Sura al-Baqara 2:86

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱشْتَرَوُا۟ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِٱلْأَخِرَةِ فَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ

ulāʾika lladhīna ishtarawu l-ḥayāta l-dunyā bil-akhirati fa-lā yukhaffafu ʿanhumu l-ʿadhābu wa-lā hum yunṣarūna

These are the people who buy the life of this world at the price of the Hereafter: their penalty shall not be lightened nor shall they be helped.

Sura al-Baqara 2:162

خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا لَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ

khālidīna fīhā lā yukhaffafu ʿanhumu l-ʿadhābu wa-lā hum yunẓarūna

They will abide therein: Their penalty will not be lightened, nor will respite be their (lot).

Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:88

خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا لَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ

khālidīna fīhā lā yukhaffafu ʿanhumu l-ʿadhābu wa-lā hum yunẓarūna

In that will they dwell; nor will their penalty be lightened, nor respite be (their lot);-

Sura al-Nisāʾ 4:28

يُرِيدُ ٱللَّـهُ أَن يُخَفِّفَ عَنكُمْ وَخُلِقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ ضَعِيفًا

yurīdu allāhu an yukhaffifa ʿankum wa-khuliqa l-insānu ḍaʿīfan

Allah doth wish to lighten your (difficulties): For man was created Weak (in flesh).

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:9

وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَظْلِمُونَ

wa-man khaffat mawāzīnuhu fa-ūlāʾika lladhīna khasirū anfusahum bi-mā kānū bi-āyātinā yaẓlimūna

Those whose scale will be light, will be their souls in perdition, for that they wrongfully treated Our signs.

Sura al-Anfāl 8:66

ٱلْـَٰٔنَ خَفَّفَ ٱللَّـهُ عَنكُمْ وَعَلِمَ أَنَّ فِيكُمْ ضَعْفًا فَإِن يَكُن مِّنكُم مِّا۟ئَةٌ صَابِرَةٌ يَغْلِبُوا۟ مِا۟ئَتَيْنِ وَإِن يَكُن مِّنكُمْ أَلْفٌ يَغْلِبُوٓا۟ أَلْفَيْنِ بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّـهِ وَٱللَّـهُ مَعَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ

l-ana khaffafa allāhu ʿankum wa-ʿalima annā fīkum ḍaʿfan fa-in yakun minkum miʾatun ṣābiratun yaghlibū miʾatayni wa-in yakun minkum alfun yaghlibū alfayni bi-idhni allāhi wallāhu maʿa l-ṣābirīna

For the present, Allah hath lightened your (task), for He knoweth that there is a weak spot in you: But (even so), if there are a hundred of you, patient and persevering, they will vanquish two hundred, and if a thousand, they will vanquish two thousand, with the leave of Allah: for Allah is with those who patiently persevere.

Sura al-Naḥl 16:85

وَإِذَا رَءَا ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ فَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ

wa-idhā raʾā lladhīna ẓalamū l-ʿadhāba fa-lā yukhaffafu ʿanhum wa-lā hum yunẓarūna

When the wrong-doers (actually) see the Penalty, then will it in no way be mitigated, nor will they then receive respite.

Sura al-Muʾminūn 23:103

وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ خَسِرُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ فِى جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدُونَ

wa-man khaffat mawāzīnuhu fa-ūlāʾika lladhīna khasirū anfusahum fī jahannama khālidūna

But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide.

Sura al-Rūm 30:60

فَٱصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّـهِ حَقٌّ وَلَا يَسْتَخِفَّنَّكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُوقِنُونَ

fa-iṣbir inna waʿda allāhi ḥaqqun wa-lā yastakhiffannaka lladhīna lā yūqinūna

So patiently persevere: for verily the promise of Allah is true: nor let those shake thy firmness, who have (themselves) no certainty of faith.

Sura al-Faṭīr 35:36

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَهُمْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ لَا يُقْضَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ فَيَمُوتُوا۟ وَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُم مِّنْ عَذَابِهَا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى كُلَّ كَفُورٍ

wa-lladhīna kafarū lahum nāru jahannama lā yuqḍa ʿalayhim fa-yamūtū wa-lā yukhaffafu ʿanhum min ʿadhābihā ka-dhālika najzī kulla kafūrin

But those who reject (Allah) - for them will be the Fire of Hell: No term shall be determined for them, so they should die, nor shall its Penalty be lightened for them. Thus do We reward every ungrateful one!

Sura al-Ghāfir 40:49

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ فِى ٱلنَّارِ لِخَزَنَةِ جَهَنَّمَ ٱدْعُوا۟ رَبَّكُمْ يُخَفِّفْ عَنَّا يَوْمًا مِّنَ ٱلْعَذَابِ

wa-qāla lladhīna fī l-nāri li-khazanati jahannama idʿū rabbakum yukhaffif ʿannā yawman mina l-ʿadhābi

Those in the Fire will say to the Keepers of Hell: "Pray to your Lord to lighten us the Penalty for a day (at least)!"

Sura al-Zukhruf 43:54

فَٱسْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهُۥ فَأَطَاعُوهُ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَٰسِقِينَ

fa-istakhaffa qawmahu fa-aṭāʿūhu innahum kānū qawman fāsiqīna

Thus did he make fools of his people, and they obeyed him: truly were they a people rebellious (against Allah).

Sura al-Qāriʿah 101:8

وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

wa-ammā man khaffat mawāzīnuhu

But he whose balance (of good deeds) will be (found) light,-
