Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)

وَجَٰوَزْنَا  بِبَنِىٓ  إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ  ٱلْبَحْرَ  فَأَتَوْا۟  عَلَىٰ  قَوْمٍ  يَعْكُفُونَ  عَلَىٰٓ  أَصْنَامٍ  لَّهُمْ  قَالُوا۟  يَٰمُوسَى  ٱجْعَل  لَّنَآ  إِلَٰهًا  كَمَا  لَهُمْ  ءَالِهَةٌ  قَالَ  إِنَّكُمْ  قَوْمٌ  تَجْهَلُونَ wa‑jāwaznā bi‑banī isrāʾīla l‑baḥra faataw ʿalā qawmin yaʿkufūna ʿala aṣnāmin lahum qālū yā‑musā ajʿal llanā ilāhan ka‑mā lahum ālihatun qalā innakum qawmun tajhalūna
We took the Children of Israel (with safety) across the sea. They came upon a people devoted entirely to some idols they had. They said: "O Moses! fashion for us a god like unto the gods they have." He said: "Surely ye are a people without knowledge.

Surah 10 Yūnus (Jonah)
(10:90)

وَجَٰوَزْنَا  بِبَنِىٓ  إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ  ٱلْبَحْرَ  فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ  فِرْعَوْنُ  وَجُنُودُهُۥ  بَغْيًا  وَعَدْوًا  حَتَّىٰٓ  إِذَآ  أَدْرَكَهُ  ٱلْغَرَقُ  قَالَ  ءَامَنتُ  أَنَّهُۥ  لَآ  إِلَٰهَ  إِلَّا  ٱلَّذِىٓ  ءَامَنَتْ  بِهِۦ  بَنُوٓا۟  إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ  وَأَنَا۠  مِنَ  ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ wa‑jāwaznā bi‑banī isrāʾīla l‑baḥra fa‑atbaʿahum firʿawun wa‑junūduhu baghyan wa‑ʿadwan ḥatta idhā adrakahu l‑gharaqu qalā āmantu annahu ilāha illā alladhī āmanat bihi banū isrāʾīla wa‑anā mina l‑muslimīna
We took the Children of Israel across the sea: Pharaoh and his hosts followed them in insolence and spite. At length, when overwhelmed with the flood, he said: "I believe that there is no god except Him Whom the Children of Israel believe in: I am of those who submit (to Allah in Islam)."

Surah 46 al-Aḥqāf (The Sandhills)
(46:16)

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  نَتَقَبَّلُ  عَنْهُمْ  أَحْسَنَ  مَا  عَمِلُوا۟  وَنَتَجَاوَزُ  عَن  سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ  فِىٓ  أَصْحَٰبِ  ٱلْجَنَّةِ  وَعْدَ  ٱلصِّدْقِ  ٱلَّذِى  كَانُوا۟  يُوعَدُونَ ulāʾika lladhīna nataqabbalu ʿanhum aḥsana ʿamilū wa‑natajāwazu ʿan sayyiʾātihim aṣḥābi l‑jannati waʿda l‑ṣidqi alladhī kānū yūʿadūna
Such are they from whom We shall accept the best of their deeds and pass by their ill deeds: (They shall be) among the Companions of the Garden: a promise! of truth, which was made to them (in this life).
