  مُّجِيبٌ wa‑ilā thamūda akhāhum ṣāliḥan qalā yā‑qawmi iʿbudū allāha la‑kum min ilāhin ghayruhu huwa anshaʾakum mina l‑arḍi wa‑istaʿmarakum fīhā fa‑istaghfirūhu thumma tūbū ilayhi inna rabbī qarībun mujībun
To the Thamud People (We sent) Salih, one of their own brethren. He said: "O my people! Worship Allah: ye have no other god but Him. It is He Who hath produced you from the earth and settled you therein: then ask forgiveness of Him, and turn to Him (in repentance): for my Lord is (always) near, ready to answer."
(11:90)

"But ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn unto Him (in repentance): For my Lord is indeed full of mercy and loving-kindness."
(11:112)

فَٱسْتَقِمْ  كَمَآ  أُمِرْتَ  وَمَن  تَابَ  مَعَكَ  وَلَا  تَطْغَوْا۟  إِنَّهُۥ  بِمَا  تَعْمَلُونَ  بَصِيرٌ fa‑istaqim ka‑mā umirta wa‑man tāba maʿaka wa‑lā taṭghaw innahu bi‑mā taʿmalūna baṣīrun
Therefore stand firm (in the straight Path) as thou art commanded,- thou and those who with thee turn (unto Allah); and transgress not (from the Path): for He seeth well all that ye do.

Surah 16 al-Naḥl (The Bee)
(16:119)

But verily thy Lord,- to those who do wrong in ignorance, but who thereafter repent and make amends,- thy Lord, after all this, is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Surah 19 Maryam (Mary)
(19:60)

Except those who repent and believe, and work righteousness: for these will enter the Garden and will not be wronged in the least,-

Surah 20 Ṭā Hā (Ta-Ha)
(20:82)

"But, without doubt, I am (also) He that forgives again and again, to those who repent, believe, and do right, who,- in fine, are ready to receive true guidance."
(20:122)

But his Lord chose him (for His Grace): He turned to him, and gave him Guidance.

Surah 24 al-Nūr (The Light)
(24:5)

Unless they repent thereafter and mend (their conduct); for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Surah 25 al-Furqān (The Criterion)

(25:71)

Surah 28 al-Qaṣaṣ (The Narrative)
(28:67)

Surah 33 al-Aḥzāb (The Allies)

We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents: In pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is (a period of) thirty months. At length, when he reaches the age of full strength and attains forty years, he says, "O my Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favour which Thou has bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam."
