Sura al-Naḥl 16:45

أَفَأَمِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ مَكَرُوا۟ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ أَن يَخْسِفَ ٱللَّـهُ بِهِمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

afaamina lladhīna makarū l-sayyiʾāti an yakhsifa allāhu bihimu l-arḍa aw yaʾtiyahumu l-ʿadhābu min ḥaythu lā yashʿurūna

Do then those who devise evil (plots) feel secure that Allah will not cause the earth to swallow them up, or that the Wrath will not seize them from directions they little perceive?-

Sura al-Isrāʾ 17:68

أَفَأَمِنتُمْ أَن يَخْسِفَ بِكُمْ جَانِبَ ٱلْبَرِّ أَوْ يُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِبًا ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُوا۟ لَكُمْ وَكِيلًا

a-fa-amintum an yakhsifa bikum jāniba l-barri aw yursila ʿalaykum ḥāṣiban thumma lā tajidū la-kum wakīlan

Do ye then feel secure that He will not cause you to be swallowed up beneath the earth when ye are on land, or that He will not send against you a violent tornado (with showers of stones) so that ye shall find no one to carry out your affairs for you?

Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:81

فَخَسَفْنَا بِهِۦ وَبِدَارِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ فَمَا كَانَ لَهُۥ مِن فِئَةٍ يَنصُرُونَهُۥ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّـهِ وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنتَصِرِينَ

fa-khasafnā bihi wa-bi-dārihi l-arḍa fa-mā kāna lahu min fiʾatin yanṣurūnahu min dūni allāhi wa-mā kāna mina l-muntaṣirīna

Then We caused the earth to swallow up him and his house; and he had not (the least little) party to help him against Allah, nor could he defend himself.

Sura al-Qaṣaṣ 28:82

وَأَصْبَحَ ٱلَّذِينَ تَمَنَّوْا۟ مَكَانَهُۥ بِٱلْأَمْسِ يَقُولُونَ وَيْكَأَنَّ ٱللَّـهَ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ وَيَقْدِرُ لَوْلَآ أَن مَّنَّ ٱللَّـهُ عَلَيْنَا لَخَسَفَ بِنَا وَيْكَأَنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ

wa-aṣbaḥa lladhīna tamannaw makānahu bil-amsi yaqūlūna way-ka-anna allāha yabsuṭu l-rizqa li-man yashāʾu min ʿibādihi wa-yaqdiru lawlā an manna allāhu ʿalaynā la-khasafa binā way-ka-annahu lā yufliḥu l-kāfirūna

And those who had envied his position the day before began to say on the morrow: "Ah! it is indeed Allah Who enlarges the provision or restricts it, to any of His servants He pleases! had it not been that Allah was gracious to us, He could have caused the earth to swallow us up! Ah! those who reject Allah will assuredly never prosper."

Sura al-ʿAnkabūt 29:40

فَكُلًّا أَخَذْنَا بِذَنۢبِهِۦ فَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ حَاصِبًا وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَخَذَتْهُ ٱلصَّيْحَةُ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ خَسَفْنَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَمِنْهُم مَّنْ أَغْرَقْنَا وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّـهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ

fakullan akhadhnā bi-dhanbihi fa-minhum man arsalnā ʿalayhi ḥāṣiban wa-minhum man akhadhathu l-ṣayḥatu wa-minhum man khasafnā bihi l-arḍa wa-minhum man aghraqnā wa-mā kāna allāhu li-yaẓlimahum wa-lākin kānū anfusahum yaẓlimūna

Each one of them We seized for his crime: of them, against some We sent a violent tornado (with showers of stones); some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters): It was not Allah Who injured (or oppressed) them:" They injured (and oppressed) their own souls.

Sura Sabaʾ 34:9

أَفَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِن نَّشَأْ نَخْسِفْ بِهِمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ أَوْ نُسْقِطْ عَلَيْهِمْ كِسَفًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةً لِّكُلِّ عَبْدٍ مُّنِيبٍ

a-fa-lam yaraw ilā mā bayna aydīhim wa-mā khalfahum mina l-samāʾi wa-l-arḍi in nashaʾ nakhsif bihimu l-arḍa aw nusqiṭ ʿalayhim kisafan mina l-samāʾi inna fī dhālika la-āyatan li-kulli ʿabdin munībin

See they not what is before them and behind them, of the sky and the earth? If We wished, We could cause the earth to swallow them up, or cause a piece of the sky to fall upon them. Verily in this is a Sign for every devotee that turns to Allah (in repentance).

Sura al-Mulk 67:16

ءَأَمِنتُم مَّن فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ أَن يَخْسِفَ بِكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَمُورُ

a-amintum man fī l-samāʾi an yakhsifa bikumu l-arḍa fa-idhā hiya tamūru

Do ye feel secure that He Who is in heaven will not cause you to be swallowed up by the earth when it shakes (as in an earthquake)?

Sura al-Qiyāmah 75:8

وَخَسَفَ ٱلْقَمَرُ

wa-khasafa l-qamaru

And the moon is buried in darkness.
