Sura Āl-ʿImrān 3:49

وَرَسُولًا إِلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ أَنِّى قَدْ جِئْتُكُم بِـَٔايَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ أَنِّىٓ أَخْلُقُ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطِّينِ كَهَيْـَٔةِ ٱلطَّيْرِ فَأَنفُخُ فِيهِ فَيَكُونُ طَيْرًۢا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّـهِ وَأُبْرِئُ ٱلْأَكْمَهَ وَٱلْأَبْرَصَ وَأُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّـهِ وَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا تَأْكُلُونَ وَمَا تَدَّخِرُونَ فِى بُيُوتِكُمْ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةً لَّكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

wa-rasūlan ilā banī isrāʾīla annī qad jiʾtukum bi-āyatin min rabbikum annī akhluqu la-kum mina l-ṭīni kahayati l-ṭayri fa-anfukhu fīhi fa-yakūnu ṭayran bi-idhni allāhi wa-ubriʾu l-akmaha wa-l-abraṣa wa-uḥi l-mawtā bi-idhni allāhi wa-unabbiʾukum bi-mā taʾkulūna wa-mā taddakhirūna fī buyūtikum inna fī dhālika la-āyatan la-kum in kuntum muʾminīna

"And (appoint him) a messenger to the Children of Israel, (with this message): "'I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah's leave: And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by Allah's leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if ye did believe;

Sura al-Anʿām 6:94

وَلَقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا فُرَٰدَىٰ كَمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَتَرَكْتُم مَّا خَوَّلْنَٰكُمْ وَرَآءَ ظُهُورِكُمْ وَمَا نَرَىٰ مَعَكُمْ شُفَعَآءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّهُمْ فِيكُمْ شُرَكَٰٓؤُا۟ لَقَد تَّقَطَّعَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنكُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ

wa-la-qad jiʾtumūnā furāda ka-mā khalaqnākum awwala marratin wa-taraktum mā khawwalnākum wa-rāʾa ẓuhūrikum wa-mā narā maʿakum shufaʿāʾakumu lladhīna zaʿamtum annahum fīkum shurakāʾu laqad taqaṭṭaʿa baynakum wa-ḍalla ʿankum mā kuntum tazʿumūna

"And behold! ye come to us bare and alone as We created you for the first time: ye have left behind you all (the favours) which We bestowed on you: We see not with you your intercessors whom ye thought to be partners in your affairs: so now all relations between you have been cut off, and your (pet) fancies have left you in the lurch!"

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:11

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ ثُمَّ صَوَّرْنَٰكُمْ ثُمَّ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِءَادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ لَمْ يَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ

wa-la-qad khalaqnākum thumma ṣawwarnākum thumma qulnā lil-malāʾikati isjudū li-ādama fa-sajadū illā iblīsa lam yakun mina l-sājidīna

It is We Who created you and gave you shape; then We bade the angels prostrate to Adam, and they prostrate; not so Iblis; He refused to be of those who prostrate.

Sura al-Aʿrāf 7:181

وَمِمَّنْ خَلَقْنَآ أُمَّةٌ يَهْدُونَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَبِهِۦ يَعْدِلُونَ

wamimman khalaqnā ummatun yahdūna bil-ḥaqqi wa-bihi yaʿdilūna

Of those We have created are people who direct (others) with truth. And dispense justice therewith.

Sura al-Ḥijr 15:26

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلْصَٰلٍ مِّنْ حَمَإٍ مَّسْنُونٍ

wa-la-qad khalaqnā l-insāna min ṣalṣālin min ḥamāʾin masnūnin

We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape;

Sura al-Ḥijr 15:27

وَٱلْجَآنَّ خَلَقْنَٰهُ مِن قَبْلُ مِن نَّارِ ٱلسَّمُومِ

wa-l-jānna khalaqnāhu min qablu min nnāri l-samūmi

And the Jinn race, We had created before, from the fire of a scorching wind.

Sura al-Ḥijr 15:85

وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَإِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ لَءَاتِيَةٌ فَٱصْفَحِ ٱلصَّفْحَ ٱلْجَمِيلَ

wa-mā khalaqnā l-samāwāti wa-l-arḍa wa-mā baynahumā illā bil-ḥaqqi wa-inna l-sāʿata la-ātiyatun fa-iṣfaḥi l-ṣafḥa l-jamīla

We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness.

Sura al-Isrāʾ 17:70

وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ وَحَمَلْنَٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ وَرَزَقْنَٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ وَفَضَّلْنَٰهُمْ عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقْنَا تَفْضِيلًا

wa-la-qad karramnā banī ādama wa-ḥamalnāhum fī l-barri wa-l-baḥri wa-razaqnāhum mina l-ṭayyibāti wa-faḍḍalnāhum ʿalā kathīrin mimman khalaqnā tafḍīlan

We have honoured the sons of Adam; provided them with transport on land and sea; given them for sustenance things good and pure; and conferred on them special favours, above a great part of our creation.

Sura al-Kahf 18:48

وَعُرِضُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّكَ صَفًّا لَّقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا كَمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۭ بَلْ زَعَمْتُمْ أَلَّن نَّجْعَلَ لَكُم مَّوْعِدًا

wa-ʿuriḍū ʿalā rabbika ṣaffan llaqad jiʾtumūnā ka-mā khalaqnākum awwala marratin bal zaʿamtum allan nnajʿala la-kum mawʿidan

And they will be marshalled before thy Lord in ranks, (with the announcement), "Now have ye come to Us (bare) as We created you first: aye, ye thought We shall not fulfil the appointment made to you to meet (Us)!":

Sura Maryam 19:9

قَالَ كَذَٰلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَىَّ هَيِّنٌ وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ تَكُ شَيْـًٔا

qalā ka-dhālika qalā rabbuka huwa ʿalayya hayyinun wa-qad khalaqtuka min qablu wa-lam taku shayʾan

He said: "So (it will be) thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: I did indeed create thee before, when thou hadst been nothing!'"

Sura Maryam 19:67

أَوَلَا يَذْكُرُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ يَكُ شَيْـًٔا

awalā yadhkuru l-insānu annā khalaqnāhu min qablu wa-lam yaku shayʾan

But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing?

Sura Ṭā Hā 20:55

مِنْهَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ وَفِيهَا نُعِيدُكُمْ وَمِنْهَا نُخْرِجُكُمْ تَارَةً أُخْرَىٰ

minhā khalaqnākum wa-fīhā nuʿīdukum wa-minhā nukhrijukum tāratan ukhrā

From the (earth) did We create you, and into it shall We return you, and from it shall We bring you out once again.

Sura al-Anbiyāʾ 21:16

وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَٰعِبِينَ

wa-mā khalaqnā l-samāʾa wa-l-arḍa wa-mā baynahumā lāʿibīna

Not for (idle) sport did We create the heavens and the earth and all that is between!

Sura al-Ḥajj 22:5

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِى رَيْبٍ مِّنَ ٱلْبَعْثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ مِن مُّضْغَةٍ مُّخَلَّقَةٍ وَغَيْرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍ لِّنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ وَنُقِرُّ فِى ٱلْأَرْحَامِ مَا نَشَآءُ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ نُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟ أَشُدَّكُمْ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرْذَلِ ٱلْعُمُرِ لِكَيْلَا يَعْلَمَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ عِلْمٍ شَيْـًٔا وَتَرَى ٱلْأَرْضَ هَامِدَةً فَإِذَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا ٱلْمَآءَ ٱهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ وَأَنۢبَتَتْ مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۭ بَهِيجٍ

yā-ayyuhā l-nāsu in kuntum fī raybin mina l-baʿthi fa-innā khalaqnākum min turābin thumma min nuṭfatin thumma min ʿalaqatin thumma min muḍghatin mukhallaqatin wa-ghayri mukhallaqatin li-nubayyina la-kum wa-nuqirru fī l-arḥāmi mā nashāʾu ila ajalin musamman thumma nukhrijukum ṭiflan thumma li-tablughū ashuddakum wa-minkum man yutawaffā wa-minkum man yuraddu ila ardhali l-ʿumuri li-kaylā yaʿlama min baʿdi ʿilmin shayʾan wa-tara l-arḍa hāmidatan fa-idhā anzalnā ʿalayhā l-māa ihtazzat wa-rabat wa-anbatat min kulli zawjin bahījin

O mankind! if ye have a doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that We created you out of dust, then out of sperm, then out of a leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, in order that We may manifest (our power) to you; and We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full strength; and some of you are called to die, and some are sent back to the feeblest old age, so that they know nothing after having known (much), and (further), thou seest the earth barren and lifeless, but when We pour down rain on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells, and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs).

Sura al-Muʾminūn 23:12

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن سُلَٰلَةٍ مِّن طِينٍ

wa-la-qad khalaqnā l-insāna min sulālatin min ṭīnin

Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay);

Sura al-Muʾminūn 23:14

ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا ٱلنُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقْنَا ٱلْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَلَقْنَا ٱلْمُضْغَةَ عِظَٰمًا فَكَسَوْنَا ٱلْعِظَٰمَ لَحْمًا ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَٰهُ خَلْقًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّـهُ أَحْسَنُ ٱلْخَٰلِقِينَ

thumma khalaqnā l-nuṭfata ʿalaqatan fa-khalaqnā l-ʿalaqata muḍghatan fa-khalaqnā l-muḍghata ʿiẓāman fa-kasawnā l-ʿiẓāma laḥman thumma anshaʾnāhu khalqan ākhara fa-tabāraka allāhu aḥsanu l-khāliqīna

Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create!

Sura al-Muʾminūn 23:17

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرَآئِقَ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ ٱلْخَلْقِ غَٰفِلِينَ

wa-la-qad khalaqnā fawqakum sabʿa ṭarāʾiqa wa-mā kunnā ʿani l-khalqi ghāfilīna

And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation.

Sura al-Muʾminūn 23:115

أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ

a-fa-ḥasibtum annamā khalaqnākum ʿabathan wa-annakum ilaynā lā turjaʿūna

"Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?"

Sura al-Furqān 25:49

لِّنُحْۦِىَ بِهِۦ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا وَنُسْقِيَهُۥ مِمَّا خَلَقْنَآ أَنْعَٰمًا وَأَنَاسِىَّ كَثِيرًا

li-nuḥiya bihi baldatan maytan wa-nusqiyahu mimmā khalaqnā anʿāman wa-anāsiyya kathīran

That with it We may give life to a dead land, and slake the thirst of things We have created,- cattle and men in great numbers.

Sura Yā Sin 36:42

وَخَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّن مِّثْلِهِۦ مَا يَرْكَبُونَ

wa-khalaqnā lahum min mithlihi mā yarkabūna

And We have created for them similar (vessels) on which they ride.

Sura Yā Sin 36:71

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّمَّا عَمِلَتْ أَيْدِينَآ أَنْعَٰمًا فَهُمْ لَهَا مَٰلِكُونَ

a-wa-lam yaraw annā khalaqnā lahum mimmā ʿamilat aydīnā anʿāman fa-hum lahā mālikūna

See they not that it is We Who have created for them - among the things which Our hands have fashioned - cattle, which are under their dominion?-

Sura Yā Sin 36:77

أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُّبِينٌ

a-wa-lam yarā l-insānu annā khalaqnāhu min nuṭfatin fa-idhā huwa khaṣīmun mubīnun

Doth not man see that it is We Who created him from sperm? yet behold! he (stands forth) as an open adversary!

Sura al-Ṣaffāt 37:11

فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَآ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُم مِّن طِينٍ لَّازِبٍۭ

fa-istaftihim a-hum ashaddu khalqan am man khalaqnā innā khalaqnāhum min ṭīnin lāzibin

Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay!

Sura al-Ṣaffāt 37:150

أَمْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ إِنَٰثًا وَهُمْ شَٰهِدُونَ

am khalaqnā l-malāikata ināthan wa-hum shāhidūna

Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)?

Sura Ṣād 38:27

وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا بَٰطِلًا ذَٰلِكَ ظَنُّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلنَّارِ

wa-mā khalaqnā l-samāʾa wa-l-arḍa wa-mā baynahumā bāṭilan dhālika ẓannu lladhīna kafarū fa-waylun li-lladhīna kafarū mina l-nāri

Not without purpose did We create heaven and earth and all between! that were the thought of Unbelievers! but woe to the Unbelievers because of the Fire (of Hell)!

Sura Ṣād 38:75

قَالَ يَٰٓإِبْلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسْجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَىَّ أَسْتَكْبَرْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْعَالِينَ

qalā yā-iblīsu mā manaʿaka an tasjuda li-mā khalaqtu bi-yadayya astakbarta am kunta mina l-ʿālīna

(Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?"

Sura al-Dukhān 44:38

وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَٰعِبِينَ

wa-mā khalaqnā l-samāwāti wa-l-arḍa wa-mā baynahumā lāʿibīna

We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, merely in (idle) sport:

Sura al-Dukhān 44:39

مَا خَلَقْنَٰهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

mā khalaqnāhumā illā bil-ḥaqqi wa-lākinna aktharahum lā yaʿlamūna

We created them not except for just ends: but most of them do not understand.

Sura al-Aḥqāf 46:3

مَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ عَمَّآ أُنذِرُوا۟ مُعْرِضُونَ

mā khalaqnā l-samāwāti wa-l-arḍa wa-mā baynahumā illā bil-ḥaqqi wa-ajalin musamman wa-lladhīna kafarū ʿammā undhirū muʿriḍūna

We created not the heavens and the earth and all between them but for just ends, and for a Term Appointed: But those who reject Faith turn away from that whereof they are warned.

Sura al-Ḥujurāt 49:13

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَىٰ وَجَعَلْنَٰكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَآئِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوٓا۟ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّـهِ أَتْقَىٰكُمْ إِنَّ ٱللَّـهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ

yā-ayyuhā l-nāsu innā khalaqnākum min dhakarin wa-unthā wa-jaʿalnākum shuʿūban wa-qabāʾila li-taʿārafū inna akramakum ʿinda allāhi atqākum inna allāha ʿalīmun khabīrun

O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).

Sura Qāf 50:16

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِۦ نَفْسُهُۥ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ ٱلْوَرِيدِ

wa-la-qad khalaqnā l-insāna wa-naʿlamu mā tuwaswisu bihi nafsuhu wa-naḥnu aqrabu ilayhi min ḥabli l-warīdi

It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein.

Sura Qāf 50:38

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِن لُّغُوبٍ

wa-la-qad khalaqnā l-samāwāti wa-l-arḍa wa-mā baynahumā fī sittati ayyāmin wa-mā massanā min llughūbin

We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in Six Days, nor did any sense of weariness touch Us.

Sura al-Dhāriyāt 51:49

وَمِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ

wa-min kulli shayʾin khalaqnā zawjayni la-ʿallakum tadhakkarūna

And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction.

Sura al-Dhāriyāt 51:56

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ

wa-mā khalaqtu l-jinna wa-l-insa illā li-yaʿbudūni

I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me.

Sura al-Qamar 54:49

إِنَّا كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَٰهُ بِقَدَرٍ

innā kulla shayʾin khalaqnāhu bi-qadarin

Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure.

Sura al-Wāqiʿah 56:57

نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ

naḥnu khalaqnākum fa-lawlā tuṣaddiqūna

It is We Who have created you: why will ye not witness the Truth?

Sura al-Maʿārij 70:39

كَلَّآ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُم مِّمَّا يَعْلَمُونَ

kallā innā khalaqnāhum mimmā yaʿlamūna

By no means! For We have created them out of the (base matter) they know!

Sura al-Muddaththir 74:11

ذَرْنِى وَمَنْ خَلَقْتُ وَحِيدًا

dharnī wa-man khalaqtu waḥīdan

Leave Me alone, (to deal) with the (creature) whom I created (bare and) alone!-

Sura al-Insān 76:2

إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍ نَّبْتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلْنَٰهُ سَمِيعًۢا بَصِيرًا

innā khalaqnā l-insāna min nuṭfatin amshājin nnabtalīhi fa-jaʿalnāhu samīʿan baṣīran

Verily We created Man from a drop of mingled sperm, in order to try him: So We gave him (the gifts), of Hearing and Sight.

Sura al-Insān 76:28

نَّحْنُ خَلَقْنَٰهُمْ وَشَدَدْنَآ أَسْرَهُمْ وَإِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَآ أَمْثَٰلَهُمْ تَبْدِيلًا

nnaḥnu khalaqnāhum wa-shadadnā asrahum wa-idhā shiʾnā baddalnā amthālahum tabdīlan

It is We Who created them, and We have made their joints strong; but, when We will, We can substitute the like of them by a complete change.

Sura al-Mursalāt 77:20

أَلَمْ نَخْلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٍ مَّهِينٍ

a-lam nakhluqkkum min māʾin mahīnin

Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?-

Sura al-Nabaʾ 78:8

وَخَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًا

wa-khalaqnākum azwājan

And (have We not) created you in pairs,

Sura al-Balad 90:4

لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ فِى كَبَدٍ

la-qad khalaqnā l-insāna fī kabadin

Verily We have created man into toil and struggle.

Sura al-Tīn 95:4

لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ فِىٓ أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ

la-qad khalaqnā l-insāna fī aḥsani taqwīmin

We have indeed created man in the best of moulds,
