Surah 2 al-Baqara (The Cow)
RefArabic    TransliterationTranslation
(2:187)

Permitted to you, on the night of the fasts, is the approach to your wives. They are your garments and ye are their garments. Allah knoweth what ye used to do secretly among yourselves; but He turned to you and forgave you; so now associate with them, and seek what Allah Hath ordained for you, and eat and drink, until the white thread of dawn appear to you distinct from its black thread; then complete your fast Till the night appears; but do not associate with your wives while ye are in retreat in the mosques. Those are Limits (set by) Allah: Approach not nigh thereto. Thus doth Allah make clear His Signs to men: that they may learn self-restraint.
(2:275)

Those who devour usury will not stand except as stand one whom the Evil one by his touch Hath driven to madness. That is because they say: "Trade is like usury," but Allah hath permitted trade and forbidden usury. Those who after receiving direction from their Lord, desist, shall be pardoned for the past; their case is for Allah (to judge); but those who repeat (The offence) are companions of the Fire: They will abide therein (for ever).

Surah 3 Āl-ʿImrān (The Family of Imran)
(3:50)

Surah 4 al-Nisāʾ (The Women)
(4:24)

وَٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتُ  مِنَ  ٱلنِّسَآءِ  إِلَّا  مَا  مَلَكَتْ  أَيْمَٰنُكُمْ  كِتَٰبَ  ٱللَّـهِ  عَلَيْكُمْ  وَأُحِلَّ  لَكُم  مَّا  وَرَآءَ  ذَٰلِكُمْ  أَن  تَبْتَغُوا۟  بِأَمْوَٰلِكُم  مُّحْصِنِينَ  غَيْرَ  مُسَٰفِحِينَ  فَمَا  ٱسْتَمْتَعْتُم  بِهِۦ  مِنْهُنَّ  فَـَٔاتُوهُنَّ  أُجُورَهُنَّ  فَرِيضَةً  وَلَا  جُنَاحَ  عَلَيْكُمْ  فِيمَا  تَرَٰضَيْتُم  بِهِۦ  مِنۢ  بَعْدِ  ٱلْفَرِيضَةِ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  كَانَ  عَلِيمًا  حَكِيمًا wa‑l‑muḥṣanātu mina l‑nisāʾi illā malakat aymānukum kitāba allāhi ʿalaykum wa‑uḥilla la‑kum wa‑rāʾa dhālikum an tabtaghū bi‑amwālikum muḥṣinīna ghayra musāfiḥīna fa‑mā istamataʿtum bihi minhunna fa‑ātūhunna ujūrahunna farīḍatan wa‑lā junāḥa ʿalaykum fī‑mā tarāḍaytum bihi min baʿdi l‑farīḍati inna allāha kāna ʿalīman ḥakīman
Also (prohibited are) women already married, except those whom your right hands possess: Thus hath Allah ordained (Prohibitions) against you: Except for these, all others are lawful, provided ye seek (them in marriage) with gifts from your property,- desiring chastity, not lust, seeing that ye derive benefit from them, give them their dowers (at least) as prescribed; but if, after a dower is prescribed, agree Mutually (to vary it), there is no blame on you, and Allah is All-knowing, All-wise.

Surah 5 al-Māʾidah (The Table Spread)
(5:1)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوٓا۟  أَوْفُوا۟  بِٱلْعُقُودِ  أُحِلَّتْ  لَكُم  بَهِيمَةُ  ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ  إِلَّا  مَا  يُتْلَىٰ  عَلَيْكُمْ  غَيْرَ  مُحِلِّى  ٱلصَّيْدِ  وَأَنتُمْ  حُرُمٌ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  يَحْكُمُ  مَا  يُرِيدُ yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū awfū bil‑ʿuqūdi uḥillat la‑kum bahīmatu l‑anʿāmi illā yutlā ʿalaykum ghayra muḥillī l‑ṣaydi wa‑antum ḥurumun inna allāha yaḥkumu yurīdu
O ye who believe! fulfil (all) obligations. Lawful unto you (for food) are all four-footed animals, with the exceptions named: But animals of the chase are forbidden while ye are in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb: for Allah doth command according to His will and plan.
(5:2)

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا  ٱلَّذِينَ  ءَامَنُوا۟  لَا  تُحِلُّوا۟  شَعَٰٓئِرَ  ٱللَّـهِ  وَلَا  ٱلشَّهْرَ  ٱلْحَرَامَ  وَلَا  ٱلْهَدْىَ  وَلَا  ٱلْقَلَٰٓئِدَ  وَلَآ  ءَآمِّينَ  ٱلْبَيْتَ  ٱلْحَرَامَ  يَبْتَغُونَ  فَضْلًا  مِّن  رَّبِّهِمْ  وَرِضْوَٰنًا  وَإِذَا  حَلَلْتُمْ  فَٱصْطَادُوا۟  وَلَا  يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ  شَنَـَٔانُ  قَوْمٍ  أَن  صَدُّوكُمْ  عَنِ  ٱلْمَسْجِدِ  ٱلْحَرَامِ  أَن  تَعْتَدُوا۟  وَتَعَاوَنُوا۟  عَلَى  ٱلْبِرِّ  وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ  وَلَا  تَعَاوَنُوا۟  عَلَى  ٱلْإِثْمِ  وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ  وَٱتَّقُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  إِنَّ  ٱللَّـهَ  شَدِيدُ  ٱلْعِقَابِ yā‑ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū tuḥillū shaʿāʾira allāhi wa‑lā l‑shahra l‑ḥarāma wa‑lā l‑hada wa‑lā l‑qalāʾida wa‑lā āmmīna l‑bayta l‑ḥarāma yabtaghūna faḍlan min rabbihim wa‑riḍwānan wa‑idhā ḥalaltum faṣṭādū wa‑lā yajrimannakum shanaʾānu qawmin an ṣaddūkum ʿani l‑masjidi l‑ḥarāmi an taʿtadū wa‑taʿāwanū ʿalā l‑birri wa‑l‑taqwa wa‑lā taʿāwanū ʿalā l‑ithmi wa‑l‑ʿudwāni wa‑ittaqū allāha inna allāha shadīdu l‑ʿiqābi
O ye who believe! Violate not the sanctity of the symbols of Allah, nor of the sacred month, nor of the animals brought for sacrifice, nor the garlands that mark out such animals, nor the people resorting to the sacred house, seeking of the bounty and good pleasure of their Lord. But when ye are clear of the sacred precincts and of pilgrim garb, ye may hunt and let not the hatred of some people in (once) shutting you out of the Sacred Mosque lead you to transgression (and hostility on your part). Help ye one another in righteousness and piety, but help ye not one another in sin and rancour: fear Allah: for Allah is strict in punishment.
(5:4)

They ask thee what is lawful to them (as food). Say: lawful unto you are (all) things good and pure: and what ye have taught your trained hunting animals (to catch) in the manner directed to you by Allah: eat what they catch for you, but pronounce the name of Allah over it: and fear Allah; for Allah is swift in taking account.
(5:5)

This day are (all) things good and pure made lawful unto you. The food of the People of the Book is lawful unto you and yours is lawful unto them. (Lawful unto you in marriage) are (not only) chaste women who are believers, but chaste women among the People of the Book, revealed before your time,- when ye give them their due dowers, and desire chastity, not lewdness, nor secret intrigues if any one rejects faith, fruitless is his work, and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good).
(5:87)

O ye who believe! make not unlawful the good things which Allah hath made lawful for you, but commit no excess: for Allah loveth not those given to excess.
(5:96)

أُحِلَّ  لَكُمْ  صَيْدُ  ٱلْبَحْرِ  وَطَعَامُهُۥ  مَتَٰعًا  لَّكُمْ  وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ  وَحُرِّمَ  عَلَيْكُمْ  صَيْدُ  ٱلْبَرِّ  مَا  دُمْتُمْ  حُرُمًا  وَٱتَّقُوا۟  ٱللَّـهَ  ٱلَّذِىٓ  إِلَيْهِ  تُحْشَرُونَ uḥilla la‑kum ṣaydu l‑baḥri wa‑ṭaʿāmuhu matāʿan la‑kum wa‑lil‑sayyārati wa‑ḥurrima ʿalaykum ṣaydu l‑barri dumtum ḥuruman wattaqū allāha alladhī ilayhi tuḥsharūna
Lawful to you is the pursuit of water-game and its use for food,- for the benefit of yourselves and those who travel; but forbidden is the pursuit of land-game;- as long as ye are in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb. And fear Allah, to Whom ye shall be gathered back.

Surah 7 al-Aʿrāf (The Heights)
(7:157)

"Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the law and the Gospel;- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper."

Surah 9 al-Tawbah (Repentance)
(9:37)

إِنَّمَا  ٱلنَّسِىٓءُ  زِيَادَةٌ  فِى  ٱلْكُفْرِ  يُضَلُّ  بِهِ  ٱلَّذِينَ  كَفَرُوا۟  يُحِلُّونَهُۥ  عَامًا  وَيُحَرِّمُونَهُۥ  عَامًا  لِّيُوَاطِـُٔوا۟  عِدَّةَ  مَا  حَرَّمَ  ٱللَّـهُ  فَيُحِلُّوا۟  مَا  حَرَّمَ  ٱللَّـهُ  زُيِّنَ  لَهُمْ  سُوٓءُ  أَعْمَٰلِهِمْ  وَٱللَّـهُ  لَا  يَهْدِى  ٱلْقَوْمَ  ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ innamā l‑nasīu ziyādatun l‑kufri yuḍallu bihi lladhīna kafarū yuḥillūnahu ʿāman wa‑yuḥarrimūnahu ʿāman li‑yuwāṭiʾū ʿiddata ḥarrama allāhu fa‑yuḥillū ḥarrama allāhu zuyyina lahum sūu aʿmālihim wallāhu yahdī l‑qawma l‑kāfirīna
Verily the transposing (of a prohibited month) is an addition to Unbelief: the Unbelievers are led to wrong thereby: for they make it lawful one year, and forbidden another year, in order to adjust the number of months forbidden by Allah and make such forbidden ones lawful. The evil of their course seems pleasing to them. But Allah guideth not those who reject Faith.

Surah 14 Ibrāhīm (Abraham)
(14:28)

أَلَمْ  تَرَ  إِلَى  ٱلَّذِينَ  بَدَّلُوا۟  نِعْمَتَ  ٱللَّـهِ  كُفْرًا  وَأَحَلُّوا۟  قَوْمَهُمْ  دَارَ  ٱلْبَوَارِ a‑lam tara ilā lladhīna baddalū niʿmata allāhi kufran wa‑aḥallū qawmahum dāra l‑bawāri
Hast thou not turned thy vision to those who have changed the favour of Allah. Into blasphemy and caused their people to descend to the House of Perdition?-

Surah 22 al-Ḥajj (The Pilgrimage)
(22:30)

ذَٰلِكَ  وَمَن  يُعَظِّمْ  حُرُمَٰتِ  ٱللَّـهِ  فَهُوَ  خَيْرٌ  لَّهُۥ  عِندَ  رَبِّهِۦ  وَأُحِلَّتْ  لَكُمُ  ٱلْأَنْعَٰمُ  إِلَّا  مَا  يُتْلَىٰ  عَلَيْكُمْ  فَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟  ٱلرِّجْسَ  مِنَ  ٱلْأَوْثَٰنِ  وَٱجْتَنِبُوا۟  قَوْلَ  ٱلزُّورِ dhālika wa‑man yuʿaẓẓim ḥurumāti allāhi fa‑huwa khayrun lahu ʿinda rabbihi wa‑uḥillat lakumu l‑anʿāmu illā yutlā ʿalaykum fa‑ijtanibū l‑rijsa mina l‑awthāni wa‑ijtanibū qawla l‑zūri
Such (is the Pilgrimage): whoever honours the sacred rites of Allah, for him it is good in the Sight of his Lord. Lawful to you (for food in Pilgrimage) are cattle, except those mentioned to you (as exception): but shun the abomination of idols, and shun the word that is false,-

O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee; and daughters of thy paternal uncles and aunts, and daughters of thy maternal uncles and aunts, who migrated (from Makka) with thee; and any believing woman who dedicates her soul to the Prophet if the Prophet wishes to wed her;- this only for thee, and not for the Believers (at large); We know what We have appointed for them as to their wives and the captives whom their right hands possess;- in order that there should be no difficulty for thee. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Surah 35 al-Faṭīr (The Creator)
(35:35)

"Who has, out of His Bounty, settled us in a Home that will last: no toil nor sense of weariness shall touch us therein."

Surah 66 al-Taḥrīm (The Prohibition)
(66:1)

O Prophet! Why holdest thou to be forbidden that which Allah has made lawful to thee? Thou seekest to please thy consorts. But Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
