(2:20) | يَكَادُ ٱلْبَرْقُ يَخْطَفُ أَبْصَٰرَهُمْ كُلَّمَآ أَضَآءَ لَهُم مَّشَوْا۟ فِيهِ وَإِذَآ أَظْلَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ قَامُوا۟ وَلَوْ شَآءَ ٱللَّـهُ لَذَهَبَ بِسَمْعِهِمْ وَأَبْصَٰرِهِمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ | yakādu l‑barqu yakhṭafu abṣārahum kullamā aḍāʾa lahum mashaw fīhi wa‑idhā aẓlama ʿalayhim qāmū wa‑law shāʾa allāhu la‑dhahaba bisamʿihim wa‑abṣārihim inna allāha ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīrun | The lightning all but snatches away their sight; every time
the light (Helps) them, they walk therein, and when the darkness grows on
them, they stand still. And if Allah willed, He could take away their faculty
of hearing and seeing; for Allah hath power over all things.

(22:31) | حُنَفَآءَ لِلَّـهِ غَيْرَ مُشْرِكِينَ بِهِۦ وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّـهِ فَكَأَنَّمَا خَرَّ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتَخْطَفُهُ ٱلطَّيْرُ أَوْ تَهْوِى بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِى مَكَانٍ سَحِيقٍ | ḥunafāʾa lillāhi ghayra mushrikīna bihi wa‑man yushrik billāhi fa‑kaʾannama kharra mina l‑samāʾi fa‑takhṭafuhu l‑ṭayru aw tahwī bihi l‑rīḥu fī makānin saḥīqin | Being true in faith to Allah, and never assigning partners to
Him: if anyone assigns partners to Allah, is as if he had fallen from heaven
and been snatched up by birds, or the wind had swooped (like a bird on its
prey) and thrown him into a far-distant place.

(37:10) | إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ ٱلْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ | illā man khaṭifa l‑khaṭfata fa‑atbaʿahu shihābun thāqibun | Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are
pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness.
