(2:265) | وَمَثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَٰلَهُمُ ٱبْتِغَآءَ مَرْضَاتِ ٱللَّـهِ وَتَثْبِيتًا مِّنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ كَمَثَلِ جَنَّةٍۭ بِرَبْوَةٍ أَصَابَهَا وَابِلٌ فَـَٔاتَتْ أُكُلَهَا ضِعْفَيْنِ فَإِن لَّمْ يُصِبْهَا وَابِلٌ فَطَلٌّ وَٱللَّـهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ | wa‑mathalu lladhīna yunfiqūna amwālahumu ibtighāʾa marḍāti allāhi wa‑tathbītan min anfusihim ka‑mathali jannatin bi‑rabwatin aṣābahā wābilun fa‑ātat ukulahā ḍiʿfayni fa‑in lam yuṣibhā wābilun fa‑ṭallun wallāhu bi‑mā taʿmalūna baṣīrun | And the likeness of those who spend their substance, seeking
to please Allah and to strengthen their souls, is as a garden, high and
fertile: heavy rain falls on it but makes it yield a double increase of
harvest, and if it receives not Heavy rain, light moisture sufficeth it.
Allah seeth well whatever ye do.

like a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches (reach) to
the heavens,- of its Lord. So Allah sets forth parables for men, in order
that they may receive admonition.

firmly planted, and ye may have to taste the evil (consequences) of having
hindered (men) from the Path of Allah, and a Mighty Wrath descend on you.
