O ye who believe! make not unlawful the good things which Allah hath made lawful for you, but commit no excess: for Allah loveth not those given to excess.

Surah 6 al-Anʿām (The Cattle)

قَدْ  خَسِرَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  قَتَلُوٓا۟  أَوْلَٰدَهُمْ  سَفَهًۢا  بِغَيْرِ  عِلْمٍ  وَحَرَّمُوا۟  مَا  رَزَقَهُمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  ٱفْتِرَآءً  عَلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  قَدْ  ضَلُّوا۟  وَمَا  كَانُوا۟  مُهْتَدِينَ qad khasira lladhīna qatalū awlādahum safahan bi‑ghayri ʿilmin wa‑ḥarramū razaqahumu allāhu iftirāʾan ʿalā allāhi qad ḍallū wa‑mā kānū muhtadīna
Lost are those who slay their children, from folly, without knowledge, and forbid food which Allah hath provided for them, inventing (lies) against Allah. They have indeed gone astray and heeded no guidance.
(6:146)

For those who followed the Jewish Law, We forbade every (animal) with undivided hoof, and We forbade them that fat of the ox and the sheep, except what adheres to their backs or their entrails, or is mixed up with a bone: this in recompense for their wilful disobedience: for We are true (in Our ordinances).
(6:148)

سَيَقُولُ  ٱلَّذِينَ  أَشْرَكُوا۟  لَوْ  شَآءَ  ٱللَّـهُ  مَآ  أَشْرَكْنَا  وَلَآ  ءَابَآؤُنَا  وَلَا  حَرَّمْنَا  مِن  شَىْءٍ  كَذَٰلِكَ  كَذَّبَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  مِن  قَبْلِهِمْ  حَتَّىٰ  ذَاقُوا۟  بَأْسَنَا  قُلْ  هَلْ  عِندَكُم  مِّنْ  عِلْمٍ  فَتُخْرِجُوهُ  لَنَآ  إِن  تَتَّبِعُونَ  إِلَّا  ٱلظَّنَّ  وَإِنْ  أَنتُمْ  إِلَّا  تَخْرُصُونَ sa‑yaqūlu lladhīna ashrakū law shāʾa allāhu ashraknā wa‑lā ābāʾunā wa‑lā ḥarramnā min shayʾin ka‑dhālika kadhdhaba lladhīna min qablihim ḥattā dhāqū baʾsanā qul hal ʿindakum min ʿilmin fa‑tukhrijūhu lanā in tattabiʿūna illā l‑ẓanna wa‑in antum illā takhruṣūna
Those who give partners (to Allah) will say: "If Allah had wished, we should not have given partners to Him nor would our fathers; nor should we have had any taboos." So did their ancestors argue falsely, until they tasted of Our wrath. Say: "Have ye any (certain) knowledge? If so, produce it before us. Ye follow nothing but conjecture: ye do nothing but lie."

Surah 9 al-Tawbah (Repentance)
(9:29)

قَٰتِلُوا۟  ٱلَّذِينَ  لَا  يُؤْمِنُونَ  بِٱللَّـهِ  وَلَا  بِٱلْيَوْمِ  ٱلْأَخِرِ  وَلَا  يُحَرِّمُونَ  مَا  حَرَّمَ  ٱللَّـهُ  وَرَسُولُهُۥ  وَلَا  يَدِينُونَ  دِينَ  ٱلْحَقِّ  مِنَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  أُوتُوا۟  ٱلْكِتَٰبَ  حَتَّىٰ  يُعْطُوا۟  ٱلْجِزْيَةَ  عَن  يَدٍ  وَهُمْ  صَٰغِرُونَ qātilū lladhīna yuʾminūna billāhi wa‑lā bil‑yawmi l‑akhiri wa‑lā yuḥarrimūna ḥarrama allāhu wa‑rasūluhu wa‑lā yadīnūna dīna l‑ḥaqqi mina lladhīna ūtū l‑kitāba ḥattā yuʿṭū l‑jizyata ʿan yadin wa‑hum ṣāghirūna
Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
(9:37)

إِنَّمَا  ٱلنَّسِىٓءُ  زِيَادَةٌ  فِى  ٱلْكُفْرِ  يُضَلُّ  بِهِ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  يُحِلُّونَهُۥ  عَامًا  وَيُحَرِّمُونَهُۥ  عَامًا  لِّيُوَاطِـُٔوا۟  عِدَّةَ  مَا  حَرَّمَ  ٱللَّـهُ  فَيُحِلُّوا۟  مَا  حَرَّمَ  ٱللَّـهُ  زُيِّنَ  لَهُمْ  سُوٓءُ  أَعْمَٰلِهِمْ  وَٱللَّـهُ  لَا  يَهْدِى  ٱلْقَوْمَ  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ innamā l‑nasīu ziyādatun l‑kufri yuḍallu bihi lladhīna kafarū yuḥillūnahu ʿāman wa‑yuḥarrimūnahu ʿāman li‑yuwāṭiʾū ʿiddata ḥarrama allāhu fa‑yuḥillū ḥarrama allāhu zuyyina lahum sūu aʿmālihim wallāhu yahdī l‑qawma l‑kāfirīna
Verily the transposing (of a prohibited month) is an addition to Unbelief: the Unbelievers are led to wrong thereby: for they make it lawful one year, and forbidden another year, in order to adjust the number of months forbidden by Allah and make such forbidden ones lawful. The evil of their course seems pleasing to them. But Allah guideth not those who reject Faith.

Surah 16 al-Naḥl (The Bee)
(16:35)

وَقَالَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  أَشْرَكُوا۟  لَوْ  شَآءَ  ٱللَّـهُ  مَا  عَبَدْنَا  مِن  دُونِهِۦ  مِن  شَىْءٍ  نَّحْنُ  وَلَآ  ءَابَآؤُنَا  وَلَا  حَرَّمْنَا  مِن  دُونِهِۦ  مِن  شَىْءٍ  كَذَٰلِكَ  فَعَلَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  مِن  قَبْلِهِمْ  فَهَلْ  عَلَى  ٱلرُّسُلِ  إِلَّا  ٱلْبَلَٰغُ  ٱلْمُبِينُ wa‑qāla lladhīna ashrakū law shāʾa allāhu ʿabadnā min dūnihi min shayʾin nnaḥnu wa‑lā ābāʾunā wa‑lā ḥarramnā min dūnihi min shayʾin ka‑dhālika faʿala lladhīna min qablihim fa‑hal ʿalā l‑rusuli illā l‑balāghu l‑mubīnu
The worshippers of false gods say: "If Allah had so willed, we should not have worshipped aught but Him - neither we nor our fathers,- nor should we have prescribed prohibitions other than His." So did those who went before them. But what is the mission of messengers but to preach the Clear Message?
(16:118)

To the Jews We prohibited such things as We have mentioned to thee before: We did them no wrong, but they were used to doing wrong to themselves.

Surah 28 al-Qaṣaṣ (The Narrative)
(28:12)

وَحَرَّمْنَا  عَلَيْهِ  ٱلْمَرَاضِعَ  مِن  قَبْلُ  فَقَالَتْ  هَلْ  أَدُلُّكُمْ  عَلَىٰٓ  أَهْلِ  بَيْتٍ  يَكْفُلُونَهُۥ  لَكُمْ  وَهُمْ  لَهُۥ  نَٰصِحُونَ wa‑ḥarramnā ʿalayhi l‑marāḍiʿa min qablu faqālat hal adullukum ʿala ahli baytin yakfulūnahu la‑kum wa‑hum lahu nāṣiḥūna
And we ordained that he refused suck at first, until (His sister came up and) said: "Shall I point out to you the people of a house that will nourish and bring him up for you and be sincerely attached to him?"...
