Sura al-Baqara 2:71

قَالَ إِنَّهُۥ يَقُولُ إِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ لَّا ذَلُولٌ تُثِيرُ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَلَا تَسْقِى ٱلْحَرْثَ مُسَلَّمَةٌ لَّا شِيَةَ فِيهَا قَالُوا۟ ٱلْـَٰٔنَ جِئْتَ بِٱلْحَقِّ فَذَبَحُوهَا وَمَا كَادُوا۟ يَفْعَلُونَ

qalā innahu yaqūlu innahā baqaratun lā dhalūlun tuthīru l-arḍa wa-lā tasqī l-ḥartha musallamatun lā shiyata fīhā qālū l-ana jiʾta bil-ḥaqqi fa-dhabaḥūhā wa-mā kādū yafʿalūna

He said: "He says: A heifer not trained to till the soil or water the fields; sound and without blemish." They said: "Now hast thou brought the truth." Then they offered her in sacrifice, but not with good-will.

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:110

إِذْ قَالَ ٱللَّـهُ يَٰعِيسَى ٱبْنَ مَرْيَمَ ٱذْكُرْ نِعْمَتِى عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَتِكَ إِذْ أَيَّدتُّكَ بِرُوحِ ٱلْقُدُسِ تُكَلِّمُ ٱلنَّاسَ فِى ٱلْمَهْدِ وَكَهْلًا وَإِذْ عَلَّمْتُكَ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَ وَٱلْإِنجِيلَ وَإِذْ تَخْلُقُ مِنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيْـَٔةِ ٱلطَّيْرِ بِإِذْنِى فَتَنفُخُ فِيهَا فَتَكُونُ طَيْرًۢا بِإِذْنِى وَتُبْرِئُ ٱلْأَكْمَهَ وَٱلْأَبْرَصَ بِإِذْنِى وَإِذْ تُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ بِإِذْنِى وَإِذْ كَفَفْتُ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ عَنكَ إِذْ جِئْتَهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ

idh qalā allāhu yā-ʿīsā ibna maryama adhkur niʿmatī ʿalayka wa-ʿalā wālidatika idh ayyadttuka bi-rūḥi l-qudusi tukallimu l-nāsa fī l-mahdi wa-kahlan wa-idh ʿallamtuka l-kitāba wa-l-ḥikmata wa-l-tawrata wa-l-injīla wa-idh takhluqu mina l-ṭīni kahayati l-ṭayri bi-idhnī fa-tanfukhu fīhā fa-takūnu ṭayran bi-idhnī wa-tubriʾu l-akmaha wa-l-abraṣa bi-idhnī wa-idh tukhriju l-mawtā bi-idhnī wa-idh kafaftu banī isrāʾīla ʿanka idh jiʾtahum bil-bayyināti fa-qāla lladhīna kafarū minhum in hādhā illā siḥrun mubīnun

Then will Allah say: "O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favour to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel and behold! thou makest out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breathest into it and it becometh a bird by My leave, and thou healest those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! thou bringest forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the clear Signs, and the unbelievers among them said: 'This is nothing but evident magic.'

Sura al-Anʿām 6:94

وَلَقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا فُرَٰدَىٰ كَمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَتَرَكْتُم مَّا خَوَّلْنَٰكُمْ وَرَآءَ ظُهُورِكُمْ وَمَا نَرَىٰ مَعَكُمْ شُفَعَآءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّهُمْ فِيكُمْ شُرَكَٰٓؤُا۟ لَقَد تَّقَطَّعَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنكُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ

wa-la-qad jiʾtumūnā furāda ka-mā khalaqnākum awwala marratin wa-taraktum mā khawwalnākum wa-rāʾa ẓuhūrikum wa-mā narā maʿakum shufaʿāʾakumu lladhīna zaʿamtum annahum fīkum shurakāʾu laqad taqaṭṭaʿa baynakum wa-ḍalla ʿankum mā kuntum tazʿumūna

"And behold! ye come to us bare and alone as We created you for the first time: ye have left behind you all (the favours) which We bestowed on you: We see not with you your intercessors whom ye thought to be partners in your affairs: so now all relations between you have been cut off, and your (pet) fancies have left you in the lurch!"

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:70

قَالُوٓا۟ أَجِئْتَنَا لِنَعْبُدَ ٱللَّـهَ وَحْدَهُۥ وَنَذَرَ مَا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ ءَابَآؤُنَا فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

qālū a-jiʾtanā li-naʿbuda allāha waḥdahu wa-nadhara mā kāna yaʿbudu ābāʾunā fa-ʾtinā bi-mā taʿidunā in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīna

They said: "Comest thou to us, that we may worship Allah alone, and give up the cult of our fathers? bring us what thou threatenest us with, if so be that thou tellest the truth!"

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:106

قَالَ إِن كُنتَ جِئْتَ بِـَٔايَةٍ فَأْتِ بِهَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

qalā in kunta jiʾta bi-āyatin fa-ʾti bihā in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīna

(Pharaoh) said: "If indeed thou hast come with a Sign, show it forth,- if thou tellest the truth."

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:129

قَالُوٓا۟ أُوذِينَا مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَأْتِيَنَا وَمِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جِئْتَنَا قَالَ عَسَىٰ رَبُّكُمْ أَن يُهْلِكَ عَدُوَّكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفَكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرَ كَيْفَ تَعْمَلُونَ

qālū ūdhīnā min qabli an tatīanā wa-min baʿdi mā jitanā qalā ʿasā rabbukum an yuhlika ʿadūwakum wa-yastakhlifakum fī l-arḍi fa-yanẓura kayfa taʿmalūna

They said: "We have had (nothing but) trouble, both before and after thou camest to us." He said: "It may be that your Lord will destroy your enemy and make you inheritors in the earth; that so He may try you by your deeds."

Sura Yūnus 10:78

قَالُوٓا۟ أَجِئْتَنَا لِتَلْفِتَنَا عَمَّا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ ءَابَآءَنَا وَتَكُونَ لَكُمَا ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكُمَا بِمُؤْمِنِينَ

qālū a-jiʾtanā litalfitanā ʿammā wajadnā ʿalayhi ābāʾanā wa-takūna lakumā l-kibriyāʾu fī l-arḍi wa-mā naḥnu lakumā bi-mūʾminīna

They said: "Hast thou come to us to turn us away from the ways we found our fathers following,- in order that thou and thy brother may have greatness in the land? But not we shall believe in you!"

Sura Yūnus 10:81

فَلَمَّآ أَلْقَوْا۟ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ مَا جِئْتُم بِهِ ٱلسِّحْرُ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ سَيُبْطِلُهُۥٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

fa-lammā alqaw qalā mūsā mā jitum bihi l-siḥru inna allāha sayubṭiluhu inna allāha lā yuṣliḥu ʿamala l-mufsidīna

When they had had their throw, Moses said: "What ye have brought is sorcery: Allah will surely make it of no effect: for Allah prospereth not the work of those who make mischief.

Sura Hūd 11:53

قَالُوا۟ يَٰهُودُ مَا جِئْتَنَا بِبَيِّنَةٍ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَارِكِىٓ ءَالِهَتِنَا عَن قَوْلِكَ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ

qālū yāhūdu mā jitanā bi-bayyinatin wa-mā naḥnu bi-tārikī ālihatinā ʿan qawlika wa-mā naḥnu la-ka bi-mūʾminīna

They said: "O Hud! No Clear (Sign) that hast thou brought us, and we are not the ones to desert our gods on thy word! Nor shall we believe in thee!

Sura al-Kahf 18:48

وَعُرِضُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ صَفًّا لَّقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا كَمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۭ بَلْ زَعَمْتُمْ أَلَّن نَّجْعَلَ لَكُم مَّوْعِدًا

wa-ʿuriḍū ʿalā rabbika ṣaffan llaqad jiʾtumūnā ka-mā khalaqnākum awwala marratin bal zaʿamtum allan nnajʿala la-kum mawʿidan

And they will be marshalled before thy Lord in ranks, (with the announcement), "Now have ye come to Us (bare) as We created you first: aye, ye thought We shall not fulfil the appointment made to you to meet (Us)!":

Sura al-Kahf 18:71

فَٱنطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَكِبَا فِى ٱلسَّفِينَةِ خَرَقَهَا قَالَ أَخَرَقْتَهَا لِتُغْرِقَ أَهْلَهَا لَقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْـًٔا إِمْرًا

fa-inṭalaqā ḥatta idhā rakibā fī l-safīnati kharaqahā qalā akharaqtahā litughriqa ahlahā la-qad jiʾta shayʾan imran

So they both proceeded: until, when they were in the boat, he scuttled it. Said Moses: "Hast thou scuttled it in order to drown those in it? Truly a strange thing hast thou done!"

Sura al-Kahf 18:74

فَٱنطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا لَقِيَا غُلَٰمًا فَقَتَلَهُۥ قَالَ أَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا زَكِيَّةًۢ بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ لَّقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْـًٔا نُّكْرًا

fa-inṭalaqā ḥatta idhā laqīā ghulāman faqatalahu qalā aqatalta nafsan zakīyatan bi-ghayri nafsin llaqad jiʾta shayʾan nnukran

Then they proceeded: until, when they met a young man, he slew him. Moses said: "Hast thou slain an innocent person who had slain none? Truly a foul (unheard of) thing hast thou done!"

Sura Maryam 19:27

فَأَتَتْ بِهِۦ قَوْمَهَا تَحْمِلُهُۥ قَالُوا۟ يَٰمَرْيَمُ لَقَدْ جِئْتِ شَيْـًٔا فَرِيًّا

fa-atat bihi qawmahā taḥmiluhu qālū yā-maryamu la-qad jiʾti shayʾan fariyyan

At length she brought the (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: "O Mary! truly an amazing thing hast thou brought!

Sura Maryam 19:89

لَّقَدْ جِئْتُمْ شَيْـًٔا إِدًّا

llaqad jiʾtum shayʾan iddan

Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous!

Sura Ṭā Hā 20:40

إِذْ تَمْشِىٓ أُخْتُكَ فَتَقُولُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن يَكْفُلُهُۥ فَرَجَعْنَٰكَ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّكَ كَىْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلَا تَحْزَنَ وَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا فَنَجَّيْنَٰكَ مِنَ ٱلْغَمِّ وَفَتَنَّٰكَ فُتُونًا فَلَبِثْتَ سِنِينَ فِىٓ أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ ثُمَّ جِئْتَ عَلَىٰ قَدَرٍ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

idh tamshī ukhtuka fa-taqūlu hal adullukum ʿalā man yakfuluhu farajaʿnāka ila ummika kay taqarra ʿaynuhā wa-lā taḥzana wa-qatalta nafsan fa-najjaynāka mina l-ghammi wa-fatannāka futūnan fa-labithta sinīna fī ahli madyana thumma jiʾta ʿalā qadarin yā-mūsā

"Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses!

Sura Ṭā Hā 20:57

قَالَ أَجِئْتَنَا لِتُخْرِجَنَا مِنْ أَرْضِنَا بِسِحْرِكَ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

qalā a-jiʾtanā li-tukhrijanā min arḍinā bi-siḥrika yā-mūsā

He said: "Hast thou come to drive us out of our land with thy magic, O Moses?

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:55

قَالُوٓا۟ أَجِئْتَنَا بِٱلْحَقِّ أَمْ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱللَّٰعِبِينَ

qālū a-jiʾtanā bil-ḥaqqi am anta mina l-lāʿibīna

They said, "Have you brought us the Truth, or are you one of those who jest?"

Sura al-Rūm 30:58

وَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِى هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ وَلَئِن جِئْتَهُم بِـَٔايَةٍ لَّيَقُولَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُبْطِلُونَ

wa-la-qad ḍarabnā lil-nāsi fī hādhā l-qurʾāni min kulli mathalin wa-laʾin jiʾtahum bi-āyatin la-yaqūlanna lladhīna kafarū in antum illā mubṭilūna

verily We have propounded for men, in this Qur'an every kind of Parable: But if thou bring to them any Sign, the Unbelievers are sure to say, "Ye do nothing but talk vanities."

Sura al-Aḥqāf 46:22

قَالُوٓا۟ أَجِئْتَنَا لِتَأْفِكَنَا عَنْ ءَالِهَتِنَا فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَآ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

qālū a-jiʾtanā li-taʾfikanā ʿan ālihatinā fa-ʾtinā bi-mā taʿidunā in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīna

They said: "Hast thou come in order to turn us aside from our gods? Then bring upon us the (calamity) with which thou dost threaten us, if thou art telling the truth?"
