(4:16) | وَٱلَّذَانِ يَأْتِيَٰنِهَا مِنكُمْ فَـَٔاذُوهُمَا فَإِن تَابَا وَأَصْلَحَا فَأَعْرِضُوا۟ عَنْهُمَآ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ كَانَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِيمًا | wa‑alladhāni yaʾtiyānihā minkum fa‑ādhūhumā fa‑in tābā wa‑aṣlaḥā fa‑aʿriḍū ʿanhumā inna allāha kāna tawwāban raḥīman | If two men among you are guilty of lewdness, punish them both.
If they repent and amend, Leave them alone; for Allah is Oft-returning, Most
Merciful.

(66:4) | إِن تَتُوبَآ إِلَى ٱللَّـهِ فَقَدْ صَغَتْ قُلُوبُكُمَا وَإِن تَظَٰهَرَا عَلَيْهِ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ هُوَ مَوْلَىٰهُ وَجِبْرِيلُ وَصَٰلِحُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ ظَهِيرٌ | in tatūbā ilā allāhi fa‑qad ṣaghat qulūbukumā wa‑in taẓāharā ʿalayhi fa‑inna allāha huwa mawlāhu wa‑jibrīlu wa‑ṣāliḥu l‑muʾminīna wa‑l‑malāʾikatu baʿda dhālika ẓahīrun | If ye two turn in repentance to Him, your hearts are indeed so
inclined; But if ye back up each other against him, truly Allah is his
Protector, and Gabriel, and (every) righteous one among those who believe,-
and furthermore, the angels - will back (him) up.
