RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(5:107)

فَإِنْ  عُثِرَ  عَلَىٰٓ  أَنَّهُمَا  ٱسْتَحَقَّآ  إِثْمًا  فَـَٔاخَرَانِ  يَقُومَانِ  مَقَامَهُمَا  مِنَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  ٱسْتَحَقَّ  عَلَيْهِمُ  ٱلْأَوْلَيَٰنِ  فَيُقْسِمَانِ  بِٱللَّـهِ  لَشَهَٰدَتُنَآ  أَحَقُّ  مِن  شَهَٰدَتِهِمَا  وَمَا  ٱعْتَدَيْنَآ  إِنَّآ  إِذًا  لَّمِنَ  ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ fa‑in ʿuthira ʿala annahumā astaḥaqqā ithman fa‑ākharāni yaqūmāni maqāmahumā mina lladhīna istaḥaqqa ʿalayhimu l‑awlayāni fa‑yuqsimāni billāhi la‑shahādatunā aḥaqqu min shahādatihimā wa‑mā aʿtadaynā innā idhan la‑mina l‑ẓālimīna
But if it gets known that these two were guilty of the sin (of perjury), let two others stand forth in their places,- nearest in kin from among those who claim a lawful right: let them swear by Allah: "We affirm that our witness is truer than that of those two, and that we have not trespassed (beyond the truth): if we did, behold! the wrong be upon us!"

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:30)

فَرِيقًا  هَدَىٰ  وَفَرِيقًا  حَقَّ  عَلَيْهِمُ  ٱلضَّلَٰلَةُ  إِنَّهُمُ  ٱتَّخَذُوا۟  ٱلشَّيَٰطِينَ  أَوْلِيَآءَ  مِن  دُونِ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَيَحْسَبُونَ  أَنَّهُم  مُّهْتَدُونَ farīqan hada wa‑farīqan ḥaqqa ʿalayhimu l‑ḍalālatu innahumu ittakhadhū l‑shayāṭīna awliyāʾa min dūni allāhi wa‑yaḥsabūna annahum muhtadūna
Some He hath guided: Others have (by their choice) deserved the loss of their way; in that they took the evil ones, in preference to Allah, for their friends and protectors, and think that they receive guidance.

Surah 8 al-Anfāl (The Spoils of War)
(8:7)

وَإِذْ  يَعِدُكُمُ  ٱللَّـهُ  إِحْدَى  ٱلطَّآئِفَتَيْنِ  أَنَّهَا  لَكُمْ  وَتَوَدُّونَ  أَنَّ  غَيْرَ  ذَاتِ  ٱلشَّوْكَةِ  تَكُونُ  لَكُمْ  وَيُرِيدُ  ٱللَّـهُ  أَن  يُحِقَّ  ٱلْحَقَّ  بِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦ  وَيَقْطَعَ  دَابِرَ  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ wa‑idh yaʿidukumu allāhu iḥda l‑ṭāʾifatayni annahā la‑kum wa‑tawaddūna annā ghayra dhāti l‑shawkati takūnu la‑kum wa‑yurīdu allāhu an yuḥiqqa l‑ḥaqqa bi‑kalimātihi wa‑yaqṭaʿa dābira l‑kāfirīna
Behold! Allah promised you one of the two (enemy) parties, that it should be yours: Ye wished that the one unarmed should be yours, but Allah willed to justify the Truth according to His words and to cut off the roots of the Unbelievers;-
(8:8)

That He might justify Truth and prove Falsehood false, distasteful though it be to those in guilt.

Surah 10 Yūnus (Jonah)
(10:33)

Thus is the word of thy Lord proved true against those who rebel: Verily they will not believe.
(10:82)

(16:36)

وَلَقَدْ  بَعَثْنَا  فِى  كُلِّ  أُمَّةٍ  رَّسُولًا  أَنِ  ٱعْبُدُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  وَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟  ٱلطَّٰغُوتَ  فَمِنْهُم  مَّنْ  هَدَى  ٱللَّـهُ  وَمِنْهُم  مَّنْ  حَقَّتْ  عَلَيْهِ  ٱلضَّلَٰلَةُ  فَسِيرُوا۟  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  فَٱنظُرُوا۟  كَيْفَ  كَانَ  عَٰقِبَةُ  ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ wa‑la‑qad baʿathnā kulli ummatin rrasūlan ani iʿbudū allāha wa‑ijtanibū l‑ṭāghūta fa‑minhum man hadā allāhu wa‑minhum man ḥaqqat ʿalayhi l‑ḍalālatu fa‑sīrū l‑arḍi fa‑inẓurū kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu l‑mukadhdhibīna
For We assuredly sent amongst every People a messenger, (with the Command), "Serve Allah, and eschew Evil": of the People were some whom Allah guided, and some on whom error became inevitably (established). So travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who denied (the Truth).

Surah 17 al-Isrāʾ (The Children of Israel)
(17:16)

وَإِذَآ  أَرَدْنَآ  أَن  نُّهْلِكَ  قَرْيَةً  أَمَرْنَا  مُتْرَفِيهَا  فَفَسَقُوا۟  فِيهَا  فَحَقَّ  عَلَيْهَا  ٱلْقَوْلُ  فَدَمَّرْنَٰهَا  تَدْمِيرًا wa‑idhā aradnā an nnuhlika qaryatan amarnā mutrafīhā fa‑fasaqū fīhā fa‑ḥaqqa ʿalayhā l‑qawlu fa‑dammarnāhā tadmīran
When We decide to destroy a population, We (first) send a definite order to those among them who are given the good things of this life and yet transgress; so that the word is proved true against them: then (it is) We destroy them utterly.

Surah 22 al-Ḥajj (The Pilgrimage)
(22:18)

أَلَمْ  تَرَ  أَنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  يَسْجُدُ  لَهُۥ  مَن  فِى  ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ  وَمَن  فِى  ٱلْأَرْضِ  وَٱلشَّمْسُ  وَٱلْقَمَرُ  وَٱلنُّجُومُ  وَٱلْجِبَالُ  وَٱلشَّجَرُ  وَٱلدَّوَآبُّ  وَكَثِيرٌ  مِّنَ  ٱلنَّاسِ  وَكَثِيرٌ  حَقَّ  عَلَيْهِ  ٱلْعَذَابُ  وَمَن  يُهِنِ  ٱللَّـهُ  فَمَا  لَهُۥ  مِن  مُّكْرِمٍ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  يَفْعَلُ  مَا  يَشَآءُ a‑lam tara annā allāha yasjudu lahu man l‑samāwāti wa‑man l‑arḍi wa‑l‑shamsu wa‑l‑qamaru wa‑l‑nujūmu wa‑l‑jibālu wa‑l‑shajaru wa‑l‑dawābbu wa‑kathīrun mina l‑nāsi wa‑kathīrun ḥaqqa ʿalayhi l‑ʿadhābu wa‑man yuhini allāhu fa‑mā lahu min mukrimin inna allāha yafʿalu yashāʾu
Seest thou not that to Allah bow down in worship all things that are in the heavens and on earth,- the sun, the moon, the stars; the hills, the trees, the animals; and a great number among mankind? But a great number are (also) such as are fit for Punishment: and such as Allah shall disgrace,- None can raise to honour: for Allah carries out all that He wills.

Surah 28 al-Qaṣaṣ (The Narrative)
(28:63)

قَالَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  حَقَّ  عَلَيْهِمُ  ٱلْقَوْلُ  رَبَّنَا  هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ  ٱلَّذِينَ  أَغْوَيْنَآ  أَغْوَيْنَٰهُمْ  كَمَا  غَوَيْنَا  تَبَرَّأْنَآ  إِلَيْكَ  مَا  كَانُوٓا۟  إِيَّانَا  يَعْبُدُونَ qalā lladhīna ḥaqqa ʿalayhimu l‑qawlu rabbanā hāʾulāʾi lladhīna aghwaynā aghwaynāhum ka‑mā ghawaynā tabarranā ilayka kānū iyyānā yaʿbudūna
Those against whom the charge will be proved, will say: "Our Lord! These are the ones whom we led astray: we led them astray, as we were astray ourselves: we free ourselves (from them) in Thy presence: it was not us they worshipped."

Surah 32 al-Sajdah (The Adoration)
(32:13)

If We had so willed, We could certainly have brought every soul its true guidance: but the Word from Me will come true, "I will fill Hell with Jinns and men all together."

Surah 36 Yā Sin (Ya Sin)
(36:7)

The Word is proved true against the greater part of them: for they do not believe.
(36:70)

لِّيُنذِرَ  مَن  كَانَ  حَيًّا  وَيَحِقَّ  ٱلْقَوْلُ  عَلَى  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ li‑yundhira man kāna ḥayyan wa‑yaḥiqqa l‑qawlu ʿalā l‑kāfirīna

(38:14)

إِن  كُلٌّ  إِلَّا  كَذَّبَ  ٱلرُّسُلَ  فَحَقَّ  عِقَابِ in kullun illā kadhdhaba l‑rusula fa‑ḥaqqa ʿiqābi
Not one (of them) but rejected the messengers, but My punishment came justly and inevitably (on them).

Surah 39 al-Zumar (The Companies)
(39:19)

أَفَمَنْ  حَقَّ  عَلَيْهِ  كَلِمَةُ  ٱلْعَذَابِ  أَفَأَنتَ  تُنقِذُ  مَن  فِى  ٱلنَّارِ afaman ḥaqqa ʿalayhi kalimatu l‑ʿadhābi a‑fa‑anta tunqidhu man l‑nāri
Is, then, one against whom the decree of Punishment is justly due (equal to one who eschews Evil)? Wouldst thou, then, deliver one (who is) in the Fire?
(39:71)

وَسِيقَ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوٓا۟  إِلَىٰ  جَهَنَّمَ  زُمَرًا  حَتَّىٰٓ  إِذَا  جَآءُوهَا  فُتِحَتْ  أَبْوَٰبُهَا  وَقَالَ  لَهُمْ  خَزَنَتُهَآ  أَلَمْ  يَأْتِكُمْ  رُسُلٌ  مِّنكُمْ  يَتْلُونَ  عَلَيْكُمْ  ءَايَٰتِ  رَبِّكُمْ  وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ  لِقَآءَ  يَوْمِكُمْ  هَٰذَا  قَالُوا۟  بَلَىٰ  وَلَٰكِنْ  حَقَّتْ  كَلِمَةُ  ٱلْعَذَابِ  عَلَى  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ wa‑sīqa lladhīna kafarū ilā jahannama zumaran ḥatta idhā jāʾūhā futiḥat abwābuhā wa‑qāla lahum khazanatuhā a‑lam yatikum rusulun minkum yatlūna ʿalaykum āyāti rabbikum wa‑yundhirūnakum liqāʾa yawmikum hādhā qālū balā wa‑lākin ḥaqqat kalimatu l‑ʿadhābi ʿalā l‑kāfirīna
The Unbelievers will be led to Hell in crowd: until, when they arrive, there, its gates will be opened. And its keepers will say, "Did not messengers come to you from among yourselves, rehearsing to you the Signs of your Lord, and warning you of the Meeting of This Day of yours?" The answer will be: "True: but the Decree of Punishment has been proved true against the Unbelievers!"

Surah 40 al-Ghāfir (The Forgiving One)
(40:6)

Thus was the Decree of thy Lord proved true against the Unbelievers; that truly they are Companions of the Fire!

Surah 41 Fuṣṣilat (Revelations Well Expounded)
(41:25)

وَقَيَّضْنَا  لَهُمْ  قُرَنَآءَ  فَزَيَّنُوا۟  لَهُم  مَّا  بَيْنَ  أَيْدِيهِمْ  وَمَا  خَلْفَهُمْ  وَحَقَّ  عَلَيْهِمُ  ٱلْقَوْلُ  فِىٓ  أُمَمٍ  قَدْ  خَلَتْ  مِن  قَبْلِهِم  مِّنَ  ٱلْجِنِّ  وَٱلْإِنسِ  إِنَّهُمْ  كَانُوا۟  خَٰسِرِينَ wa‑qayyaḍnā lahum quranāʾa fa‑zayyanū lahum bayna aydīhim wa‑mā khalfahum wa‑ḥaqqa ʿalayhimu l‑qawlu umamin qad khalat min qablihim mina l‑jinni wa‑l‑insi innahum kānū khāsirīna
And We have destined for them intimate companions (of like nature), who made alluring to them what was before them and behind them; and the sentence among the previous generations of Jinns and men, who have passed away, is proved against them; for they are utterly lost.

Surah 42 al-Shūrā (The Counsel)
(42:24)

أَمْ  يَقُولُونَ  ٱفْتَرَىٰ  عَلَى  ٱللَّـهِ  كَذِبًا  فَإِن  يَشَإِ  ٱللَّـهُ  يَخْتِمْ  عَلَىٰ  قَلْبِكَ  وَيَمْحُ  ٱللَّـهُ  ٱلْبَٰطِلَ  وَيُحِقُّ  ٱلْحَقَّ  بِكَلِمَٰتِهِۦٓ  إِنَّهُۥ  عَلِيمٌۢ  بِذَاتِ  ٱلصُّدُورِ am yaqūlūna iftarā ʿalā allāhi kadhiban fa‑in yashaʾi allāhu yakhtim ʿalā qalbika wa‑yamḥu allāhu l‑bāṭila wa‑yuḥiqqu l‑ḥaqqa bi‑kalimātihi innahu ʿalīmun bi‑dhāti l‑ṣudūri
What! Do they say, "He has forged a falsehood against Allah"? But if Allah willed, He could seal up thy heart. And Allah blots out Vanity, and proves the Truth by His Words. For He knows well the secrets of all hearts.

Surah 46 al-Aḥqāf (The Sandhills)
(46:18)

Such are they against whom is proved the sentence among the previous generations of Jinns and men, that have passed away; for they will be (utterly) lost.

Surah 50 Qāf (Qaf)
(50:14)

وَأَصْحَٰبُ  ٱلْأَيْكَةِ  وَقَوْمُ  تُبَّعٍ  كُلٌّ  كَذَّبَ  ٱلرُّسُلَ  فَحَقَّ  وَعِيدِ wa‑aṣḥābu l‑aykati wa‑qawmu tubbaʿin kullun kadhdhaba l‑rusula fa‑ḥaqqa waʿīdi
The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them).

Surah 84 al-Inshiqāq (The Rending)
(84:2)

And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord, and it must needs (do so);-
(84:5)

And hearkens to (the Command of) its Lord,- and it must needs (do so);- (then will come Home the full reality).
