Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:176

وَلَا يَحْزُنكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْكُفْرِ إِنَّهُمْ لَن يَضُرُّوا۟ ٱللَّـهَ شَيْـًٔا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّـهُ أَلَّا يَجْعَلَ لَهُمْ حَظًّا فِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

wa-lā yaḥzunka lladhīna yusāriʿūna fī l-kufri innahum lan yaḍurrū allāha shayʾan yurīdu allāhu allā yajʿala lahum ḥaẓẓan fī l-akhirati wa-lahum ʿadhābun ʿaẓīmun

Let not those grieve thee who rush headlong into Unbelief: Not the least harm will they do to Allah: Allah's plan is that He will give them no portion in the Hereafter, but a severe punishment.

Sura al-Māʾidah 5:41

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ لَا يَحْزُنكَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُسَٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْكُفْرِ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِن قُلُوبُهُمْ وَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ سَمَّٰعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ سَمَّٰعُونَ لِقَوْمٍ ءَاخَرِينَ لَمْ يَأْتُوكَ يُحَرِّفُونَ ٱلْكَلِمَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَوَاضِعِهِۦ يَقُولُونَ إِنْ أُوتِيتُمْ هَٰذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَإِن لَّمْ تُؤْتَوْهُ فَٱحْذَرُوا۟ وَمَن يُرِدِ ٱللَّـهُ فِتْنَتَهُۥ فَلَن تَمْلِكَ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱللَّـهِ شَيْـًٔا أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يُرِدِ ٱللَّـهُ أَن يُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمْ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

yā-ayyuhā l-rasūlu lā yaḥzunka lladhīna yusāriʿūna fī l-kufri mina lladhīna qālū āmannā bi-afwāhihim wa-lam tuʾmin qulūbuhum wa-mina lladhīna hādū sammāʿūna lil-kadhibi sammāʿūna li-qawmin ākharīna lam yaʾtūka yuḥarrifūna l-kalima min baʿdi mawāḍiʿihi yaqūlūna in ūtītum hādhā fakhudhūhu wa-in lam tutawhu faḥdharū wa-man yuridi allāhu fitnatahu fa-lan tamlika lahu mina allāhi shayʾan ulāʾika lladhīna lam yuridi allāhu an yuṭahhira qulūbahum lahum fī l-dunyā khizun wa-lahum fī l-akhirati ʿadhābun ʿaẓīmun

O Messenger! let not those grieve thee, who race each other into unbelief: (whether it be) among those who say "We believe" with their lips but whose hearts have no faith; or it be among the Jews,- men who will listen to any lie,- will listen even to others who have never so much as come to thee. They change the words from their (right) times and places: they say, "If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware!" If any one's trial is intended by Allah, thou hast no authority in the least for him against Allah. For such - it is not Allah's will to purify their hearts. For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a heavy punishment.

Sura al-Anʿām 6:33

قَدْ نَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُۥ لَيَحْزُنُكَ ٱلَّذِى يَقُولُونَ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَا يُكَذِّبُونَكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّـهِ يَجْحَدُونَ

qad naʿlamu innahu layaḥzunuka alladhī yaqūlūna fainnahum lā yukadhdhibūnaka wa-lākinna l-ẓālimīna bi-āyāti allāhi yajḥadūna

We know indeed the grief which their words do cause thee: It is not thee they reject: it is the signs of Allah, which the wicked contemn.

Sura al-Tawbah 9:40

إِلَّا تَنصُرُوهُ فَقَدْ نَصَرَهُ ٱللَّـهُ إِذْ أَخْرَجَهُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ثَانِىَ ٱثْنَيْنِ إِذْ هُمَا فِى ٱلْغَارِ إِذْ يَقُولُ لِصَٰحِبِهِۦ لَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ مَعَنَا فَأَنزَلَ ٱللَّـهُ سَكِينَتَهُۥ عَلَيْهِ وَأَيَّدَهُۥ بِجُنُودٍ لَّمْ تَرَوْهَا وَجَعَلَ كَلِمَةَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱلسُّفْلَىٰ وَكَلِمَةُ ٱللَّـهِ هِىَ ٱلْعُلْيَا وَٱللَّـهُ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ

illā tanṣurūhu fa-qad naṣarahu allāhu idh akhrajahu lladhīna kafarū thāniya ithnayni idh humā fī l-ghāri idh yaqūlu li-ṣāḥibihi lā taḥzan inna allāha maʿanā fa-anzala allāhu sakīnatahu ʿalayhi wa-ayyadahu bi-junūdin lam tarawhā wa-jaʿala kalimata lladhīna kafarū l-suflā wa-kalimatu allāhi hiya l-ʿulyā wallāhu ʿazīzun ḥakīmun

If ye help not (your leader), (it is no matter): for Allah did indeed help him, when the Unbelievers drove him out: he had no more than one companion; they two were in the cave, and he said to his companion, "Have no fear, for Allah is with us": then Allah sent down His peace upon him, and strengthened him with forces which ye saw not, and humbled to the depths the word of the Unbelievers. But the word of Allah is exalted to the heights: for Allah is Exalted in might, Wise.

Sura Yūnus 10:65

وَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ إِنَّ ٱلْعِزَّةَ لِلَّـهِ جَمِيعًا هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

wa-lā yaḥzunka qawluhum inna l-ʿizzata lillāhi jamīʿan huwa l-samīʿu l-ʿalīmu

Let not their speech grieve thee: for all power and honour belong to Allah: It is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things).

Sura Yūsuf 12:13

قَالَ إِنِّى لَيَحْزُنُنِىٓ أَن تَذْهَبُوا۟ بِهِۦ وَأَخَافُ أَن يَأْكُلَهُ ٱلذِّئْبُ وَأَنتُمْ عَنْهُ غَٰفِلُونَ

qalā innī layaḥzununī an tadhhabū bihi wa-akhāfu an yakulahu l-dhiʾbu wa-antum ʿanhu ghāfilūna

(Jacob) said: "Really it saddens me that ye should take him away: I fear lest the wolf should devour him while ye attend not to him."

Sura al-Ḥijr 15:88

لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِۦٓ أَزْوَٰجًا مِّنْهُمْ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَٱخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

lā tamuddanna ʿaynayka ilā mā mattaʿnā bihi azwājan minhum wa-lā taḥzan ʿalayhim wa-ikhfiḍ janāḥaka lil-muʾminīna

Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers.

Sura al-Naḥl 16:127

وَٱصْبِرْ وَمَا صَبْرُكَ إِلَّا بِٱللَّـهِ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا تَكُ فِى ضَيْقٍ مِّمَّا يَمْكُرُونَ

wa-iṣbir wa-mā ṣabruka illā billāhi wa-lā taḥzan ʿalayhim wa-lā taku fī ḍayqin mimmā yamkurūna

And do thou be patient, for thy patience is but from Allah; nor grieve over them: and distress not thyself because of their plots.

Sura Maryam 19:24

فَنَادَىٰهَا مِن تَحْتِهَآ أَلَّا تَحْزَنِى قَدْ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحْتَكِ سَرِيًّا

fanādahā min taḥtihā allā taḥzanī qad jaʿala rabbuki taḥtaki sariyyan

But (a voice) cried to her from beneath the (palm-tree): "Grieve not! for thy Lord hath provided a rivulet beneath thee;

Sura Ṭā Hā 20:40

إِذْ تَمْشِىٓ أُخْتُكَ فَتَقُولُ هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن يَكْفُلُهُۥ فَرَجَعْنَٰكَ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّكَ كَىْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلَا تَحْزَنَ وَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا فَنَجَّيْنَٰكَ مِنَ ٱلْغَمِّ وَفَتَنَّٰكَ فُتُونًا فَلَبِثْتَ سِنِينَ فِىٓ أَهْلِ مَدْيَنَ ثُمَّ جِئْتَ عَلَىٰ قَدَرٍ يَٰمُوسَىٰ

idh tamshī ukhtuka fa-taqūlu hal adullukum ʿalā man yakfuluhu farajaʿnāka ila ummika kay taqarra ʿaynuhā wa-lā taḥzana wa-qatalta nafsan fa-najjaynāka mina l-ghammi wa-fatannāka futūnan fa-labithta sinīna fī ahli madyana thumma jiʾta ʿalā qadarin yā-mūsā

"Behold! thy sister goeth forth and saith, 'shall I show you one who will nurse and rear the (child)?' So We brought thee back to thy mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve. Then thou didst slay a man, but We saved thee from trouble, and We tried thee in various ways. Then didst thou tarry a number of years with the people of Midian. Then didst thou come hither as ordained, O Moses!

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:103

لَا يَحْزُنُهُمُ ٱلْفَزَعُ ٱلْأَكْبَرُ وَتَتَلَقَّىٰهُمُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ هَٰذَا يَوْمُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ

lā yaḥzunuhumu l-fazaʿu l-akbaru wa-tatalaqqahumu l-malāʾikatu hādhā yawmukumu alladhī kuntum tūʿadūna

The Great Terror will bring them no grief: but the angels will meet them (with mutual greetings): "This is your Day,- (the Day) that ye were promised."

Sura al-Naml 27:70

وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا تَكُن فِى ضَيْقٍ مِّمَّا يَمْكُرُونَ

wa-lā taḥzan ʿalayhim wa-lā takun fī ḍayqin mimmā yamkurūna

But grieve not over them, nor distress thyself because of their plots.

Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:7

وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَرْضِعِيهِ فَإِذَا خِفْتِ عَلَيْهِ فَأَلْقِيهِ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَلَا تَخَافِى وَلَا تَحْزَنِىٓ إِنَّا رَآدُّوهُ إِلَيْكِ وَجَاعِلُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

wa-awḥaynā ila ummi mūsā an arḍiʿīhi fa-idhā khifti ʿalayhi fa-alqīhi fī l-yammi wa-lā takhāfī wa-lā taḥzanī innā rāddūhu ilayki wa-jāʿilūhu mina l-mursalīna

So We sent this inspiration to the mother of Moses: "Suckle (thy child), but when thou hast fears about him, cast him into the river, but fear not nor grieve: for We shall restore him to thee, and We shall make him one of Our messengers."

Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:13

فَرَدَدْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰٓ أُمِّهِۦ كَىْ تَقَرَّ عَيْنُهَا وَلَا تَحْزَنَ وَلِتَعْلَمَ أَنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّـهِ حَقٌّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

fa-radadnāhu ila ummihi kay taqarra ʿaynuhā wa-lā taḥzana wa-litaʿlama annā waʿda allāhi ḥaqqun wa-lākinna aktharahum lā yaʿlamūna

Thus did We restore him to his mother, that her eye might be comforted, that she might not grieve, and that she might know that the promise of Allah is true: but most of them do not understand.

Sura al-ʿAnkabūt 29:33

وَلَمَّآ أَن جَآءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوطًا سِىٓءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَقَالُوا۟ لَا تَخَفْ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ إِنَّا مُنَجُّوكَ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا ٱمْرَأَتَكَ كَانَتْ مِنَ ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ

wa-lammā an jāʾat rusulunā lūṭan sīʾa bihim wa-ḍāqa bihim dharʿan wa-qālū lā takhaf wa-lā taḥzan innā munajjūka wa-ahlaka illā imraʾataka kānat mina l-ghābirīna

And when Our Messengers came to Lut, he was grieved on their account, and felt himself powerless (to protect) them: but they said: "Fear thou not, nor grieve: we are (here) to save thee and thy following, except thy wife: she is of those who lag behind.

Sura Luqmān 31:23

وَمَن كَفَرَ فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ كُفْرُهُۥٓ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُهُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا عَمِلُوٓا۟ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

wa-man kafara fa-lā yaḥzunka kufruhu ilaynā marjiʿuhum fa-nunabbiʾuhum bi-mā ʿamilū inna allāha ʿalīmun bi-dhāti l-ṣudūri

But if any reject Faith, let not his rejection grieve thee: to Us is their return, and We shall tell them the truth of their deeds: for Allah knows well all that is in (men's) hearts.

Sura Yā Sin 36:76

فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ إِنَّا نَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ

fa-lā yaḥzunka qawluhum innā naʿlamu mā yusirrūna wa-mā yuʿlinūna

Let not their speech, then, grieve thee. Verily We know what they hide as well as what they disclose.

Sura al-Mujādilah 58:10

إِنَّمَا ٱلنَّجْوَىٰ مِنَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ لِيَحْزُنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَلَيْسَ بِضَآرِّهِمْ شَيْـًٔا إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّـهِ وَعَلَى ٱللَّـهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ

innamā l-najwā mina l-shayṭāni līaḥzuna lladhīna āmanū wa-laysa biḍārrihim shayʾan illā bi-idhni allāhi wa-ʿala allāhi fa-l-yatawakkali l-muʾminūna

Secret counsels are only (inspired) by the Evil One, in order that he may cause grief to the Believers; but he cannot harm them in the least, except as Allah permits; and on Allah let the Believers put their trust.
