Sura al-Māʾidah 5:87

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُحَرِّمُوا۟ طَيِّبَٰتِ مَآ أَحَلَّ ٱللَّـهُ لَكُمْ وَلَا تَعْتَدُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُعْتَدِينَ

yā-ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū lā tuḥarrimū ṭayyibāti mā aḥalla allāhu la-kum wa-lā taʿtadū inna allāha lā yuḥibbu l-muʿtadīna

O ye who believe! make not unlawful the good things which Allah hath made lawful for you, but commit no excess: for Allah loveth not those given to excess.

Sura al-Taḥrīm 66:1

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ لِمَ تُحَرِّمُ مَآ أَحَلَّ ٱللَّـهُ لَكَ تَبْتَغِى مَرْضَاتَ أَزْوَٰجِكَ وَٱللَّـهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

yā-ayyuhā l-nabiyyu lima tuḥarrimu mā aḥalla allāhu la-ka tabtaghī marḍāta azwājika wallāhu ghafūrun raḥīmun

O Prophet! Why holdest thou to be forbidden that which Allah has made lawful to thee? Thou seekest to please thy consorts. But Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
